Hospedaria Abrigo De Botelho

My wife, I, and 2 of our friends had a very memorable stay at the Hospedaria Abrigo de Botelho mid-December 2022.

* Property: is a well-maintained beautiful heritage building with Goan-Portuguese architecture, with tastefully curated & decorated interiors. Loved the wooden staircase, the decorated ceiling, rustic lamps, vintage furniture, double-height ceilings, large doors & windows, thick walls, and beautifully tiled floors.

* Rooms: we were accommodated in 1 premium room and 1 executive room on the upper floor. Both rooms were fresh, clean and spacious. The premium room was even larger. Both rooms had beautiful furniture and fixtures, as well as modern creature comforts. The executive room had a small balcony. Bathrooms were clean, loved the bathroom-vanities, loved the brown-marbled floors in the bathroom.

* Location: Nestled within the beautifully picturesque Fountainhas / Latin Quarters on a peaceful and quiet inner lane. Very short walking distance from the famous local bakeries and eateries.

* Host, service and breakfast: A wonderful and smooth experience right from enquiry till check-out. Roy, the proprietor and our host, was an absolute pleasure to converse with! Roy and our group got to know each other a bit more over breakfast, and conversed about various topics while we enjoyed a wide variety of Indian and Continental food and beverages from the fresh, delicious and plentiful breakfast spread at the in-house cafeteria. I got to try the delicious Goan Banana buns (sweet puris) that had eluded me for all my previous meals at Panjim, and loved the fresh Goan Poee (bread) too. The service team too was very attentive and helpful – spotted us and approached to help find a car parking spot when we arrived, helped carrying our luggage up and down between the rooms and the car, as well as during breakfast service.

* Parking: is available alongside the foot-paths right outside the hotel building. We always found parking quickly for our car even in the peak December season.

Though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but I feel like we didn’t do justice by staying there just one night – will surely love to visit again if Roy’s able to accommodate us!

Ich kam rein und war begeistert. Das Hotel selbst, die Zimmer, der Service - alles topp. Es ist sauber, es ist renoviert, alles bestens. Unser Zimmer hatte einen hübschen Balkon mit Sitz- und wer möchte Rauchgelegenheit. So werden Nichtraucher nicht belästigt und Raucher müssen nicht extra raus. Wasser, Kaffee, Tee inklusive Wasserkocher war auf dem Zimmer vorhanden. Das Bett war hervorragend. Uns hat der Deckenventilator gereicht, wer es noch kühler haben möchte, nutzt einfach die Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück (ausreichend und lecker) haben wir im kleinen Garten eingenommen.
Der Besitzer spricht sehr gutes Englisch und ist extrem nett. Leider mussten wir eine Nacht stornieren, was ohne großes Bohai möglich war. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Cette magnifique maison bleue est bien tenu par un couple de Goan très gentil et soucieux de plaire à leur clientèle. C’est très bien situé et c’est un endroit reposant.
Je conseille fortement de rester quelques jours pour découvrir le vieux Goa.

Nous avons débarqué là, juste après avoir réservé à côté. Nous voulions comparer. Très aimablement accueilli par le propriétaire, ce dernier nous a donné de nombreux conseils sur la ville et fait visiter une chambre de cette belle maison. Vieille maison pleine de souvenirs, meubles magnifiques, beaux carrelages au sols...nous étions sous le charme...du coup, nous n'avons pas été chercher plus loin et avons confirmé notre venue pour le lendemain. Le lendemain, ces bonnes sensations sur l'établissement et la délicatesse de ces hôtes ne s'est pas vue diminuer, bien au contraire. Respect du personnel, soin des clients, grande chambre décorée avec goût, eau fraiche, café, petit déjeuner inclus pris dans le jardin....du bonheur ! Merci au propriétaire et à sa charmante épouse, sereine et douce, pour cette convivialité exceptionnelle pour nos dernières nuits avant le retour.

Par contre petit déjeuner très moyen , n’espérait pas un jus de fruit il n’y en a pas!!!! Boissons chaude ou de l’eau !!!
Je ne comprends pas trop les éloges , il n’y a vraiment rien d’exceptionnel

La casa es hermosa, muy bien conservada y decorada, habitaciones amplias y muy cómodas, con caja de seguridad, el baño con muy buena presión de agua. El desayuno muy bien también. Atendido por sus dueños, una pareja muy agradable. Destaca la limipieza. Creo que fue uno de los mejores alojamientos en los que estuvimos en India.

