Shortest review in a nutshell, it's a heaven on earth, a great resort with awesome view and excellent hospitality. Plans to visit this resort thrice a year being a local resident.
Thanks to each member of staff who helped in our booking and made sure that no stone remained unturned in our services and hospitality.

Service at its Best.
Excellent hospitality shown by Philip, Baptist and Avinash. We got very good service at the restaurant during our stay. For two days we stayed and had our Lunch and dinner. Our friends trip to Goa and stay at LA Cabana was made more interesting by the quick service.

Un rapport qualité prix moyen pour cet établissement un peu désorganisé...Arrivés en milieu de matinée nous n'avons pu voir notre chambre supérieure vue mer que vers 14 h bien qu'elle soit vide à notre arrivée mais elle a été la dernière a être nettoyée !! Vue mer moyen car en fait vous avez une petite véranda couverte et très fermée vue mer mais avec seulement un ventilateur donc il y fait une chaleur torride pas de terrasse privative devant votre chambre et tout le monde passe devant pour aller au restaurant (très moyen!!) ou à la piscine (assez petite vu la taille de l'établissement..et attention bords très très glissants et dangereux si mouillés) .La chambre ne dispose que d'une petite fenêtre sur le coté sans vue aucune, donc des erreurs de conception assez fatales.. grande salle de bain très agréable par contre...literie confortable et petite déco correcte mais sans plus. personnel nonchalant et peu formé !! reste l'emplacement qui est sympathique et calme...Sur la plage quelques transats mais vraiment peu là aussi vu le nombre de chambres...Qualités disparates d'hébergement, pour tous les gouts sans doute pour tous les prix même de grandes tentes (chaleur ??)... Pas exceptionnel donc même si à l'arrivée on trouve ça joli.... PDJ correct sans plus là aussi vu le prix...Hum Hum...

Finger weg!! Reine Abzocke!!!!!
Nach unserer 12-tägigen Rundreise durch Rajasthan, freuten wir uns auf 10 Tage erholsamen Badeurlaub in GOA. Wir haben 3 Monate vor Abreise eine 100%ige Vorauszahlung ( Wooden Cottage, 9500 INR) geleistet. Für indische Verhältnisse ist das schon eine stolze Summe, bei der man auch einen gewissen Luxus erwarten kann! Leider kam alles ganz anders...

Wir wurden um 20 Uhr vom Flughafen abgeholt und ins Hotel gefahren. Um 21 Uhr kamen wir dann schliesslich an und mussten entsetzt feststellen, dass es das falsche Hotel am falschen Strand ( Riva Beach Hotel) war. Natürlich beschwerten wir uns umgehend bei unserem Travel-Agent und der Hotelleitung. Unser Travel-Agent hatte noch 1 Tag vorher mit dem Hotel gesprochen und die Reservierung wurde auch bestätigt! Der GM war natürlich nicht mehr zu erreichen.

Am nächsten Tag ( 11 Uhr) kam erst der GM. Der Grund unserer Ausgliederung war eine Hochzeit! Super... anscheinend sind wir nur Gäste 2. Wahl aber unser Geld wird natürlich gerne kassiert. Man bot uns im Riva Beach Hotel ein Upgrade an, wenn wir dort bleiben würden. Wir lehnten dankend ab.
1. Uns gefiel das Hotel und die Lage nicht.
2. Wir hatten uns auf das LaCabana gefreut.
3. Selbst mit dem Upgrade wäre das Riva Hotel um 500 INR billiger gewesen.
Nach langem hin und her mussten wir noch eine weitere Nacht im Riva bleiben. Als Gegenleistung wurde uns im LaCabana ein Upgrade ( Wooden Cottage -> Beach Facing Villa) versprochen. Desweiteren bekamen wir ein Candlelight Dinner am Strand und für die restliche Zeit einen Roller. Das hörte sich ja alles ganz gut an.

Die Ankunft im LaCabana war ganz ok. Wir wurden wieder erst gegen 11 Uhr abgeholt. Die Anlage ist ganz hübsch und man könnte sich auch gut erholen.

