Horrible place to stay. Seems like there was no other staff working & the place was just all a mess from bottom to top.
At the end of March 2024, we had two rooms booked for an overnight stay on our way from Calgary, AB to Surrey, BC. Well upon entering you can smell the scent of cleaning chemicals right on the lobby. Only 1 guy was at the reception doing all the things including handing out the towels to us. We had 2 rooms at the 2nd Floor. The room was fair though but kind of dark, the brown curtain dangling was a mess & was hanging loosely that at night when you close the lights, it looked like a caped headless body looking at us. It was kind of funny but that was it, no choice we had to rest. In the morning, breakfast was supposed to be at 730am & the same guy at the reception the afternoon before was the one who brought a box of yogurt, some bread & fruits (which he placed on the fruit basket right after scratching his messed-up hair, seems like he just woke up & didn't have the time to freshen up. The juice dispenser was not working, the coffee wasn't prepared & there was no water. Breakfast though free was not we expected. All in all the experience was made more horrible when my wife & I on the way back to the room met a lady with 2 children in tow, the husband with 2 dogs in tow, like they came from the a dog cage as they all smelled like the canines they were bringing. My wife gagged so I had to bring her right away to the room at which she almost threw up. That's when shed decided that we have to leave right away.

If you can afford, pick a nicer hotel
Older hotel in desperate need of renovation. There is a bar and a liquor store right next to the hotel, and also a gas station with car wash.
There was a group of noisy people staying at this hotel when I was there and they were partying late into the night. They were smoking weed, and the hallway stank of weed.
There was underwear on the floor behind a fridge in my room left by previous resident; there were leftover crumbs in the drawer by the bedside.
For breakfast, there were only bananas, yogurt, toast with peanut butter, and coffee.
There is no elevator to the 2nd floor.
Hotel grounds have rubbish on the ground.
There is a family restaurant and a grocery store in close proximity, about 5-10 minutes walk.
The area where this hotel is situated is somewhat boring as there is nothing to do or see there. If you want to go to the lake, it is about 3 km walk downhill and then you have to come back all the way uphill.

One star is being kind. This place shouldn't be allowed to operate. The hotel is NOT clean and NOT safe. DO NOT STAY HERE. I checked out minutes after checking in because it was the worst hotel I've ever seen. There was blood on my sheets and drug paraphernalia in my room. There was open drug use in the halls and rooms. Extremely hostile customer service and fraudulent billing practices.

We booked this without checking reviews....because it is a Super 8....right? ....big mistake. Loads of terrible reviews, not sure why Super 8 hasn't yanked the rights for the franchise yet. Place is a drug den. Big signage that it is a non-smoking motel, first impressions of the room were it reeked of cigarettes, very dated, very dirty, not towels,, as we started looking around we cound a crack pipe under the bed, bed spread had to nasty stains on it..sheets seemed clean. The we interacted with just one staff and he was actually a really nice guy. The breakfast in the morning was actually non existent, there were literally just 3 apples out on the counter. Would absolutely never stay there again without a complete renovation and new management group. Ran in to a scary looking guy in the parking lot with his pit bull..read in to that what you will, also had a police cruiser parked inthe parking lot watching and waiting. Never ever stay there again.

Disappointing in my own hometown.
The main entrance was terrible and not inviting at all. The chairs were torn and carpet dirty. No one at the front desk. Called and asked to wait 10 min. b/c smoke detector needed to be replaced in our room. Fine we waited. Room seemed clean. No towels. Received towels and 2 were totally dirty. TV not working. Coffee machine not working. Needed to be plugged in and did that. 2 cups only no sugar no cream. 2nd day our key didn't work. Got clean towels. No room service was done while we were gone. Booked in for 5 days. TV still not working. Waited an hour. Phone not working so walked to the front desk. Asked to speak to manager, he is manager. Showed him the dirty towels and seemed he didn't care. Asked for TV to be repaired for the 2nd time. waited 2 hours and finally someone came. Repaired TV. I would not stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The hallways are a mess and need vacuuming.
