Great and clean appartement with astonishing view!
Last weekend we came to Zermatt and after the train and a hard walk up the hills to Haus Andorra we came to the conclusion (with the co-worker of Haus Andorra) that we had booked the wrong date. So we stood there.
Luckily the owner told us we could stay in another appartement. Very nice and very generous. The appartement was Very clean and beautifull. It was really a pleasure to stay here. We are really thankful for there help and wish them the best.

Wunderschöne Appartements mit Sicht aufs Matterhorn
Das Appartement ist schön in Winkelmatten gelegen. Es ist modern eingerichtet und hat alles, was man braucht. Vom Balkon geniesst man tolle Aussicht aufs Matterhorn. Einziger negativer Punkt war, dass alles anonym ablief - und man weder bei An-, noch bei Abreise jemals jemanden zu Gesicht bekam.

Great studio apartment
We stayed in the studio apartment which was located on the ground floor of the building for our ski holiday from the 9th-16th December 2018. When we arrived the resort was blanketed in snow but there were taxis outside Zermatt station. They all seem to know each chalet by name and had no problem finding Haus Andorra without needing to provide the address. I didn't really know where to go once I arrived but one of the neighbours kindly directed me to the apartment which is the door on the very front of the building- perhaps some signage and info would help. It was unlocked so could go straight in and keys were left on the table.
The studio itself was quite small but very modern and clean with ample amenities. Although on the ground floor we still could see the top of the Matterhorn. Pull down bed with wardrobe space, dining table, sofa seating with an extra coffee table, shower with toiletries and hairdryer.. and underfloor heating! Towels and robes provided. The TV was located in an awkward location which meant we couldn't watch TV whilst in bed but was not too much of a problem. There were lots of channel choices with quite a few English channels available.
The kitchen was quite cramped but we managed between us two. The dishwasher was very handy and washing up liquid, sponges and towels, bin liners, dishwasher tabs were provided. Coffee machine with pods was great. Some extra kitchenware would have helped, such as foil/baking paper and a colander (pasta meals were a challenge!). Previous residents had left things like cooking oil, salt and sugar.
We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and some chocolates (although rather stale) which was a nice touch. The owners also left an information booklet with useful numbers and information. We ordered bread to be delivered to our studio which was very nice.
There are ski equipment storage and spa facilities such as a steam room which I didn't use but looked really good from appearance. This is located inside and down one floor from the ground floor.
Location- quite a walk from Zermatt train station (~25 mins) which also has a steep uphill part which was very tiring after a days skiing and we are reasonably fit 20 somethings. We did manage it on most days though. Would not recommend wheeling luggage as the uphill path was covered in snow which turned to ice overnight as it was so cold. There is an e-bus which stops at Winkelmatten although did not use myself. Situated in a nice quite location with friendly locals greeting you as you passed. The next door neighbour had an adorable dog!
Furi ski lift was at the bottom of the hill which was also where we rented and stored our equipment (Dorsaz Sport - Intersport).
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely consider staying again if we went back.

Logement fonctionnel

Perfect apartment for a short break
We had a studio apartment for a 3 night trip to Zermatt.
Be aware, it is a long walk from the train station (and uphill!). We didn’t appreciate how far out of town it was, but that’s our fault!
The apartment itself is beautifully furnished: huge sofa and sky tv, pull down bed (we left it down and there was still plenty of room), beautiful bathroom and great kitchen. There were some nice touches including a small bottle of wine, chocolates and some coffee pods. The agents had also left some dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, oils and basic condiments.
The balcony had the most amazing views of the Matterhorn.... We spent hours sitting watching the view (and resting our weary legs!).
There were only a few minor things that would have made this 5/5.... somewhere to hang bathrobes in the bathroom, more than 1 chopping knife, instructions for the recycling, a table on the patio for drinks.
Highly recommended.
