Gets a little better with each visit but still needs a couple of things addressed
Just returned from a fabulous week at Es Moli. It was our third visit and the best so far. This is because each time we stay at least one floor higher than the previous visit lol. I'll come to that in a bit.
Firstly reception has been mentioned and I have to slightly concur. It's like the staff at reception are from a different hotel. They don't smile, rarely acknowledge you and seem in their own world (Bea is an exception and I think she's been there a while as she seemed familiar). The only mistakes that happened whilst we were there were made by reception. They gave wrong advice about air-con and got our first restaurant reservation wrong so by the time it was finally worked out (reception had got our room number wrong) we were late and had to rush. All the other staff are exceptional and go a great job.
What has improved is the bar area since last visit and es jardi which is very pretty outside (weather permitting). Also the lunch menu is bigger and better which was great as it wasn't as repetitive as before. Food at lunch and both dinner locations was very good. What wasn't great is the hot food at breakfast is cold by the time most people visit. I appreciate there probably isn't a way round this as the hotel isn't big enough to warrant cooking several rounds of hot food. The downside of this is if you don't want freezing eggs, bacon, sausages etc. You have to get up very early or go to the omelette stand and have an omelette which can get a bit repetitive (you can also get poached eggs here).
There are only two small problems to sort which would make this hotel perfect.

1) The noise.. There is a constant noise of furniture being dragged around. I could not work out why anybody needs to move their chairs etc this much but I came to the conclusion that it was mostly the cleaners who are still very noisy first thing and seem to be very busy working most of the day rather than just first thing.. I get they have to do their job but unless you are on the 5th floor (we were 4th) you are gonna hear noise above you (and probably either side). I have yet to stay in the outhouses so don't know if they are the same..

2) The pool.. The hotel has 87 rooms and there is probably 25-ish sun loungers around the pool. A small but consistent majority of older guests would reserve these loungers with their towels (and John Grishams' and Patricia Cornwell's) around 10am and then disappear sometimes til after 3pm (After lunch and a nap?). Most of the time over the week of my stay there were more reserved unoccupied loungers than people using them. The hotel really needs to try and crack down on this as it really isn't fair. I'm not sure how.. (I did see the lifeguard remove a couple of towels once and I thought hmmm so you can do it. I appreciate this is hard to police and there are more than enough other loungers in the garden etc. I just wish people wouldn't be so selfish.

My most favourite thing about staying here are the regulars. There are plenty of people here (mainly over 60) who return year after year and greet each other so warmly and dine together etc.. Many friendships have been made here and it is lovely to see. I've very happy to say the English are the nicest and (mostly!) the most considerate guests here.

Special hello to the man with the beard sketching outside Es jardin and his wife and John with his entertaining banter and bar tricks at the 'extended' lunches. We do love it here very much and will be back soon.

Special mention to Antonio behind the bar who was great.

A half an hour and 50 Euro taxi ride from the airport found us at Es Moli again. We returned after a two year break. We love the laid-back vibe here , it feels like a house . Some chain hotels are soulless. The staff on the whole were brilliant. We noticed a few new staff and they weren't as accomplished as the older members of staff. We ate in Es Jardi and first had a cocktail made by the incredibly hard-working Antonio who, on a couple of mornings, was also present for the breakfast service, so I'm assuming they can't get staff. A few minor grumbles about Es Jardi. I booked ahead by email a week in advance but when we arrived no booking at the restaurant, the head waiter very begrudgingly found us a table and wasn't until I produced the email he lightened up a little. Another .member of staff didn't know the cocktail of the week, and the broth poured over the main course. It was so hurriedly poured that it splashed everywhere, narrowly missing my wife's skirt. First World problems, but considering the amount of money the dinner costs, I would expect better. The breakfast and poolside lunch menus were excellent. The extractor in the bathroom never worked, so I made everything wet. nether did the electrical socket nearest the window, and I thought maybe the cleaners might have snagged them. I'm sure they have been fixed by now. Despite the meal at Es Jardi, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return for longer next year. Oh, Muleta is incredible

The wonderful Es Moli Hotel
Returning every couple of years to this gem of a hotel is always memorable.
The grounds are immaculately looked after by an army of knowledgeable gardeners.
The pool is just marvellous, fed from the mountain fresh water streams.
Despite some previous comments, all the staff, including the reception are friendly and efficient
Breakfast on the terrace facing Deià is treat, fresh orange juice and an array of hot and cold buffet is excellent
On the not so good is
Entertainment should be more than one act per week
I am not convinced that the new lounge and bar layout works, we much preferred the previous open plan lounge and the wonderful antique mahogany bar.
The Costas Authorities restriction to Mulleta sun-beds lower down from the first tier just ruins the experience as the sun does not reach these locations until early afternoon. Although I’m not sure what Es Molí can do about this ridiculous local government rule, as it’s the same in other parts of Mallorca.

