a very nice stay on both occasions
Stayed here at the start and end of our India holiday.
Pros:
-close to the metro (from the airport) and New Delhi railway station
-nice spacious rooms with comfortable beds and the rooms at the front are great for people watching
-very nice modern bathrooms
-great breakfast every morning on the roof top with a good variety of Indian/European food. This was the deal breaker for us to come back and stay as it was far better than the other hotels we stayed in on our trip
-mostly very helpful staff
Cons:
-if you are a first time visitor to India, you might be overwhelmed by rough and tumble location of the hotel
-the bedrooms are well used and could do with some maintenance for switches that don't work. Also, pillow protectors needed as the pillows are a bit grim!
-the manager at night was quite rude on several occasions, demanding to see our booking voucher etc. He was the exception however.

Checked on on 14.09.2023 and checked out on 15.09.2023. And read the review its a pathetic hotel.
It's an old property. The switches, locks, controls, and handles of the room are not properly maintained and are not in work.ing condition. the staff is rude, I was locked in the bathroom just after I checked into the hotel. I was locked inside for half an hour I went to take a shower and forgot the towel outside and hot water was also not available, I tried to open the door, but found that the handle and and latch is not working and the handle was broken, I started shouting I was getting suffocated because exhaust was also not working, I then started knocking and banging the door, then some nearby customers informed the hotel staff who came to my rescue I was about to fainted and panicked since I was alone for the work purpose. One of the maintenance staff Rinku the Manager Mr. Kaushal Kumar Pramod, who was there informed him that the staff himself was locked in another bathroom for half an hour, to which kaushal Kumar started shouting on him and stated you do not know the use, it is a life threatening incident. I was thereafter shifted to a smoking room despite my specific request of a non-smoking room. I also wrote the same to Agoda.com from where I booked the hotel, but they even today did not resolve the complaint. I was very upset with the incident since the hotel is not in an airy area, having enough oxygen or good air. Please think so many times before booking this hotel, and even the website like agoda will not help you since they are having a business of making money, nothing else. I hopefully I posted the same review on Agoda.com they should show it on their website since I immediately wrote them about the incident. I am sure people will think twice the food is not so good . And, they did not even bother since they have tie ups with all the other travel website. I am sure I from my side take the appropriate action against them.

Fue de luxe
Debió ser de Luxe en tiempos pretéritos como se puede apreciar por su escalera circular, la implantación de domótica en las habitaciones y una decoración con intereses lujosos. El paso del tiempo y un mantenimiento poco meticuloso hacen que se encuentre un poco en fase decadente. La limpieza tampoco es su fuerte y está bastante justita. En el restaurante se come una comida india bastante aceptable a precio razonable

Great service, housekeeping and food
Almost Perfect. The housekeeping was great and everyone was really friendly. The rooms were great, clean and the room service were excellent. The manager Ashok Pandya was really friendly and recommended really nice places to visit. Everyone helped us to have a really wonderful trip.

Perfect Stay for New Delhi
Just got home from a fantastic stay in Delhi at Hotel Godwin. The main guy (I think the owner), who worked the desk during the day was fantastic and super helpful. He helped arrange daytrips, super attentive to any queries we had. The staff would even make sure we got into the correct taxi/tuk tuk.
The hotel is very close to New Delhi Rail and Metro station. I think you could walk it but wouldn't reccomend. It's easy to hail a Tuk Tuk on Uber or off the street to take you.
The room was a very high standard for India with free bottles of water daily, and very good AC in the room. They aren't hugely sound proof and you can hear a lot of noise from outside the rooms, but it isn't too bad at all.
Their breakfast is yummy with Indian Curries for breakfast! The on site restaurant/room service is also delicious too, at a fair price.
We were made to feel welcome at the hotel and if I were to go back to Delhi, I would definitely stay again.