Jetzt zu unserem tollen Upgrade ( Beach Facing Villa). Lasst die Finger davon!!!!!!!!!!
1. In dem Steinhaus wohnen 3 Parteien.
2. Die Wände sind sehr hellhörig.
3. Privatsphäre = 0
4. Keine Terrasse
5. Die Zimmer sind sehr dunkel
6. Alle Jalousien waren defekt, daher sehr dunkel. Da die Zugbänder teilweise abgerissen waren, konnte man nur mit viel Fantasie das Licht herein lassen.
7. Das Bad war sehr dunkel
8. Keine Terrasse!
9. Bediensteten Eingang war direkt nebenan
10. Alle Gäste laufen in ca 2 Metern Abstand am Eingang vorbei!
Kurz und Bündig... es war eine Katastrophe!!!!!!
Da wir jetzt schon seit 14 Tagen aus dem Koffer lebten, hatten wir keine Lust mehr ein weiteres mal umzuziehen.

Dies war aber noch nicht das Ende! 3 Tage später kam wieder der GM zu uns und bot uns an in ein hinteres Zimmer zu ziehen. Dies geschah aber nicht aus Nächstenliebe, sondern weil eine 2 tägige Hochzeit stattfinden wird und es daher sehr, sehr laut wird.... SUPER.... tolle Erholung! Also wieder die Koffer packen und in unser ursprünglich gebuchtes Zimmer ziehen. Na wenigstens hatten wir dort eine Terrasse und etwas Privatsphäre.... bis zur Hochzeit. Diese war so laut dass wir uns anschreien mussten! Stell Dich in der Disco vor die Box und Du kannst Dir die Lautsärke vorstellen. Es machte einen aggressiv und wir waren gezwungen das Hotel von morgens bis spät abends zu verlassen. Zum Glück hatten wir den Roller.

Von den 10 fest gebuchten Tagen hatten wir volle 1,5 Tage mit Umziehen verschwendet... diese Tage konnte uns keiner zurückgeben.

Nun zur Sauberkeit.
Wir haben uns schon gewundert, dass unser Zimmer seit 2 Tagen nicht mehr gereinigt wurde. Also sind wir zur Rezeption marschiert und fragten dort nach.
In diesem Hotel werden die Zimmer NUR gereinigt, wenn man den Schlüssel an der Rezeption hinterlegt!? Was ist das denn für ein Blödsinn. Wenn man dies nicht macht, bekommt man weder frisches Wasser, noch werden die Tassen und Gläser getauscht und man darf sich den Hintern irgendwann mit der Hand abwischen, denn auch das Toilettenpapier wird nicht aufgefüllt. Sollte doch mal eine Reinigung stattfinden, könnte man diese eher als mittelmässig einstufen. Der Sand liegt noch an der selben Stelle, die Handtücher haben die selben Flecken und bei der Bettdecke bin ich mir auch nicht so sicher....

Das Hotelpersonal ist eher schlecht bis faul ( bis auf sehr wenige Ausnahmen). Bei der Armada an Personal sollte man eigentlich auf Händen getragen werden. Wir wurden eines besseren belehrt.... Man wird weder am Pool, im Himmelbett mit Strandblick oder am Strand bedient. Es stehen 4 Angestelle an der leeren Bar, es kommt aber keiner auf die Idee und fragt nach. Anscheinend möchte das Hotel nichts an den Getränken verdienen. Das Essen würde ich als OK einstufen... einmal probieren und es reicht. Zum Glück sind in der Nähe einige gute Restaurants.

Fazit:
1. Wer gerne viel Geld für wenig Leistung zaht, ist hier genau richtig!
2. Wer gerne einmal eine Indische Hochzeit erleben möchte, hier wirst Du fündig.

