FAQ Frequently Asked Questions
  • Are the prices always the same even if the date changes?
Prices vary based on different factors that can be seasonal, day of the week, hotel occupancy status, promotions, particular fairs in the city and more. The advice, to see the prices, is to enter the dates of the stay and make your own comparisons.

  • Is breakfast always included in the booking?
No, it depends on the rate and the facility if it is organized to offer it. The information regarding breakfast is specified in the description of the accommodation rate, in the summary before booking. Check carefully before booking what is included or not and the type of service offered. What you booked will then be summarized in the confirmation email received from MeTour.it.

  • Are meals included in the booking?
No, it depends on the rate and the facility if it is organized to offer them. The information regarding meals is specified in the description of the accommodation rate, in the summary before booking and in the confirmation email received from MeTour.it. Read the partner's profile carefully and choose among the treatments it offers.

  • Can I request extra services from the accommodation?
Yes, you can request extra services such as early or late check-in, an extra bed or crib, a transfer or other by contacting the property directly before your arrival. Some types of services may be subject to availability and for this reason we recommend that you contact the property directly as soon as possible.

  • What should I do if upon arrival I am assigned a room different from the one I booked?
Bring a printed copy of your reservation with you and make your demonstrations directly to the facility staff in charge of check-in. If this is not enough to resolve the situation, immediately contact MeTour.it customer service, providing the reservation details and the description of the problem.

  • Are small pets allowed?
It is often clearly indicated in the property's page and for this reason we invite you to read their policies carefully. Where not indicated we invite you to contact the property directly or contact us through your personal area after booking or write to us at info@metour.it for more information.

A faire !!!

Nice stroll
This is a nice place allowing to learn a little about salt processing in the area (not much though, I guess a tour would be needed to have complete picture). Anyway a nice short stroll under the sun and options to have a drink.

Short stop on visit to Ile d'Oleron
This was a very short stop. We were looking for a restaurant, but only found a very busy bar/cafe, the only restaurant was closed, so we moved on. We did not have time to visit the museum, or the nature trail. I am not able to make a firm recommendation, only to say that it appears to be a popular stop for visitors.

Wunderschön......
......gelegen.

Salty and seafoody
An interesting diversion from the beach, but not a huge amount going on other than a few touristy shops and some places to grab a snack and drink. You can hire boats and find out about salt production. That said, the oysters and white wine were good and good value. The producers' market during the summer is OK for kids, with loads of cool old wooden games, but lacking much in the way of stuff to buy for dinner. Also makes a nice cycle ride on designated paths.

Attractive little place off the beaten track.
This little spot is the epicentre of Oleron's recently revived sea salt industry which is well described in an excellent museum located in former Oyster farmers' sheds. The salt pans are easily accessible and the surrounding landscape attractive. There is a very good seafood restaurant on the complex and an interesting farmers' market every Wednesday.
