As you are all aware, since earlier this year the global price of oil has been increasing significantly from what are considered historical norms. During this time our hotels have absorbed a more than 100% price increase for the diesel that the hotels purchase to create electricity across our Maldivian Island Hotels.
We have now unfortunately reached the point that this is no longer a cost increase that we can continue to absorb into our business. As a result of this Minor Hotels have reluctantly taken decision to implement a $ 40 fuel surcharge per room per night for stays in any of our below hotels for all new bookings .   • What is Paga in Structural and what are Payment Pre-Authorisations?
    When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. In these cases you will simply be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the booking, but without any charge. The sum will be taken from your credit card only in the cases provided for by the policies and conditions relating to your booking. In other cases, when the Partner does not adopt automatic availability and booking systems, but confirms reservations "manually", then you will be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the reservation, and then be directly charged at the same time as the Partner confirms the booking (within 24-48 hours). At that moment you will receive an email with the booking confirmation and payment.
  • How do I know if my card has been pre-authorized?
    By consulting your credit card balance you will see that your available balance will be temporarily reduced by the amount of your booking. In other cases and depending on the policy of your credit card circuit, you may also find an entry in the monthly summary of card movements: "pending operation". The pre-authorization block, depending on the situation, will be maintained according to the policies and terms and conditions of what has been booked.

Spectacular experience; wonderful team
Our stay at Anantara Veli was wonderful and will be a memorable holiday for life. Everything you could think of, including room, service, food, excursions/activities and spa etc. was spectacular.

On reflection, what stood out the most to us, was the wonderful team. Our host, Yasir, was kind and attentive, and deeply invested in making this holiday as special as can be, as was also true for every one of the staff members we met.

Finally, a special thanks to the Aquafanatics water sports team. We thoroughly loved our excursions, which included the nurse shark snorkeling, scuba diving (special shout-out to the instructor Mostafa) and in particular, the whale shark snorkeling day trip, where the team left us with one of the most memorable days of our lives.

Amazing Experience

Lugar perfecto para luna de miel
Increible. Nos encantó la opción de moverte entre las 3 islas del resort, la variedad de comida que ofrecen y lo buena que está. Si buscas tranquilidad la encuentras y si quieres actividades tambien. Además, Ainoha es genial. Se ocupó de nosotros en todo momento para hacernos pasar 5 días de luna de miel fantásticos!

Increíble
Estuvimos una semana en Anantara Veli Resort y fue un gran acierto. Empenzando por el hotel, que contaba con una gastronomía muy variada y con muchas opciones, siguiendo por todas las actividades que ofrecían, con el trato de todo el personal del hotel como la maravillosa villa en la que nos hospedamos (la villa deluxe sobre el agua con piscina). Era increíble. Una lastima fue encontrarnos el restaurante sea.fire.salt cerrado por reformas, así como no poder hacer la actividad de parasailing por avería en el barco, pero aún así toda la experiencia fue maravillosa.
Gracias, también, a que nuestra estancia allí fuera perfecta es gracias a Faruza, una gran profesional, atenta y maravillosa persona. Estamos muy contentos de que nos asignaran a ella como ayudante. Sin duda, una gran ayuda. Por desgracia, no recuerdo otros trabajadores de allí que para nosotros fueron especiales pero sin duda, me llevo un gran recuerdo de todos ellos.
Gracias por hacer nuestra estancia en Anantara Veli un recuerdo inolvidable!

Muy recomendable
Todo un paraíso, con una gastronomía de buena calidad y diversa. Pero me quedo sobretodo con el buen trato recibido del personal, en concreto de Noa. Además cuenta con muchas actividades acuáticas, la mejor nadar con tiburones. Sin duda volveremos!!!

