The seaside resort, Marari beach in Mararikulam, is a tribute to the fisherfolk of this region who populate its spirit in obvious and subtle ways. The guest cottages echo their dwellings in style and character while our cuisine reflects the culinary subtleties of these people whose sensibilities and culture have been influenced by the charms and challenges of the oceans.
Garden Villa
These are standard rooms with a living cum bedroom, a private sit out and a partly open-to-sky bathroom. There are twin bedded rooms and large bedded rooms. Three pairs of them are interconnecting ones. Two cottages have been specially designed for guests with special needs. It is a wheelchair friendly room with no steps, has railings in the bathroom etc.

These are quaint little villas with an additional small private pool to itself. We have twin bedded rooms, large bedded rooms and one for guests with special needs, which is wheelchair-friendly with no steps and has railings in the bathroom etc.
Suite with Private Pool
The deluxe pool villas are all large bedded. It has a separate living room, a spacious bedroom, a passage, a private sit out, a closed bathroom and one bathroom opens up to the sky. It has a much larger private pool with a garden. One of these villas is specially designed for those with special needs; it is a wheelchair friendly room with no steps and has railings in the bathroom etc.

Home away from home
This review is long overdue. We stayed here for a couple of nights over New Years with a group of 12 adults and 3 kids. The property is nice with a badminton court, courtyard with hammocks, and roof terrace for lounging and meals. The rooms are a good size, a/c works well, and it is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. But what really makes this place amazing is Mr. Raju and his wife. They truly treat you like family and are so incredibly helpful. We had called ahead and requested a typical Kerala meal on banana leaf upon our arrival which they happily arranged. There was a wonderful cultural program planned for us on New Year’s Eve. And he arranged for a houseboat last minute on New Year’s Day. They also happily entertained the kids during the stay and all meal times so that the adults could relax and enjoy the food which was all very tasty. Only regret is that we didn’t stay here longer. Would happily come back and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a home away from home while on vacation!

nice family place to relax
Very nice and committed service, good location. The owner helped in the organization of visiting the surrounding attractions. Simple and clean room and very good dinners. The house is situated not far from a nice and quiet beach. All this made the stay here a great rest for us after exploring the northern parts of India

One of the best homestay at mararikulam
I would like to recommend this home stay as it gifted us the best memories there. 24th Feb was my dad's 70th birthday and i asked Mr. Raju (owner) to get the cake only. But he arranged the best of best like a small party with decorations, music, mike etc. my dad was really surprised by this arrangement and they made our day and stay very special. my 1 year and 4 year kids were super excited. Felt like our own home. this is our first home stay as we always prefer resorts only. we are waiting to stay there again when our relatives will come from outside India. Special thanx to Mr. Raju and his wife for adding a chapter of good memories into our life .

Relaxing place to stay
I had travelled to Marari for business. I had to sort out booking on wrong dates on my end. Was sent here by another local homestay. The owner was accommodating. The room was nice. Breakfast was good. The location is very close to the beach. So I could spend some morning time by the beach. The place is surrounded by nature as well. Overall it was good stay.
