FAQ Frequently Asked Questions
  • Why choose Metour.it as your reliable online travel agency?
Metour.it is committed to offering travelers authentic and unforgettable experiences. As a leading trusted online travel agency, we stand out for our dedication to quality, safety and customer satisfaction. Every destination, package and service offered has been carefully selected to ensure an unparalleled travel experience. Furthermore, our expert team is always on hand to assist you at every stage of your journey, ensuring that every detail is taken care of to perfection.
  • Are the prices always the same even if the date changes?
Prices vary based on various factors which may be seasonal, day of the week, occupancy status of the hotel, promotions, particular fairs in the city and more. The advice, to see the prices, is to enter the dates of your stay and make your own comparisons.
  • Is breakfast always included?
No, it depends on the rate and whether the structure is organized to offer it or not. Check carefully before booking what is included and what is not and what type of service is offered.
  • Can I make special requests?
Of course, when booking you will have a field where you can write directly to the property and make your requests. These will be evaluated by the Hotel who will respond directly to you. MeTour is not responsible in this decision-making process.
  • What types of beds will I find in the room I booked?
The type of bed is usually specified in the room sheet. If you have any special requests or needs you can indicate them at the time of booking by writing them in the "special requests" field which will be forwarded directly to the property. In this process MeTour is not responsible.
  • What is Paga in Structural and what are Payment Pre-Authorisations?
When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. In these cases you will simply be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the booking, but without any charge. The sum will be taken from your credit card only in the cases provided for by the policies and conditions relating to your booking. In other cases, when the Partner does not adopt automatic availability and booking systems, but confirms reservations "manually", then you will be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the reservation, and then be directly charged at the same time as the Partner confirms the booking (within 24-48 hours). At that moment you will receive an email with the booking confirmation and payment.
  • How do I know if my card has been pre-authorized?
By consulting your credit card balance you will see that your available balance will be temporarily reduced by the amount of your booking. In other cases and depending on the policy of your credit card circuit, you may also find an entry in the monthly summary of card movements: "pending operation". The pre-authorization block, depending on the situation, will be maintained according to the policies and terms and conditions of what has been booked.
  • How can I cancel or change my booking?
Easy, enter the customer area with your credentials and from there you can modify or cancel your booking. Remember that changing dates or canceling with a refund request depends on the rate you chose when booking.
  • Can I transfer my reservation to another person?
For this request, contact the property directly which may have a specific policy in this regard or may need further data on the person to whom you want to transfer the booking.
  • How can I get help with my booking?
Enter the customer area with your credentials and from there you can contact us or by writing through our contact form specifying your booking number and the reason for the contact request. We recommend that you also leave a telephone number where you can be reached in case of need.
  • Are there taxes, local charges or extras to be paid directly on site?
They are normally clearly indicated in the property sheet or added during the booking phase depending on local regulations or the facility's policies. But even if not clearly indicated, payments may be requested directly to the facility for any tourist taxes, local charges or extras not included in the rate. The advice is to read everything carefully before booking or writing to us through our contact form.
  • Are small pets allowed?
It is often clearly stated in the property sheet and for this reason we invite you to carefully read their policies. Where not indicated, we invite you to contact us through our contact form for more information.

  • What are TripAdvisor reviews?
TripAdvisor reviews on MeTour.it are ratings and comments imported directly from TripAdvisor for each hotel, B&B, resort, campsite, accommodation, restaurant and museum activity you find on our site. They include an overall rating of up to 5 points, the total number of reviews, and detailed ratings for specific categories such as rooms, location, cleanliness, sleep quality, service and value for money. We also show the latest 5 reviews left by travelers on TripAdvisor. This data is automatically updated and is provided to help our users make informed choices. MeTour.it does not edit these reviews and takes no responsibility for their accuracy.

  • How are MeTour.it proposals linked to TripAdvisor reviews? What happens if there are errors in connections with TripAdvisor?