ARE RECEPTION STAFF TRAINED TO BE THIS BAD
We have been going to Es Moli on and off for over 25 years but our experience gets more disappointing with each visit and I think this will be our last. The setting is really nice albeit 10 minutes walk from the village. It’s has been updated but some of the rooms are small despite being rated as the best. The real problem though is the staff. You would think they train the reception team to be rude as you get little change whatever the day or weather. The more experienced ones are the worst. The traveller ranking rarely lies so don’t expect a happy hotel. The biggest smile we ever get is from Raphael, who has always operated at a different level and the housekeeping team and that says it all. Why doesn’t the General Manager change the team and get the hotel into the top 20?

What a gem!
What a fabulous hotel this is! Set on the hillside, the views are stunning. Our balcony looked out over the grounds as far as the sea. Breakfast is served on a terrace overlooking beautiful Deia with plenty of fruits, cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon and a variety of lovely breads and pastries. Eggs are cooked to order at an omelette bar. Hot food is available, but not quite as hot as one would like. Never mind, the cold offerings are fantastic! Service is very good. We dined at the Tapas Bar - same location - twice, excellent food and service.
Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and with plenty of hanging and drawer space The only problem we found was that there was only one accessible power point and that was in the bathroom. Others required a bit of furniture moving! Milk is not provided but appeared within a few minutes when requested.
The swimming pool is fabulous - and what a glorious backdrop it has! There isn't much space for sun loungers and they were all occupied by the time we got there in the afternoons but there are a few tables and chairs to sit at.
I seriously recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quality hotel in stunningly beautiful surroundings.

Hotel mágico
Estuvimos cenando ayer en el restaurante el jardín de este maravilloso hotel un lugar muy bonito con muy buen servicio, luego había un concierto de jazz del trío Daniel Roth en el bar piscina y la experiencia fue fantástica, la única decepción fue un camarero de bar piscina que era muy escandaloso... Etc etc y los asistentes no paraban de girarse molestos con el, la verdad fue una pena porque la noche hubiera sido de 10. No recuerdo su nombre bien era rubio.

Perfekte Auszeit
Anfang Mai war ich zum zweiten Mal mit meiner Tochter für ein paar Tage im Es Moli. Es war noch schöner als im Oktober, weil der Garten in Blüte stand. Ich liebe Rosen und überall gab es herrliche Exemplare zu bewundern. Der Garen duftete paradiesisch nach den Aromen des Mittelmeers.
wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und zu unserem Zimmer in der Dependance gefahren. Von unserem Zimmer aus gab es einen tollen Blick auf den Pool and das Tramuntanagebirge. Das Nebengebäude ist über viele Stufen zu erreichen, was für uns aber kein Problem war. Wir haben es eher als kleine sportliche Einlage empfunden.
Das Frühstück gab es wieder in Buffetform, wobei Kaffee oder Tee am Tisch serviert werden. Wir waren begeistert von der Auswahl und auch der äußerst appetitlichen Darbietung. Die köstlichen Omelettes werden nach den Wünschen der Gäste zubereitet, auch die kleinen Gebäckstücke waren sehr lecker.
Nach einem etwas 10-minütigen Spaziergang erreicht man den malerischen Ort Deia. Wir haben dort in mehreren Restaurants sehr lecker gegessen, allerdings kann nichts mit dem Restaurant des Es Moli mithalten. Die Qualität ist einfach hervorragend und der Service passt. Auch auf der Terrasse der Tapas Bar kann man hervorragend speisen und den herrlichen Blick genießen.
Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder.

