Log cottage situated by a clear water lake (Lake Porontimajärvi). 38 km north of Kuusamo, Ruka 14,4 km, Lake Porontimajärvi 30 m, gently sloping, child-frendly sandy beach, a pier.
Log cottage, built in 1997 (extension and renovation made in 2005, sauna and washroom renovated 2020), bedroom 1: double bed, bedroom 2: 2 beds, 1 bunk bed (loft): 2 beds. Combined kitchen and living room, electric sauna.
Additional equipment: Rowing boat and life jackets, two piers: one on the swimming beach and one for the boat. Air source heat pump for additional heating and cooling.
Additional information: Konttainen fell about 3 km, Pieni Karhunkierros 18 km.
The owner makes a cross country skiing track, which leads to the official skiing track (distance 4 km, Valtavaara skiing track). Also possible to ski to Juuma village and to the Porontimajoki wilderness hut when Karhunkierros Wilderness Trail is opened. Snowshoes and licenses for fishing nets available from the owner (no fishing nets or other fishing permits available, only for fishing net to lake Porontimajärvi. Client needs to purchase also the fishing management fee).
Reservations start at 16.00 and end at 12.00 (also in weekend bookings).