Tuvimos la oportunidad de hospedarnos en el Anatara Veli de Maldivas, un lugar donde ningún detalle es dejado al azar. Comenzando con la asistencia peranente de un mayordomo dedicado a coordinar todos nuestros deseos (muchas gracias Ali) hasta las más completas habitaciones con las mejores vistas. El nivel del servicio y la calidad de la cocina, simplemente increíbles. ( gracias Kamal, el mejor camarero del Dhigo Bar).
Tip adicional: la elección del Anantara no fue casual. Su ubicación permite llegar en bote rápido en lugar de hidro avión, pero se encuentra lo suficientemente

We had the opportunity to stay at the Anatara Veli in the Maldives, a place where no detail is left to chance. Starting with the permanent assistance of a butler dedicated to coordinating all our wishes (thank you very much Ali) to the most complete rooms with the best views. The level of service and the quality of the kitchen, just amazing. (thank you Kamal, the best waiter in the Dhigo Bar).
Additional tip: the choice of the Anantara was not accidental. Its location allows you to get there by fast boat instead of hydroplane, but it is far enough from Male to find and enjoy the wildest of the Indian Ocean. Sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage. Zuvorkommendes und stets freundliches Personal. Sehr saubere Zimmer. Super leckeres Essen in allen Restaurants. Wunderschöne Unterwasserwelt zum schnorcheln mit Korallen und Fischen inkl. Rochen, Haifisch und Schildkröte direkt vor dem Bungalow.

Une île magique, un staff attentionné, un calme apaisant et relaxant, venez découvrir sans tarder
Anantara est un paradis sur Terre. Vous y êtes accueillis chaleureusement dès l’aéroport et vous sentez que l’ensemble de l’équipe sera aux petits soins pour que votre séjour se déroule à merveille.
Nous avons eu la chance d’être pris en charge par Yasir qui a su nous accompagner tout au long du séjour, avec la plus grande réactivité et le maximum de professionnalisme, tout cela avec une grand gentillesse et douceur.
Compte tenu des péripéties vécues à Dubaï avant notre arrivée, nous n’avons pas pu être là lors de notre première journée ; Sham et Yasir nous ont proposé un surclassement afin de nous assurer un confort supplémentaire alors que l’hôtel n’était pour rien dans notre décalage de séjour.
Les restaurants, les petits déjeuner, les activités proposées, le barbecue sur la plage, l’accès aux 2 autres îles, la faune (héron, poissons, petits requins à pointe noire, tortues, oiseaux..), que de choses positives à dire.
Nous reviendrons, merci et n’hésitez pas à réserver ce lieu magique.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce petit coin de paradis. Dès notre arrivée nous avons été accueillis pas notre maître d’hôtel Yasir qui nous a choyés tout au long de notre séjour. Ayant des allergies alimentaires tout les restaurants ont été immédiatement avertis, un grand grand merci. Nous nous sommes régalés dans les différents restaurants, le service ainsi que tout le personnel sont très serviable, à l écoute, agréable et souriants. Nous ne pouvons que recommander cet endroit paradisiaque. Nous remercions Yasir et tout le staff pour toute l attention et la gentillesse qu’ils ont eu envers nous.

Delusa dal comportamento dello staff
Abbiamo soggiornato 5 notti in questo resort. Mare indiscutibilmente stupendo. È collegato ad un’isoletta, raggiungibile anche a nuoto, dove fare snorkeling.
Cibo buono, sono presenti diversi ristoranti inclusi e non.
Nel nostro pacchetto erano inclusi due drink da poter consumare presso il bar. Consumiamo i drink peccato che al momento del check out mi sono vista addebitare 50$ in più. Il mio compagno ha saldato il conto poiché, dando tatale fiducia, non ha controllato le varie spese. Solo una volta andati via, mi sono resa conto dell’addebito dei due drink che dovevano essere offerti, gliel’ho fatto presente e, dopo essersi scusati, mi hanno garantito il rimborso, ma non è mai arrivato. Ovviamente si tratta di una minima spesa che poco incide in una vacanza, ma non mi è mai capitata una tale mancanza di serietà e precisone neppure in guest house, per tale ragione sono rimasta decisamente delusa

wir haben eine woche hier verbracht und sind ab der gastfreundschaft, qualität, sauberkeit, herzlichkeit absolut verblüfft.
wir haben halbpension gebucht in dem wissen, dass die malediven teuer sind. die preise hier sind für uns def. am oberen limit.
einzig 'negativ' was under abendessen im origami. es war super lecker aber der preis für die portionengrösse eine absolute frechheit. Wir hatten mit vorspeise, hauptgang und dessert nach wie vor hunger

Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti dal nostro angelo custode Noah che si è presa cura di noi dal primo momento in cui siamo sbarcati sull’isola fino alla nostra partenza, preoccupandosi di noi e per noi in maniera quasi commovente: ha pensato lei a prenotarci i ristoranti per le nostre cene (tutti di qualità favolosa) ci ha prenotato un massaggio di coppia presso la loro SPA che si è dimostrata in esperienza magnifica, e con la complicità di un nostro amico ha organizzato per noi l’ultima sera una cena direttamente sulla spiaggia dentro una tenda tipica con uno chef ed un cameriere completamente a nostra disposizione… il tutto preceduto da un book fotografico in vari punti dell’atollo… Io e mia moglie ci siamo sentiti come dei Re!!!
Che dire se non grazie di tutto e ancora grazie alla splendida Noah.
Speriamo davvero di poterci rivedere presto perché i sogni, nella vita, non vanno vissuti una volta sola.

Una vacanza dinamica
Quarta volta alle Maldive, stavolta ho scelto questo Resort perché composto da 4 isole. Scelta azzeccatissima: non ci si annoia mai, c’è sempre uno scorcio da scoprire, una spiaggia da ammirare o un ristorante da provare (ne ha sette!). Sei rispettato ed accontentato sin da quando sbarchi (ti accolgono in una launge privata) fino a quando parti (ti accompagnano fino ai controlli); non lo fanno per semplice cortesia o per lavoro ma perché insito in tutti loro, è quasi imbarazzante l’estrema gentilezza semplice e naturale.
Ho trascorso qui sette giorni in occasione del mio 25o anniversario di matrimonio ed ho vissuto delle emozioni uniche ed intense.
Incredibile il fatto che non abbia mai avuto contatti con la reseption bensì solo con il cortese Alì che ha provveduto senza inutili formalità a tutto, perfino al pagamento ed al check out.
Perfino l’ottimo Direttore Sajith Grero è intervenuto subito a risolverci un piccolo problema.
Il costo? Non oltre le altre strutture di questo livello (altissimo!) anzi, in periodi fuori dal comune, si ottengono anche sconti.
Da andarci almeno una volta nella vita e da ritornarci!

PARADISE!
Il resort è stato recentemente ristrutturato conservando peraltro le caratteristiche originarie, salvo l’aggiunta di qualche ocean villa, che toglie un po’ di vista ad altre ville, e di alcune beach villa with pool.
I servizi sono stati implementati principalmente prevedendo un villa host e un servizio di golf car, mentre il ristorante 73 degrees non solo ha cambiato il proprio nome in Cumin ma ha anche eliminato la cena a buffet per lasciare spazio alla cucina maldiviana, indiana e singalese. Nel Dhoni Bar, dalle 20 alle 22, era attiva una dee jay.
Fatti questi brevi cenni di carattere meramente descrittivo, passiamo alla vera magia del Veli.
Innanzitutto c’è una laguna dai colori indescrivibili, tra le più spettacolari che abbiamo visto nell’arco di trent’anni di vacanze maldiviane. Inoltre, il Veli è collegato all’isola gemella Dighu (così come all’isolotto Gulifushi) da un confortevole barchino che fa continuamente la spola da un’isola all’altra, dando la possibilità di godere di prospettive e punti di balneazione sempre diversi.
Non una semplice cena ma una vera esperienza è poi la private dinner on the beach: avrete la possibilità di avere l’intera spiaggia a vostra disposizione dove consumare una cena (a noi è piaciuta molto quella a base di seafood con ostriche, tigerprawns e aragosta) cucinata e servita da uno chef e un cameriere a vostra completa disposizione. Davvero un must da non perdere!
Il villa host è un altro punto a favore in quanto permette di avere un unico punto di riferimento per qualsiasi esigenza e prenotazione di ristoranti e attività offerte dal resort. Noi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di avere Feruza come villa host, una persona estremamente professionale, simpatica ed empatica che ha avuto la capacità di immedesimarsi nelle nostre esigenze e di farci vivere una vacanza al top! Grazie Feruza, ti siamo tanto riconoscenti!
Siamo stati piuttosto delusi dal ristorante Baan Hura che, a nostro parere, è peggiorato da ogni punto di vista rispetto al passato, mentre abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato l’offerta del Cumin anche grazie ai preziosi consigli di Bockey e alle attenzioni di Logu e di Manik Raja, presenti a cena a anche a colazione.
Un particolare ringraziamento al resort manager Sajith Grero e al GM Michael Parker per la calorosa accoglienza e la capacità di ascoltare i nostri feed back.
