    When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. In these cases you will simply be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the booking, but without any charge. The sum will be taken from your credit card only in the cases provided for by the policies and conditions relating to your booking. In other cases, when the Partner does not adopt automatic availability and booking systems, but confirms reservations "manually", then you will be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the reservation, and then be directly charged at the same time as the Partner confirms the booking (within 24-48 hours).   • How do I know if my card has been pre-authorized?

My Overall Review of Double Tree Sharks Bay
This is an honest account of my time spent at the Double Tree by Hilton Sharks Bay where me and my girlfriend spent 11 nights from the middle of June onwards. I am not one to leave reviews so this is as honest as I can be. We arrived and were greeted on entrance, we checked in and were trolley carted to our room which was close to the hotels reception. Our room was on the bottom floor and had a little garden like entrance to the pool. Very ideal. The room itself was lovely, a huge bed and bathroom with a walk in shower and generally very tidy. The staff during our stay were extremely helpful. Mohammed, the blue shirt team leader behind the bar at the waves pool bar assisted us in every way we needed for drinks, we became friendly with his gent and he was very helpful during our time there. Khodeir Ismail, one of of the servants in the restaurant greeted us every single day with a smile and always made sure we had a table ready for us and topped our drinks up. We ended up tipping this gent for looking after us during our stay as he was excellent with his service. The cleaner also received a tip upon the end of our stay as he was also fantastic with his service. He left a different towel design each day making elephants, an octopus, love symbols and even a man made out of towels! He left our room spotless each day and was lovely to talk to. Overall, the resort is huge, the pools are beautiful and are cleaned regularly although we often found random floating bits in the pool which we asked to be cleaned and eventually was. The food is the one issue we had at this hotel. The food is very repetitive and is laid out in such a random order. There is no themed night at this hotel and the food is basically the same every single night baring a few slight tweaks. We understood that the culture is not like it is in the UK and that we would have to adjust to this but each person we spoke to also had the same complaints regarding the food. As this is an all you can eat, people were piling plates up so the constant refreshing of hot food could have been better but overall there’s enough choice to fill you up although the beef was often full of fat. In general, the food often left us with stomach problems but was nice enough. I suppose no matter where you travel you get these problems. The all inclusive drinks ends at 11pm which is not something detailed on any of the brochures. You are not allowed to be served alcohol until 11am which is again something not advertised but we did okay in that respect. I also used the gym equipment which was also very handy on site. Overall, we would give this hotel a 4.5/5 star rating. The hotel is currently undergoing a refurb and will need modernising in some areas soon. The location is very good and a 5 minute walk from soho square which is beautiful. We found ourselves eating out here a few times to change from the restaurant. I should also make a point that the hotel has 2 restaurants, one that is not included within the all inclusive. However, due to the amount of complains regarding the food and how busy the main restaurant was, for the Europeans, they opened up the other restaurant free of charge although there was nowhere near as much options but again, enough to feed you. We would go back to this hotel yes, but we wouldn’t rush to go back. We met some wonderful people out in Sharm who we will be friends with for some time and this holiday needed up being really good despite our early concerns.

Best and worst bits of Doubletree
Best bits - speedy check in, beautiful pools, staff are all friendly, room cleaner is amazing, super close to Soho Square, massage was amazing!!

Worst bits - food is very repetitive (we ate out for tea 4/7 nights), pool bar kept running out of vodka, entertainment was average

Excursions sold through the hotel are expensive - use Facebook groups/get you guide to get a rough idea of prices. (Always haggle)

Disappointing
We’ve recently come back from a 10 night stay here and we found the hotel to be clean and our room to look how it did in the pictures. The pool areas were well maintained and the adult only pool was very relaxing.

However, we felt that for an all inclusive holiday that we paid for did not feel all inclusive at all. The drink selections were poor if you do not drink alcohol and the food selection was very repetitive and it was difficult to find something we enjoyed eating unless we had paid for it (e.g. room service). Also meal times were made to be disappointing due to it being overcrowded. This hotel seemed to cater more towards Arab guests and the restaurant would always feel chaotic with children running wild and plates smashing and greedy guests filling plates up and touching the food with their hands. This was unless you went to the overflow restaurant in rustico where the atmosphere was better but they had less selection.