Traumhaft schön
Meine Tochter und ich haben Ende Oktober 5 Tage im Es Moli verbracht und waren begeistert. Einfach alles hat super gepasst....angefangen vom wirklich freundlichen Check-in, der fand auf Englisch statt. Jedoch sprechen auch viele Mitarbeiter hervorragend Deutsch und tun das auch sehr gerne.
Unser kleines Leihauto konnten wir kostenfrei auf dem hoteleigenen Parkplatz abstellen.
Wir hatten ein relativ kleines, aber sehr geschmackvolles und gemütliches Zimmer mit seitlichem Meerblick und herrlichen Palmen vor dem Fenster. Das Bad war super.
Das Frühstück haben wir ebenfalls sehr genossen.....Orangensaft, ein täglich wechselnder Detox, Mineralwasser und Kaffee, dazu verschiedene Brot- und Gebäcksorten, Wurst- und Käseplatten, Obst, Joghurt, frisches Porridge und diverse Müslisorten.....ebenfalls sehr freundlich serviert.
Wir haben zweimal im Hotel zu Abend gegessen und an den restlichen Tagen in Deia.....ich fand das Essen im Hotel am Besten. Einmal hatten wir Fisch...uns wurde ein ganzer Fisch serviert und am Tisch perfekt und professionell entgrätet und serviert...super. Aber es gibt auch preisgünstige Salate und Pizza, ebenfalls sehr lecker.
Mein persönliches Highlight war der tolle Pool...auch im Oktober noch angenehm temperiert und einfach herrlich zum Schwimmen.
Die hoteleigene Badebucht ist magisch....ein wunderschöner Kraftort.
Ich vermisse das Es Moli jetzt schon und möchte auf jeden Fall 2022 wiederkommen

Finca-Hotel mit genialer Aussicht
Hotel steht etwas unterhalb des Dorfes am Hang mit wunderbarer Aussicht. Schöner Garten mit verschieden Zitrusfrüchten (Zitronen/Limetten), Granatäpfel, Dattelpalmen oder Olivenbäumen. Der grosse Pool läd zum schwimmen vor der Bergkulisse ein. Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wer gerne wandert und die bergige Landschaft mag ist im Es Moli super aufgehoben und das Hotel kann ich mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen.

Insgesamt leider enttäuschendes Hotel
Das Zimmer war sehr schön, auch sehr sauber und hatte ein gemütliches und gepflegtes Ambiente. Auch das Restaurant war hell und eher für gehobene Ansprüche gestaltet. Allerdings nutzt das nichts, wenn das Zimmer über der Frühstücksterrasse liegt, wo bis kurz vor Mitternacht das Küchenpersonal arbeitet und ab morgens 6.30 Uhr die Stühle vor- und zurückgeschoben werden. Das Frühstück ist coronabedingt (wobei nur in diesem Hotel, in allen anderen war während des Urlaubs normales Buffet) anders als sonst; man füllt ein Formular aus und hängt dieses an die Zimmertür. Ja, es steht extra drauf, dass man Nachschlag bekommen kann, aber wenn schon die formulierten Wünsche nicht beachtet werden, dann fängt der Tag nicht gut an. Ich hatte Vollkornbrötchen und Avocado angegeben, dafür den Blauschimmelkäse durchgestrichen. Nichts; normale Brötchen, winzige Scheibchen 2er Käsesorten, 2 kleine Stückchen Briekäse und ein kleines Dreieck Blauschimmelkäse , alles dekoriert mit 4 Würfeln Gelee und 5 Weintrauben. Ich war ziemlich verblüfft. Ein Frühstück in einem solchen Hotel sollte nicht so sein. Zum Abendessen am Abend vor dem Frühstücksreinfall war der Service sehr freundlich und höflich; der Salat mit Tofu war, nun ja, ohne Raffinesse. Der Gruß aus der Küche und auch der kleine Nachtisch waren hingegen lecker. Zu diesem bestellte ich mir einen Cafe Americano. Dafür wurde mir 3,50€ berechnet. Happig für eine Tasse. Alles in allem fühlte ich mich in diesem Hotel, auf welches ich mich sehr gefreut hatte, nicht wohl und bin nach der ersten Nacht abgereist. Bemerken möchte ich noch, dass schon das Einchecken überraschend war: die Dame an der Rezeption sprach englisch mit mir, obwohl sie vorher mit anderen Gästen deutsch gesprochen und gesehen hat (anhand meines Ausweises) , dass ich aus Deutschland komme. Als ich sie bat, mit mir auch deutsch zu sprechen, erwiderte sie tatsächlich "Ja, mach ich das auch noch. Mir bleibt wohl nix anderes übrig!" Ich fragte sie dann später, ob sie Kopfschmerzen hätte, denn wenn man sich nicht wohlfühlt, dann kann es schon einmal vorkommen, dass man sich anders verhält als an guten Tagen. Aufgrund der Vertraulichkeit des weiteren Gesprächsverlaufs gehe ich nicht auf Details ein; es scheint jedoch eher kein Ausrutscher gewesen zu sein. Es ist keinesfalls so, dass ich im Ausland erwarte, dass mit mir deutsch gesprochen wird. Dieses Hotel kommuniziert per Mail auf deutsch und betreibt eine Homepage, wo auch eine deutsche Ansprache und Vorstellung erfolgt. Ich bin also davon ausgegangen, dass dort deutsch gesprochen wird. Dem war nicht so; nur beim Einchecken und ab dann auf englisch. Wer gut englisch kann, für den ist dass sicher kein Problem. Ich kann diese Sprache nur rudimentär und suche mir deshalb Hotels aus, wo ich weiß, dass ich mich verständigen kann oder ich nehme eine Begleitung mit, die auch auf englisch kommuniziert. Obwohl ich nur eine Nacht da war, wurde die Tourismusabgabe für 4 Nächte berechnet. Alles in allem sehr enttäuschend und bislang der größte Fehlgriff bei der Buchung von Fincas und/oder Hotels auf Mallorca.

