The Greco di Tufo from Cantine Napolitano called "Margal" comes from the oldest vines of the Avellino area, precisely the Greco di Tufo. This is an ancient Campanian vine of which we already find evidence in the works of Plino the Elder and in some frescoes in the Archaeological Park of Pompeii dating back to the 1st century BC. It is cultivated on soils rich in sulfur of volcanic origin with a prevalence of clay at about altitude above sea level. The harvest of the grapes during the harvest period is carried out rigorously by hand and provides for the fermentation and maturation in cement for a period of 6 months, with refinement in the bottle for at least 3 months. Margal is an elegant, long-lived and slightly acidic wine.