If you want late checkout we had to really demand it in the end as we kept being told to come back the next day to sort it out. It was the day before our checkout where they ended up saying no we cannot do this for you and they said come back the day of our checkout to see if they have availability which made absolutely no sense to come the morning of checkout day. In the end we had to really demand that we could get our late checkout due to being told numerous times that they can do it for us but then letting us down last minute.

The main positive from this stay was that particular staff were amazing. In particular in the restaurant there was a man called Khoideir who really took care of us. The cleaner we had was also amazing and always left our room spotless.

Overall our stay here was not what we expected for a Hilton hotel and although we had a few positives such as the staff and the pools, we were let down with all the negatives we found. All in all, for an all inclusive holiday it did not feel like we got value for money which was disappointing and we probably would not return to this hotel again.

This review is just for the spa
Currently staying here but only two days into the stay so feel it’s too early for a review of the overall facilities however this is for the Arnold spa. My intention was always to have some treatments on holiday as I usually do. I regularly get a massage at home and have spa days so there was no hard sell required. I have also previously had a full body scrub also and found it really beneficial for making my skin more receptive to absorbing sunscreen and getting a better tan. So I booked a package with a scrub and couple of massages at a very reasonable price. I had my scrub later that day with Nora which was Devine. She really is expert and knows what she is doing, you can tell immediately she is very experienced. My skin was so soft after it and I have experienced no burning in the sun ( despite being Scottish)
This morning I had the first of my booked massages and wow. Honestly I left feeling like I was walking on air. Again this was with Nora. I have a really heavy job at home and constantly have back ache , it’s literally gone. It’s the most relaxing massage I have ever had. She was really responds to the needs of your body and knows immediately what is required and where. Can’t wait for the next one. If you are here or coming out her I really recommend booking in at the Arnold spa. I’m glad I did.

Comfortable stay, low average IQ
This hotel was comfortable and convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the stay straight forward. The food was typical all inclusive, and quite repetitive, but it did the job.

Unfortunately the calibre of other patrons was disappointingly common.

Overall a reasonable experience, but perhaps an IQ test on arrival would ensure a calmer ambience.

Mucho nombre
Este hotel se quedó en los años 2000, como la gloria de los hoteles Hilton. Las instalaciones están bien mantenidas pero se las nota pasadas de época.

No se dejen engañar por el nombre de la marca, el hotel tiene poco de lujo. Las bebidas alcoholicas parte del paquete all inclusive son de dudosa calidad, no se usan marcas internacionales ni tampoco se ofrecen cocteles.

La comida es también un problema, la calidad es baja, todos los integrantes del grupo nos enfermamos. Las opciones occidentales son pocas y las bebidas se piden en un sector separado, sirviéndose calientes en vasos pequeños.

La playa y el coral al que tiene acceso la propiedad son maravillosos, y las piscinas son muy refrescantes! Las habitaciones son cómodas y hay muchas opciones de entretenimiento

Non consiglio per ubicazione diving center che merita di meglio.
Nonostante sia un resort molto bello e dove si mangia anche bene, c'è un grosso problema per quanto riguarda l'ubicazione del  diving center.
È molto distante dal mare e scomodo da raggiungere soprattutto con vestizione subacquea e attrezzature.
Non è possibile usufruirne in quanto troppa strada da fare sotto il sole cocente.
Fate attenzione a questa cosa e non consiglio di prenotare in questo hotel se avete intenzione di immergervi.
Piuttosto fatevi venire a prendere in altro hotel dal personale del diving ma non rischiate di trovarvi male al double tree Hilton come successo a me.

VACANZA MERAVIGLIOSA
Sono stata all’Hilton una settimana.
Mi sono trovata molto bene. La spiaggia bella è grande. Le camere grandi e spaziose e pulite. Le piscine sono grandi e una delle due con scivoli per tutti. Intrattenimento diurno top, ogni giorno i ragazzi dell animazione propongono sempre attività e anche l’intrattenimento serale fantastico. Ristorante grande con vario cibo.ci torneremo sicuramente!!!!

