  • What is Pay in Structural and Payment Pre-Authorization?
    When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. In these cases you will simply be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the booking, but without any charge. The sum will be taken from your credit card only in the cases provided for by the policies and conditions relating to your booking. In other cases, when the Partner does not adopt automatic availability and booking systems, but confirms reservations "manually", then you will be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the reservation, and then be directly charged at the same time as the Partner confirms the booking (within 24-48 hours). At that moment you will receive an email with the booking confirmation and payment.
  • How do I know if my card has been pre-authorized?
    By consulting your credit card balance you will see that your available balance will be temporarily reduced by the amount of your reservation. Comfortable and clean
Not sure why there are negative reviews. Our room was small but clean and the bathroom/shower was also clean. Shower had hot water and they provide basic toiletries. The bed was firm but comfortable - we slept well!

We had lunch at the hotel for convenience and we ate a simple meal of steak, salad and dessert. The waiter/bartender was very friendly. Breakfast is served on the 9th floor in a modern, clean dining room. There were plenty of options, including eggs and some sliced meat and cheese. Lots of pastries, coffee, tea. Couldn’t have asked for more, really.

The desk staff (afternoon and evening) were very helpful in guiding us how to change our money at Western Union or on the blue dollar market. We had no trouble doing that.

This is a small but friendly hotel and convenient to many things. I would stay here again

Small room, spend time outside
The neighborhood was great. Very quirky and fun. Safe and touristy but casual at the same time. Live musicians and restaurants.

Disliked · The bed was so hard. The bathroom was handicapped and awkward. The room had no flat space. No room to place anything.

Be aware if you are traveling with a Citizen from Argentina
I am a citizen of the United States, my partner for many years is a citizen of Argentina. I booked this hotel at Hotels.com I booked under my name with one guest and used a US credit card which excluded me from the 21% VAT tax. When we checked in he asked for both our passports. When they received my partners passport they informed us that we needed to pay the VAT since he was a citizen of Argentina. I informed him that the booking was under my name with one guest and that I used a credit card from the USA. We have travelled many times and this has never happened. His name was not on the reservation at all. They informed us next time I should check in alone then he can come later to avoid the VAT. If you are traveling with a citizen from Argentina, I would avoid this hotel. They next thing is they do not allow ANY food to be brought in. So if you are out late and want to bring back a snack, forget it. We did not change our towels except from the last day. When we arrived back from out tour, they only had one large towel, one hand towel and a floor towel. We had to call the desk and after an hour nothing. We went down and they guy at the desk informed us that one would be brought. After another hour a very nice lady brought us a hand towel and a rob. She informed us the hotel did not have any more drying towels and we would have to share. She did bring a rob and told us we could wear the robe to dry. The room was small but nice and we booked the superior room. I would have given one star, but the room was clean. One more thing, there are no english speaking channels on the tv but you can sign into netflix, your USA account and it works. But don't forget to sign out when you leave.

Didn’t honour booking.com commitment
Never got to stay here. Trip was due April 2020 and cancelled due to Covid-19. We’d booked all our accom through booking.com and they stated that all their hotels were going to refund - even non- Refundable. And they did. All THREE other hotels for the stay all gave full refunds, ALL the internal flights and BA refunded in full, the Mendoza wine trip refunded in full and the taxi from the airport in Mendoza to this hotel refunded in full. But not this hotel, in fact at the time they took the money twice for some reason, we got that back.

So no, we wouldn’t recommend dealings with this hotel. They keep saying are you thinking of using your credit and the answer is no. Be good if they were as honourable as every other business we were lucky enough to encounter in Argentina when booking what was due to be a fantastic holiday. But they aren’t, and an email today re affirmed that. Guess this shows where they stand when measured against their competitors.

Central but not comfortable
Positives: Central and within walking distance to plaza de independencia, friendly helpful staff, comfy bed, air conditioning

Negatives: PAPER THIN WALLS-very difficult to get to sleep, small bedrooms, terrible breakfast, smelly bathrooms(?are the drains blocked), to use jacuzzi costs extra and the steam room also smells bad(similar smell to the bathrooms)

Overall I'd only recommend as a stopover..
.we were there 3 nights so not a place to relax