Much better than last night when we visited
Had to ask server named Marta to consult a manager to tell us what their definition of rare vs medium rare meant. Manager explained we could always ask for most rare and subsequently ask it to be cooked more. The two appetizers we ordered were wonderful — roasted beets and duck rillette. Lamb sirloin was overcooked but tender. Veal ribeye was very good but tough for veal. Tasted like a well-prepared pork hip but very good. We came here the prior night and ordered lamb charcuterie (Just don’t — awful!), torched cod (good fish but poor voice of sauce pairings), and arctic char ( way beneath what a family restaurant in Reykjavík served).

Nice place, friendly staff, méh food.
I booked a table for me and 5 other friends and our table was ready at arrival :)
Service is nice and staff very friendly. The problem was the food that night. Feb 18th. I don't know if they changed the chef that day because the food was not good while the reviews said they were amazing.
We order the cheese and was good (no secret on that). The fish soup was extremely salty. We complained but had to pay them anyway.
The smoked carpaccio tasted like I was licking an ashtray. My friend was able to eat it all lol
and finally my main dish was beautifully presented but my cod tasted like nothing, no spices, no salt. But since I was hungry and there is no other restaurant around...ate everything.

Cibo misero e super costoso

Great cocktails and tasty food in a fun space
Great restaurant! Had fun cocktails before dinner and then enjoyed the awesome food. Smoked sheep carpaccio was wonderful, as was the cod. My girlfriend had soup and lamb, both terrific. Fun space, too.

Great evening
Really great dining experience. Sat in the window, delightful evening. Superbly helpful Konstantinos. Tasting menu dreamfeast very enjoyable. All the soups and carpaccio dishes were yummy. Nicely presented. Completed with Birch snaps and liquer. Did get a bit slow in the middle and some dishes over complicated but very pleasantly surprised.

Best meal we had in Iceland!
We were not staying at the hotel but came for a ‘special’ dinner for our last night in Iceland. Everything we ordered was interesting and excellent. Top hits were the seafood soup, the smoked sheep carpaccio, the attic char and best of all the delicious steak. My whiskey cocktail hit the spot. Many have commented on the high prices, but we thought it was very reasonable given the quality and the location. Service was excellent, including handling my son’s allergy. If you are in the mood for a fancy dinner, don’t miss this place.

A éviter

Traum- Essen in toller Location!
Sehr sehr gutes Essen in schöner Location. Sehr sehr lecker!

Tutto molto buono
Ambiente accogliente e piacevole , personale preparato e buon servizio .

Salty doesn’t mean tasty...
In totale abbiamo speso €60

Dear Veloricios

Thank yo for taking the time to write us a review. I do think your review should be placed at the hotel review page, not he restaurant one, but I will try to explain a few things.

We have fridge in the room, we do not have minibars in the rooms, and we have never offered that. We have a reception open 24/7 and from there it is possible to buy light bites, sandwiches, cookies, soft drinks, water, candy and snacks. The water in Iceland is clear and we urge our guests to drink it from the tap. It is fresh and clean, and one of the purest in the world.

We do offer luggage service, but only if it is prebooked and between 08.00-20.00. For breakfast we serve our home baked bread, toast, gluten free bread and brown bread. We also serve varity of vegetables, we have oatmeal, skyr, cereals, cookies, muffins, few diffrent types of ham and cheese, sausage, rice, chicken meatball, beans, bacon, eggs and ommelett, fruits, juices and a coffee or tea, with varity of types/flavours. I do appologize that we do not serve french tortillas, how ever we have waffle station so everyone can make their waffles by them self.

We do serve breakfast between 6.30-10.00 in the morning, and before starting to empty it we offer our remaining guests to get something before we start cleaning up. I am sorry that this was a shortcome during your stay.

The shower has a single glass and is open on one side, splashing is not a problem as the floor heating will dry it very soon.

Our occupancy is really good and booking last minute will only leave you with highest price available. Booking in advance will always get you better price.

I do hope you enjoyed your stay in Iceland and that your stay with us did not take to much from your travelling.

Best regards

Bella serata
Abbiamo preso salmone e agnello. Buoni entrambi.
Gentile ospite.