Maison historique au confort indéniable, belle literie et charmant balcon pour chaque chambre. Petit déjeuner complet dans le jardin. Le propriétaire est très chaleureux et donne spontanément d'excellents conseils ou suggestions.

Nous avons passé un séjour parfait dans cette charmante guest house fin janvier 2018.
Emplacement idéal, dans le plus joli quartier de Panji ou il fait bon flaner. Rien n'est loin et tout se fait à pied. Une grande chambre très propre avec beaucoup de charme comme tout le reste de l'établissement. Le petit déjeuner servi dans le jardin est très complet, les pains maison sont excellents. Mais ce qui rend cet établissement inoubliable ce sont les propriétaires. Très attentionnés tout au long de la journée. Toujours prêts à aider pour tout. Ils nous ont conseillés pour les restaurants, pour les déplacements des conseils toujours avisés. Toutes la famille est là, les deux fils aident leurs parents avec un très joli sourire. Du coup nous avons très bien mangé, pris le bus pour Old Goa, fait du shopping au bon endroit. Bref un séjour fantastique.

Stile portoghese, completamente azzurra, questa guest house è davvero carina. Camere spaziose, letto grande, bagno ampio e un bel terrazzino con sedie a dondolo e tavolino. Il proprietario è un signore sorridente e simpatico. A 5 minuti dalla stazione dell'autobus, a 10 minuti di viaggio da Old Goa. Lo consiglio.

Un hotel con mucho caracter, ya que es una antigua mansion portuguesa. Es preciosa, amplia y muy limpia. En el barrio de Fontainhas, una mezcla india-portuguesa muy autentica. Roy, el propietario muy atento y servicial para ayudarnos con todos los detalles del viaje y recomendarnos visitas. Almuerzo muy bueno, típico indio, en un jardin interior límpio y fresquito. Muy recomendable para vivir una ruta mas autentica.

El sito es muy recomendable, muy cómodo, muy limpio y muy buen trato!

Las playas alrededor están genial y hay varios sitios para comer cerca del hotel.

Roy y su mujer son unos excelentes anfitriones! Repetiría seguro!

Estuvimos alojados dos noches en esta preciosa casa colonial en Panjim a finales del mes de octubre.
El dueño es encantador y con él pude hablar en portugués, idioma que adoro, y matar la morriña.
Habitaciones espectaculares, cama super cómoda y desayuno riquísimo.
El en una hojita te recomienda todo lo necesario en Goa.
Mil gracias!! Volveremos!!!.

Llegamos a la hospedería por casualidad, viajamos un grupo de 4 amig@s, excelente ubicación, atención exquisita por parte de Roy, instalaciones equiparadas a un parador, desayuno exquisito, Roy nos aconsejo todo, rutas que hacer, donde cambiar dinero, sacar otros billetes a nuestros destinos.... un 10, sobresaliente.

Non posso che confermare le ottime recensioni che precedono la mia. Ampie camere in stile coloniale, pulite e silenziose. Letto comodo, biancheria cambiata giornalmente. Il proprietario è molto simpatico e sempre pronto a darti un consiglio su quanto da fare a Goa. Colazione non eccelsa ma comunque abbastanza varia, ogni mattina comunque c'erano pane burro e marmellata, cereali, frutta fresca (di solito banane, più a rotazione anguria/ananas/papaya) the, caffè e un paio di piatti di cucina indiana. Consiglio vivamente a chi decide di soggiornare a Panjim anziché sulle spiagge. Tra l'altro la posizione della guest House è un ottima base di partenza x visitare sia la parte sud che quella nord del Goa.

questa graziosa guest house è situata nel quartiere piu' caratteristico di panaji,è una vecchia dimora portoghese restaurata.la camera in stile coloniale è spaziosa e arredata in stile coloniale(ma semplice)il bagno è davvero grazioso,non ne rimarrete delusi!la colazione si consuma sul retro in un grazioso giardinetto interno,non ci sono molte camere ed il simpatico proprietario fara' di tutto per farvi sentire a casa(vi chiamera' addirittura per nome!) oltretutto a notte costa poco.Dopo un viaggio notturno,sono arrivato a panaji alle 5 di mattina,la guesthouse era ancora chiusa(sarei dovuto arrivare alle 10 di mattina) ho chiamato il proprietario e nel giro di 10 minuti è arrivato,ha fatto aprire la guest house e mi ha fatto accomodare in camera!al momento del check out non mi ha fatto pagare le ore extra di permanenza!veramente un gesto carino!ci tornero'!