Ich zahle gerne etwas mehr Geld, wenn ich dafür auch einen erholsamen Urlaub bekomme. Dies ist hier aber nicht der Fall. Die Leistung ist hier unverschämt schlecht und wir hatten hier stets das Gefühl, dass man nur an unser Geld möchte. Für indische Verhältnisse ist die Übernachtung sehr teuer. Selbst in Europa finde ich ohne lange suchen zu müssen billigere und bessere Übernachtungen! Auf der Internetseite wird zwar eine Braut abgebildet, was aber nicht bedeutet dass dort wöchentlich eine Hochzeit statt findet. Es ist ein No-Go dies dem Gast zu verheimlichen und dann auch noch so dreist zu sein den vollen Betrag zu verlangen!! Uns wurde das Hotel von unserem Travel Agent empfohlen. Hätten wir das vorher gewusst, dann hätte wir auch niemals dort gebucht.
Wir waren sogar soweit, dass wir für die letzten 5 Nächte in ein anderes Hotel (Yap Yum Hotel) wollten... leider war dies ausgebucht. Die 500 Euro wären aber dieses Hotel wert gewesen... es ist eine Oase!
Ach nach 2 Monaten rege ich mich noch so über diese Dreistigkeit auf und das kann und darf bei einem Urlaub einfach nicht sein. Ich kann leider nur noch eines zu dem Hotel sagen.

War nicht gut!
Ich sage vorher, dass ich für eine gute Leistung gerne gutes Geld zahle. Aber hier war die Leistung nur auf den ersten Blick gut: schöne Aussicht, einmalige Lage, Palmen, gepflegter Garten und direkter Zugang zum schönen Strand.

Auf den zweiten Blick gab es viele Probleme. Im Juli 2015 haben mein Freund und ich hier eine Woche verbracht. Der Preis für eine Hütte pro Nacht inklusive Frühstück betrug ca. 110€. Die Hütte war allerdings nur 12 m² groß und das Badezimmer winzig. Beim Duschen musste man aufpassen, dass das Toilettenpapier nicht nass wurde. Es gab keine Ablage im Bad. Das Kabel des Elektrodurchlauferhitzers hing lose an der Wand herunter. Außerdem war im ganzen Bad keine Steckdose vorhanden.

Es gab auch im Zimmer keine Steckdose z. B. für Mobiltelefon oder Tablett. Für diesen Zweck haben wir die Steckdose des Kühlschranks benutzt. Die Klimaanlage bläst die kalte Luft direkt zum Rücken. Deshalb haben wir unter Ventilatorenluft geschlafen. Im November war das ok.

Zwar ist die Hotelanlage genug groß, aber der Pool klein (ca. 15-18m²). Es war ungepflegt. Nachdem ich mich bei einem Mitarbeiter darüber beschwert habe, wurde oberflächig etwas saubergemacht.

Das Frühstück war langweilig, nur Puri-Brot, Kartoffel-Bhaji, Ei, Sandwich-Brot, Butter und Marmelade; allerdings jeden Tag das Gleiche.

Nur einmal wurde abends eine Diskothek für Hotelgäste organisiert. Allerdings kamen auch Hotelfremde-Gäste.

Ich kann dieses Hotel leider nicht empfehlen, obwohl die Lage sehr-sehr schön ist. Es fehlen Augen und Hände des Besitzers, den ich nur einmal mit Ehefrau gesehen habe. Er gab seinen Mitarbeitern nur kurze Anweisungen und war verschwunden und dabei verdient er ohne Mühe so viel Geld, ca. 100€ pro Nacht für eine Hütte! Für Indien, wo die Löhne so niedrig sind, ist das ein großes Geld...

Déplorable
Un personnel inefficace, incompétent, et qui n'est même pas capable de sourire. Une cascade de problèmes qui nous ont fait perdre du temps (un lit dur comme une planche de bois, une eau marron, des wc dont la chasse ne fonctionne pas, unec clim qui tombe en panne). Un wifi qui marche par intermittence au sein du complexe et jamais dans la chambre. Un petit déjeuner bas de gamme. Le restaurant pourrait sauver la mise si on ne vous prenez pas pour un pigeon. Commander des crevettes grillées et selon l'humeur du chef vous aurez des tailles différentes et un serveur incompétent vous dira même que le prix varie selon la taille, hors que je sache les king prawns ont toujours la même taille sinon ce sont des jumbos, Tiger ou autre. La piscine qui ouvre à 7h30 est nettoyée à partir de 9h00 ou plutôt on passe l'épuisette pour la forme. Dans ce resort vous payez pour des services et vous n'avez que des excuses...