Alle unsere Leistungen, insbesondere beim Frühstück, das besonders belebt ist, sind an die aktuelle Situation angepasst, damit die Sicherheit aller Gäste und Mitarbeiter gewährleistet ist. Während der ganzen Saison war dies unser Hauptziel. Sowohl unsere Gäste als auch unsere Mitarbeiter müssen sich sicher fühlen.

Einige unserer Mitarbeiter sprechen Deutsch. Im übrigen haben wir viele Gäste ganz verschiedener Nationalitäten und in den seltensten Fällen war das Nicht-Beherrschen einer Sprache ein unüberwindbares Problem, das den Aufenthalt, auch wenn er noch so kurz war, beeinträchtigt hätte.

Selbstverständlich ist auch bei uns nicht immer alles perfekt, aber wir hätten Sie gern von der Qualität unseres Hotels und unserem guten Service überzeugt. Wir hätten auch gern versucht, Ihnen je nach Verfügbarkeit ein anderes Zimmer zu geben. Insofern ist es sehr schade, dass Sie so schnell wieder abgereist sind und uns keine Gelegenheit gegeben haben, Sie von dem hohen Standard unseres Hotels zu überzeugen.

Buen sitio para comer, relación calidad/precio inmejorable
Entorno precioso, comida muy correcta, precios ajustados, servicio profesional y amable. Recomendable totalmente. Comer cerca de la piscina es un lujazo. La única pega que se me ocurre es el parking, realmente justo, pero el conjunto merece la pena.

Pour un séjour agréable en famille
Une belle surprise, un hôtel familial et calme dans un jardin luxuriant. Le personnel est très agréable et les hôtes peuvent profiter d’une plage privée exceptionnelle, avec une vue à couper le souffle. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel plein de charme !

Vale la pena, porque además hay muchas actividades para hacer alrededor del hotel.
Después de un tiempo largo,retomo mis escritos en esta web.
El hotel Es Moli està situado en una ladera de montaña antes de llegar al pueblo de Deià. Inmejorables vistas.
A destacar su restauración que se merece un 10,tanto en cena como en el bar de la piscina. Nunca había comido tan bien en un snack de hotel. Comida recién hecha y original.
Instalaciones bien cuidadas. Tiene una parte de habitaciones no reformadas ,pero a pesar de ello son muy agradables.
Personal muy eficiente y agradable. En la cena en la terraza , tuvimos una plaga de mosquitos y lo resolvieron con total celeridad. Nos ubicaron en el interior,contando en todo el momento con las normas Covid.
La piscina , enorme,tal vez le falta zona para hamacas, pero las tienen repartidas por los diferentes zonas ajardinadas.
Traslado privado a una calita donde hay tambien snack para comer.
La recepción necesita una reforma,pero es lo de menos.
Lo único que no me gustó, el pago por adelantado sin derecho a devolución ,pese al covid. Te guardan la reserva para otras.fechas. A pesar de esto,creo que dá mala imagen.
Totalmente recomendable.

Extraordinaria experiencia
Excelente habitación con impresionante terraza dando al valle y con vistas al mar. Es un autentico vergel de árboles y flores; trato educado y familiar que se agradece. Es Molí será nuestro hotel para escapadas a Deiá (no os perdáis la cala privada que el hotel tiene a unos minutos!).

