Good hotel in Cape Town city center
Location is ideal because it’s right in the heart of the city. Friendly staff by the reception and restaurant is good too. Large breakfast buffet with a lot of choice. The room was fine apart from the fact that the airco hardly did anything so it was quite hot. Bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the bath. We wanted to go to the Waterfront and used the hotels shuttle service. This was a very smart way to get to your destination and cheap as well. At one point our room key didn’t work anymore and staff were very helpful and resettled it right away. I do think the elevators need an update. They made weird noises and sometimes the doors didn’t shut properly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fountains Hotel. All the staff members were friendly and warm. The location is excellent, the dining is good and one receives value for money.

Horrible experiencia
We booked in advance the rooms and when we arrived at the hotel (11.30pm) they told us that we were going to share a room with other 2 couples. We went to the room and it only had 1 bathroom for 6 people. After arguing that we booked separate rooms they made us wait until 2.30am to find a new room. The new room didn’t have electricity and the next day they changed us again to another room in which the water did not flow in the shower and sink. Terrible experience! And the staff was slow and not efficient at all. Never coming back

Pathetic
After having booked a room 2 months in advance, we were made to wait for our room for 1.5 hours at the reception. Then they said they would upgrade us to a suite , 3 bhk apartment but we ll have to share room with another family. Absolutely ridiculous. We refused and they made us wait for longer time only to be given a room with no charging sockets ( all plugs points for charger were removed ) no AC remote so can't use , no curtains no safe vault and ants all over the desk. Could not sleep all night as street lights coming in as no curtains. The room was so tiny that once u place ur bags, you can't even walk. The room was meant for a wheelchair patient. They did change the room the next day, which was better but welcomed with torn towels. I mean ... what kinda experience am I going to take back ? Besides, the elevator takes forever to come to your floor. Keep waiting !! Only good thing about this hotel is the cooperative staff. They were very helpful.