Geschmackvolle Unterkunft im Altstadtviertel von Panjim. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten kann man alle zu Fuß erreichen. Der Besitzer kümmert sich persönlich und das ist sehr angenehm.Er hat mir sogar persönlich eine kurze Rundfahrt durch"seinViertel" angeboten, die ich natürlich gerne wahrgenommen habe. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist gut mit bequemen Betten, einwandfrei funktionierender Klimaanlage und modernen Bädern. Tee und Kaffee kann man auf dem Zimmer zubereiten. Es gibt morgens ein kleines aber ausreichendes Frühstücksbuffet.
Erwähnen möchte ich noch eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit in Panjim "Paperworks", ein fantastischer Laden, wo man zu günstigen Preisen erstaunliche Dinge rund ums Papier erwerben kann.
Ich kann die Hospedaria Abrigo de Botelho für einen Aufenthalt in Panjim auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Leider schon eine ganze Weile her, aber eine Rezession muss sein, denn es war Die BESTE Unterkunft die wir auf unserer Indienreise hatten. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Bett sehr bequem, die Klimaanlage leise und der Balkon vom Zimmer war super schön. Der Hotelbesitzer, Roy, war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns bei unseren Planungen geholfen. Er war uns eine wertvolle Unterstützung. Bei unserer Ankunft in seinem Hotel hatte ich Fieber und Schwierigkeiten mit der Verdauung, wir haben Roy deshalb nach einem Arzt/Krankenhaus gefragt. Roy hat uns dann am Abend zum Krankenhaus gebracht, mit der Vorwarnung, dass die "Ärzte" mich dort bestimmt behalten wollen für manche Tage. So war es auch, die Ärzte hatten gemeint man könne mir NUR helfen, wenn ich im Krankenhaus bleibe. Das wollte ich nicht. Roy hat uns dabei auch unterstützt und uns zu einem anderen Arzt gefahren. Dieser hat uns dann wirklich wertvolle Tipps gegeben, Medikamente zum einnehmen und ich wurde auch ohne Krankenhausaufenthalt schnell wieder gesund. Roy tat dies alles aus Hilfsbereitschaft zu seinen Gästen. VIELEN DANK ROY! Das Frühstück war ebenfalls ein Traum, es war sehr vielseitig und sehr ansprechend aufgebaut. Ich konnte das Frühstück zwar erst am letzten Morgen genießen, mein Freund freute sich allerdings jeden Morgen darauf. Vielen Dank Roy!

Long time ago, our india tour… we just hadn’t any time to write a recommendation, but we have to, because it was the best Hotel which we had during our Indian tour and Roy helped us so much with everything. The rooms were really clean, the bed comfortable, The AC quite and the balcony absolutely nice. The owner, Roy, was very helpful and helped us with our plans. He was a big Help also for my deseace. As I arrived at his hotel I had a fiver and some problems with my stomage. He drove me and my boyfriend to a hospital in panjim. They told me, that I have to stay there for 2 nights, otherwise they cant do anything for me. I didn’t like this and Roy helped us again. We payed the price for the doctors view and Roy drove us to an another doctor. This doctor helped us and gave me some antibiotic and advise what I shouldn’t eat and what is good for me. Really soon I got healthy. Roy helped us just because we are his guests. He didn’t took extra money. THANK YOU, so much Roy! And bevore I forget, the breakfast was incredible, it was a lot of different stuff and it tastes delicious, luckily I could eat it on the last day – my boyfriend enjoyed the breakfast every morning. THANK YOU for the nice stay…

Mitten im ältesten und wohl schönsten Stadtviertel von Panjim, Fontainhas, dessen Häuser mehrheitlich im portugiesischen Kolonialstil gehalten sind, befindet sich die Hopedaria Abrigo de Botelho. Mit viel Gefühl vom Hotelbesitzer selbst restauriert, bietet die Hospedaria nicht nur komfortabel und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, sondern auch einen ruhigen und schattigen Garten: ideal zum Frühstücken und zum Schmökern. Das große Plus des Hotels sind aber die Besitzer selbst. Roy und Sharon sind nicht nur äußerst hilfsbereit, sondern auch immer gern zu einem Gespräch bereit: über die Geschichte Goas, über Kultur, Religion, Politik, etc. Die Hospedaria Botelho kann daher auch Ort kulturellen Austausches sein, wenn man/frau will.
