Very surprised
Just back from an amazing trip to Rome. Hotel was fantastic, room was bigger and better than expected. Bed was so comfortable, clean bathroom and gorgeous smell everytime we entered hotel. Breakfast was delicious, with great selection! Only faults, our room smelt of stale smoke all the time and milk left with tea/coffee making facilities was out of date. All tourist attractions roughly 20-30 minute walk away, we didnt mind walking though. Overall a lovely hotel and would definitely stay again

Wonderful Hotel
I have just returned home following a 7 night stay at this very special hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated with smiles and enthusiasm by all staff. We needed to check in early, and that was no problem; all three rooms were ready. All rooms were clean, and bright, and well equipped. There was a coffee machine and kettle. Fresh supplies of tea and coffee were delivered every day. There was even an iron and ironing board.
The only negative from my point of view was the horrible view from my room. It overlooked a dirty courtyard and storage area. I had booked and paid for all three rooms, reserving the most expensive room category for myself. However, the other two rooms had the most wonderful views of trees and beautiful buildings. Really, I think that a room shouldn’t be sold as a superior room if it has such a gloomy view as my room did.
Now back to the nice things. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Rual, the breakfast waiter, was outstanding in the level of service he afforded us. Contrary to what is suggested in other reviews, the breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of hot and cold items to choose from.
The hotel is small, and this is wonderful because the staff quickly get to know all guests. There were extra little personal touches. All areas were kept impeccably clean. Our room was serviced every morning, and we were always given clean towels. There was never a shortage of anything in the room.
The hotel is within walking distance of the famous sites, and if we ever needed taxis the hotel reception organised this without delay.
In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there’s a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, all with excellent food at very reasonable prices. For example, in the cafe beside the hotel I was charged a mere €4.40 for a cappuccino and two little cakes.
This hotel far exceeded my expectations. We are already hoping to return there for another holiday early next year.
The only negative from my point of view was the horrible view from my room. It overlooked a dirty courtyard and storage area. I had booked and paid for all three rooms, reserving the most expensive room category for myself. However, the other two rooms had the most wonderful views of trees and beautiful buildings. Really, I think that a room shouldn’t be sold as a superior room if it has such a gloomy view as my room did.
Now back to the nice things. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Rual, the breakfast waiter, was outstanding in the level of service he afforded us. Contrary to what is suggested in other reviews, the breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of hot and cold items to choose from.

Not a 4 star hotel and overcharge on taxes
This was our first stop in Rome and would definitely not rate it as a 4 star hotel. The room was tiny and the decor very outdated and old.
The taxes were ridiculous compared to all other hotels in Europe as they charged 7.50 Euros per person per night. A total of 45.00 Euros in taxes for 3 nights.
We booked with Exotica and this was the superior hotel they provided in Rome.
I would not stay here again.

Not really a 4 star
Rooms were small compared to similar Hotels in Italy. Front desk clerk during checkin processed everything ok but was not very welcoming. The breakfast was just OK. They put the same empty bottle of Sriracha out for breakfast buffet 2 days in a row. Thumbs up to the breakfast staff. What contributed most to my low rating was the lack of AC in the room. I called for service a couple of hours after checking in. Maintenance checked it out and said all ok. Not true. Room had be above 80F entire stay

Weekend lungo a Roma
Siamo stati a Roma per un weekend lungo assieme ad una coppia di amici. L'hotel si trova in una posizione centrale facilmente raggiungibile, sempre pulito con un servizio attento alla clientela. Abbiamo approfittato ogni mattina della abbondate colazione che offriva un'ampia scelta tra dolci e salati. Quando abbiamo avuto bisogno di informazioni e assistenza il personale ha soddisfatto a pieno le nostre esigenze, in particolar modo abbiamo apprezzato la disponibilità e l'umanità di Ruel, che ci ha aiutato per tutta la permanenza.