Bon hotel
Nous avons réservé cet hôtel par le biais d'une agence de voyage.
A l'arrivée, nous avons était rapidement pris en charge. Ils nous ont amenés les bagages directement à la chambre en voiturette.
Nous avions une chambre avec une magnifique vue sur la mer, qui était très spacieuse, service de nettoyage parfait.
L'hôtel est gigantesque, il y a 3 énormes piscines et 3 autres plus petites mais tout aussi bien avec transats et parasols. (petit + pour la piscine adulte only et les 3 toboggans)
Un bout de plage est privatisé avec toujours à disposition des transats et parasols. (mais espace plage trop petit et nous pouvions pas faire de balade le long de la plage car bloqué par les autres hôtels, espace aquatique délimité -> trop petit également). Par contre, il ne faut absolument pas oublier le masque et tuba car nous étions dans un aquarium géant.
Concernant la nourriture, elle est bonne, typique mais à notre gout trop répétitive. (chaque soir au choix : entrée crudités, plats de poissons, poulet, bœuf, riz, pates, frites, soupes, pain et desserts typiques).
Cependant en ayant une formule all inclusive, nous avons été très déçu par le service de boissons, il y a de nombreux bars certes (plage, réception, piscine) mais tout d'abord il n'y a pas de carte de boissons ni de cocktails, puis certains serveurs sont très désagréables (fume alors qu'on attend, font semblant de ne pas nous voir) et le service est souvent long (10min parfois pour être servi à la piscine).
De plus, l'ambiance des soirées le soir, n'était pas au rendez-vous.
Nous avons quand même passé un bon séjour mais cet hôtel ne mérite peut être pas 4 étoiles?

Séjour familial
Séjour parfait vraiment nous avons passez 1 semaine au hilton sharks bay double tree. Service impeccable en all inclusive à tout les niveaux. Un GRAND MERCI À à MIRIAM service relation clientèle en suite deluxe familial très souriante et très serviable qui n'hésite pas a vous appeler les premiers jours pour s'assurer que vous manquez de rien. Nous reviendrons au Hilton double tree car c'est l'hotel que nous avons beaucoup appréciés pendant notre séjour. A très bientôt MIRIAM et merci pour tout vraiment. Vous êtes superbe grâce à a vous nous avons passés un excellent séjour. Bonne continuation 👏👏🙏😊😊

Un séjour assez sympa
Nous avons séjourné du 26/07 au 03/08 dans cet hôtel.
La première nuit nous l'avons passé dans la partie non rénovée, (côté mer) croyez-nous ce fut un choc culturel et civilisationnel total, ( vacanciers
très bruyants et sans respect à n'importe quelle heure hélas) nous avons peu dormi, heureusement nous avons pu être transférées dans la partie "calme" et rénovée de l'hôtel dès le lendemain matin.
En effet l'hôtel est divisé en deux parties, car en cours de rénovation, mais si vous recherchez du calme, je vous conseille de demander à être logé dans la partie rénovée ( côté piscine).
Autre choc, au buffet, nous avons été choquées par le gaspillage alimentaire, il n'y a aucune pression sur les vacanciers afin de limiter les dégâts et c'est vraiment dommage car cela nuit à l'image de ce bel etablissement...
Dernier tips, les femmes, si vous voyagez entre femmes ou seules , attendez-vous à des regards lourds et très dénigrants, un conseil ne vous adressez à personne d'autres qu'au staff, de plus l'accueil à l'aéroport de Sharm est juste glacial, il y a encore des progrès à faire au niveau de l'accueil/l'hospitalité parce que ça craint de ne pas répondre à un simple "Hello sir" c'est quand même la BASE.
Bref expérience mitigée car c'est un endroit vraiment magnifique, mais les gens sont justes affreux et n'ont aucun respect ni savoir vivre (je parle des vacanciers locaux etc les français sont très rares ici, je ne parle pas du staff de l'hôtel qui eux étaient absolument adorables).
Un grand merci à Nesrine notre représentante sur place pour son écoute et son professionnalisme et au directeur de l'établissement pour sa réactivité malgré son emploi du temps chargé 🙏🙏🙏 grâce à vous nous avons passé un bon séjour, merci merci ♥️

