The identification proofs accepted are Aadhar Card, Drivers License, Voters Card, Passport, Ration Card. Without valid ID the guest will not be allowed to check in. - The primary guest checking in to the hotel must be at least 18 years of age. Children accompanying adults must be between 1-10 years. - The inclusion of extra bed with a booking is facilitated with a folding cot or a mattress as an extra bed. - Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel. - The standard check-in time is 1 PM and the standard check-out time is 11 AM. After booking you will be sent an email confirmation with hotel phone number. You can contact the hotel directly for early check-in or late check-out.

Prior to 15 days of check-in date, no cancellation charges will be levied. 2. 15 days to 3 days of prior to check-in date, a cancellation charge of the amount of 15% of total booking will be charged. 3. Guest house at the price of a hotel - Dirty filthy hotel , good location
So this hotel is running bcoz of the location - which is excellent as it overlooks the ganges.
Besides that nothing seems to be working for it: It is a Guest House at the price of a hotel.
1. The hotel is "DIRTY" & RUN DOWN- its a heritage property ( so to speak) however
a. Filthy stair case ( as if they have not been cleaned for years),
b. Stinky halls on ground floor ,
c. Cob webs in the rooms ,
d. Our bathroom room door was creaking and broken on the back.
e. The fans were dirty as how .
The hotel is an old palace - BUT that does'nt mean it that the upkeep can be dirty!
2. Incase you have done the booking by AGODA - they don't want to entertain such guests - the front office manager told us that point blank. Rather they really got after us to leave the room at 11 am .. so if u have a later train to catch donot expect an extension of time. There 's not even a decent reception to sit and wait in this case.
3. OLDER Citizens - this hotel has steep stairs and a number of them as all the rooms are on different levels .. hence if you have bad knees - pls stay away . Additionally , you need to walk for 500 mrs from the road to reach the hotel
The ghats are also located approx 30 - 40 steps down.
4. BREAKFAST - very average food.
5. COST EFFECTIVENESS - it is a HUGELY OVERPRICED property - with a number of different rooms - which you will never know which is which!! and then the POOR upkeep and MEDIOCRE breakfast.
6. STAFF - Overall the staff which is working is cordial and helpful.
NOTE - we absolutely love the location, BUT !

Peace amongst chaos
Don’t expect a palace. It’s a heritage property converted into a safe, clean hotel with great service and very helpful staff. The rooftop restaurant is an absolute delight. They served fresh food with amazing views of the river, customised for my food allergies.
For check-in and check-out you’ll need help to be guided through the narrow lanes on foot. Once you’re checked-in the access to boat rides, ghats, and Kashi Vishwanath Mandir is superb - all walkable.
The staircase is steep for ailing or older people with knee problems. There is no lift. The staff was kind to provide local guidance. They also provide lots of tour options.
As a female solo traveler, safety for my primary concern but they took very good care of that. I felt completely safe and secure. Of course, one must maintain decorum according to the sanctity of the city and its culture.
They don’t have parking space but there is a public parking space a few mins away if needed.

Some good, some bad
So, a palace this is not. Let's start with the negatives. It's hard to contact the hotel as they currently have no web site and their email addresses have been "suspended". Not sure what that means exactly. It's hard to find and you have to walk the last 250m through narrow lines stepping over dog and cow poo. It's not particularly modern and the facilities are basic.
On the plus side, if you get a balcony room there is simply the best view ever over the Ganges and all the activities on the Ghats. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food in the top floor restaurant is very good. Just be careful of the monkeys if you eat outdoors. The beds are comfortable and there is hot water available. There are steep steps straight down to the river, and the location cannot be beaten.
If you want 5, 4 or 3 star luxury this is not the place for you. If you want to experience Varanasi and all that entails this is a super place. This is our 2nd time here, so you can tell which camp we fall into.
