Some hunting frescos in the dining/living room prove its origin as an hunting hut although it has been a farmer house and a stable too. The date 1850 is probably when the house was converted from hunting lodge to farmhouse. There are also 2 apartments, one for the caretaker and one, seldom used, for the owners. Amazing house
This house is Amazing, kitchen was stocked well with extras oil, herbs, washing tabs etc. Pool was huge and garden area was very spacious. House was plenty big enough for 2 families (7 people). Table area was shaded by grape vines and perfect for meal times. If you go please feed the little white tabby cat that comes round. Lovely house and nearby Volterra is beautiful. We would definitely return to this amazing house and area.
