Chesières 1 km from Villars: Very beautiful, cosy, comfortable chalet "Chalet L'Escapade", 3 storeys, renovated in 2022. In a quiet, sunny position, 1.4 km from the skiing area, south facing position. In the house: central heating system. Motor access to the house. In Winter: please take snow chains. Parking (for 3 cars). Shop 1.7 km, grocery 850 m, restaurant 800 m, bakery 850 m, 20 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Chesières - Hôtel du soleil" 1.2 km, indoor swimming pool 1.3 km, thermal baths "Lavey-les-bains" 19 km. Sports harbour 25 m, golf course (18 hole) 9 km, indoor tennis centre 2.4 km, sports centre 2.4 km, mountain railway 2.2 km, gondola lift 1.7 km, ski school 2 km, ice rink 1.7 km. The owner does not accept any youth groups. Free ski bus service to the ski region Villars.

Upper floor: 1 room with 1 french bed (160 cm, length 200 cm). 1 room with 1 french bed (180 cm, length 200 cm). 1 room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Bath/shower, sep. WC. Small balcony, south facing position, small terrace, south facing position and west facing position, small terrace, south facing position. Terrace furniture, barbecue. Very beautiful panoramic view of the mountains and the valley. Facilities: washing machine, dryer, children's high chair, hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Parking (3 cars). Tour des Alpes Vaudoises
Unterwegs auf der Tour des Alpes Vaudoises übernachte ich hier nach einem wunderschönen aber anstrengenden Wandertag.
Die Gastgeberin Rita empfängt mich freundlich und erklärt mir alles Wichtige.
Das (Einzel-)Zimmer im B&B ist richtig klein aber einerseits völlig ausreichend für den Zweck meines Besuchs. Andererseits charmant eingerichtet. Und einen Balkon gibt es obendrein dazu... gemütlich!

chalet la griotte
Ce chalet se trouve à Chesières.
Nous sommes un peu surpris par le prix de la chambre. Le parquet craque vraiment trop.
Le rapport qualité-prix ne correspond pas. Salle de bain commune et petit déjeuner en sus.
Il est vrai que si l'on veut loger à Chesières, il n'y a pas d'autres solution....

Really friendly host, cosy chalet
We stayed here two nights for a ski trip. The owner, Rita, is very friendly and helpful, and when we arrived late on the first night she made us a cup of tea and we sat with her and had a great chat :) She also gave us lots of good cafe and restaurant recommendations for the area. The room was very comfortable and clean, with plenty of storage space for clothes and a washbasin. Towels are provided. The shared bathroom we used was also very clean and well-maintained. The chalet has a good-sized storage room for ski equipment, and is directly opposite the bus stop where both the free ski bus and the normal bus service into the town stop. Rita was also happy to let us leave our bags in the storage room while we went skiing on our last day. A few steps away there is a nice bakery for coffee and pastries, and a small grocery store. We had a lovely stay here, and would definitely come back.

Toujours aussi bien
3ème visite et toujours aussi chaleureux. Chambre confortable et très propre. Serviette de bain fournie. Facile d'accèder aux pistes de ski et autres activités grâce à la navette.
À conseiller sans retenue.

Comme a la maison
La proprietaire des lieux, Rita, met tout en oeuvre pour que l'on se sente comme a la maison ! Convivialite, humour, proprete, tout est au rendez vous pour passer un sejour agreable a un prix raisonnable loin des tarifs prohibitifs de la suisse.

GREAT PLACE !
We stayed at chalet la Griotte and found the place very clean , comfortable and cozy, beds were really comfortable and breakfast was included which was great!
There's a free bus you can take just in front and also next door there's a nice place to rent skis and snowboards :) the owner was very kind and very helpful , we had a very nice time!

Une super Guesthouse
L'accueil est très chaleureux. Il y a tout le confort dont vous pouvez espérer d'une chambre d'hôte. Serviettes de bain, savon, shampooing, sèche cheveux et autres produits de salle de bains niveau hôtellerie. C'est très propre partout. La tenancière vous apporte du pain frais tous les matins. Le lit de notre chambre était très confortable. Le style vieux chalet est très cosy. La navette gratuite s'arrête devant le chalet pour vous amener au départ des remontées mécaniques. Aussi le car depuis la gare de Aigle s'arrête devant le chalet.

A warm place, feeling like home
I stayed at La Griotte for three days at the end of August 2015. I was told in advance that it changed the owner and the hotel was renovated, but I was still a little skeptic. I have been traveling around and have had the chance to stay even in fancy hotels, but what I experienced at La Griotte was something you feel only when you are invited to spend some days at your best friend’s house. The hotel was clean, quiet and everything was available and at the right place. There were the hair dryer and bathroom slippers too! The breakfast was rich and most important organic. The owner was so kind, helpful and always smiling. I felt like home!
There is a bus station just next to the hotel and by walking you can reach all the interest points in the area.
If I’ll ever return to Villars, for sure I’ll stay at La Griotte again.

Concepts "budget" and "Swiss" don't go well together
Expect the minimum (and bring your own towels) and you might be positively surprised. Very basic place (shared bathrooms, bunk beds) but still not cheap (CHF 230 for a 6 p room without breakfast). Fine for a night and very friendly owner.