Beau et paisible
Bel hôtel à flanc de colline, d'architecture traditionnelle.
Un remerciement particulier pour le personnel très accueillant et serviable.
Nous étions malheureusement parmi leurs derniers clients de la saison.
Belle terrasse avec superbe vue sur la baie.
Piscine magnifique (un peu froide), nombreux transats.
Crique privative de toute beauté à 7 km.
Procédures Covid respectées et astucieuses (choix la veille au soir du petit déjeuner du lendemain. Tous services à table.
Chambre dans la partie refaite, près de la piscine.
Pas très grande mais avec un beau balcon ouvragé et suffisamment bien équipée. Literie juste un peu fatiguée. Calme et bonne isolation.
Repas du soir gastronomique et copieux, beaucoup de choix.
Petit déjeuner très copieux.
Une adresse à recommander à Deia pour un séjour reposant tout confort, nombreuses possibilités de randonnées dans les environs.

Un dépaysement total
Un problème de chambre au départ mais le séjour fut extrêmement agréable. La piscine était magnifique, le personnel au petit soin et le petit déjeuner était une merveille. Gros point fort pour la crique privatisée qui était somptueuse.
(les cuisines de l’hôtel ferme un peu tôt pour les gens qui mangent tardivement)

Superbe
Cet hôtel est situé dans un environnement de toute beauté. Le village de Deia niché au cœur de la merveilleuse sierra de Tramuntana est en soit un must pour les esthètes et pour tous ceux qui fuient le tourisme de masse ( bien que ces dernières années il devienne de plus en plus compliqué de trouver un endroit loin des sentiers battus !!!). Quant à l’hotel Nous l’avons beaucoup aimé, la chambre très belle, la réception tres serviable et sympathique, le « pot d’accueil », tout était au rendez-vous pour se sentir bien.
C’est un lieu agréable au plus haut point : des jardins magnifiques, la piscine offrant des vues majestueuses quelle que soit l’heure de la journée, la terrasse du petit déjeuner idem... et que dire du petit déjeuner ... somptueux..
Nous avons tout aimé.. et encore plus la nature qui domine tout tant elle est superbe.

Vacanza perfetta
Soggiorno Meraviglioso in un ottima struttura, mi è piaciuto tutto. Personale gentilissimo in tutti i settori, alla reception, ai ristoranti, al bar, le signore che si occupano delle camere, i giardinieri .....
Stupenda posizione panoramica.
La colazione uno spettacolo sia per la bellissima terrazza che per l'offerta di ogni genere alimentare. Bella e grande la piscina con tutti i confort. Bella la camera anche se l'abbiamo presa nella depandance e per raggiungerla
dovevamo fare tante scale.
Buona anche la proposta dei ristoranti. Molto bella anche la località Deia comoda da raggiungere a piedi .

Magnifique
Un très bel hôtel avec un service irréprochable. Piscine magnifique chauffée, un peu froide néanmoins en avril. Nous avions pris une demi-pension, les repas étaient délicieux gastronomiques et les petits-déjeuners somptueux. Hôtel situé dans la montagne dans un cadre splendide.

Meraviglioso hotel. Vicino alla perfezione!
E' la nostra 4a volta a Deia e la prima volta ad Es Moli. Bel posto; delizioso bar; stupendo staff (solo una impiegata non e' stata molto gentile al check-out ed era un po' stanca). Cibo fantastico. Ottima piscina. Le cose che distinguono questo hotel, pero', sono i dettagli: i francobolli gia' messi sulle cartoline offerte dalla struttura, semplice ma ottimo. Il mio compleanno cadeva durante il mio soggiorno, che era un tristissimo giorno di pioggia, ma al mio risveglio ho trovato un biglietto di compleanno, dei fiori e cava fuori dalla mia camera. Ero cooosi' felice. La nostra camera era bellissima. Qualsiasi
problema (rumore o tv) e' stato risolto molto rapidamente. Se, come me, anche voi odiate le nuvole (e a Deia ne trovate tante), non esitate a prendere un bus e andate alla baia: e' veramente bello, fantastico se vi piace l'immersione sott'acqua, ed il ristorante li' e' molto carino; siete a soli 20 minuti e non c'e' una nuvola. Il solo problema di questo hotel e' l'assenza di isolamento acustico: le pareti sono cosi' sottili che potete sentire un bimbo rumoroso a poche camere di distanza. Anche per i bagni il problema e' lo stesso, ma non e' poi cosi' grave. Il materasso era di gommapiuma e si affondava nella parte centrale. Penso si possano usare materassi migliori...queste sono cose che possono essere migliorate se vi e' possibile. Non ci tornerei durante le vacanze scolastiche (errore mio!). E' proprio tipico di questo hotel: i genitori di questi ragazzi, a Dea, sono un po' troppo permissivi e consentono loro di fare un gran rumore in piscina. Deia e' tuttavia la mia destinazione preferita in Europa. Desidero solo che quelle uggiose nuvole basse se ne vadano!