Le point fort : accès à un spot juste sublime côté plage, pour le snorkeling, sans avoir besoin de plonger on peut déjà apercevoir la richesse de la faune sous marine c'est magnifique 😍😍😍

Le point faible : la plupart des égyptiens de Sharm ne parlent quasiment pas l'anglais, c'est soit du russe ou le dialecte égyptien qui est privilégié

Super Hotel, sehr hilfsbereite Rezeption, großartige Poolanlage. Eine herzliche, nicht aufdringliches Animationsteam mit Katrina, Mido, Lulu, Aid und Soud

Sehr gutes Essen 🥘 in den Restaurants Barracuda und Il Rustico. Houskeeping ist sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Jeden Abend gibt es abwechslungsreiche Liveshows.

Alternative gesucht, hier eine echte gefunden
Im Großen und Ganzen ein top Motel. Jederzeit und in allen Umfang zu empfehlen. Hierunter leichte Abstriche. Der Shuttle Bus könnte etwas regelmäßiger und noch mal besser fahren. Manchmal muss man etwas zu lange warten.

Das Catering beim Abendprogramm auf der großen Terrasse vor der Lobby Könnte ebenfalls etwas flüssiger gehen. Aber wie gesagt, wir haben eine Alternative zu unseren sonstigen Hotels gesucht, und hier eine adäquate Alternative gefunden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Das Buffet ist reichhaltig und sehr schmackhaft. Die Getränkeauswahl ebenfalls. Der Service und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter ist fast nicht zu übertreffen. Das Team vom Frontdesk ist mehr als hilfreich. Die Zimmer sind sauber und großzügig eingerichtet. Die Poolanlage bist sehr groß und in gutem Zustand und wird regelmäßig gepflegt und die Mitarbeiter an den Pools, ebenfalls an Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft

Fazit: wie schon oben erwähnt, für unser bisheriges Hotel sollte eine Alternative gefunden werden. Diese ist hier mehr als gegeben. Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder. Wir können dieses Hotel in schärfster Form empfehlen,

Wunderschöner Urlaub
Alles in allem war der Urlaub sehr schön. Die Anlage ist super gestaltet und auch der Strand hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Einzig und allein das Essen könnte besser sein, aber das ist auch wirklich das einzige Manko. Wir kommen sehr erholt wieder.

Para ser cadena Hilton....
Es un lugar bonito, y su mantenimiento en zonas comunes es buena y constante.
Los trabajadores son agradables, pero mínimo hay que hablar inglés para poder comunicarte, porque no sabe nadie español.
La comida del Buffett está bien y con variedad, pero para unos días, si no, se te hace pesado.

En cuanto a la playa, es un lugar pequeño, con mucha piedra, pero el agua en maravillosa y con mucha vida marina para hacer snorkel.

Ban plastic cups and plastic straws
Pasamos dos noches en el hotel, todo muy agradable, el reef es maravilloso, espero que sepan cuidarlo y mantenerlo.
El resort es un sin sentido desde el punto de visa de la sostenibilidad. 4 piscinas enormes y jardines en una zona desertica....producen montañas de basura solamente con las pajitas, las botellas y los vasos de plastico...y que decir de toda la comida que tiran en el buffet....
Un pequeño paso seria, dar pajitas solo cuando lo pidan, pasarse al sistema de refill de botellas de agua y vasos reutilizables.

Como todo Hilton
Fui en enero de 2016, el hotel está un poquito alejado de naama bay pero al frente del aeropuerto, esta un complejo de villas que tiene su playa privada, si contratas el servicio all inclusive te vas a cansar de comer todo el día jajaja, variada y muy sabrosa comida, el desayuno super completo, lo único que es de baja calidad es la barra de tragos ( lo cual es entendible al estar prohibido el alcohol en egipto) la atención no es ni muy afectuosa ni muy fría, salvo la gente que hacen el aseo de las habitaciones que son SUPER AMABLES Y HONESTOS, para nosotros este hotel fue para descansar de todo el itinerario que veníamos haciendo en Egipto , muy recomendable

BUENO
Hotel limpio, nada lujoso para ser un Hilton pero la atención, la comida buena, el servicio de spa con valores accesibles, servicio de transporte a la playa, un buen hotel de playa como para descanzar
