Alan Cottage Review August 218
Enjoyed a 3 night stay in this comfortable cottage, quiet location just off the main route. Stunning views across Staffin Bay and hills beyond. Great location to cut across the island to go hill walking. Plenty of parking and only a short stroll to the sea. No access to the bay though. Very easy to live in, well kept with all mod cons. Only slight negative - would have liked more crockery/ glasses. No 🍺🍷glasses 😯! Would recommend a stay.

A great base for dinosaur footprint hunting.
I booked Alan's cottage in Staffin as a base for dinosaur footprint hunting with a very excited grandson. It was ideal and had all the facilities we needed at a very reasonable price. My grandson particularly liked sitting out in the garden on the picnic bench watching all the little birds whilst we had our tea.
I would go back in a heartbeat for another trip to Skye.

Restful setting
Excellent small cottage in peaceful site overlooking Staffin Bay. Ideal place to unwind, with a dinosaur attraction close, nearby to keep a six year old grandchild entertained (some imagination required - but the local museum will fill in the gaps!).

It is a Must
It was such a pleasure to go there, everything was brand new feeling, The scenery is utterly astounding, we were extremely lucky with the weather, which did add to it, but nevertheless it is a must to go there. The cottage was an absolute joy to step inside and only sorry we were not staying longer.
