Great hotel with fabulous food
Fabulous hotel.
The entertainment day and evening is very limited and the hotel is fairly remote although the hotel shuttle bus runs daily.
What makes this hotel special is the beautiful gardens, excellent food and great staff.
My favourite food was in the portofina restaurant under the watchful eye of Carmelo the boss and his excellent staff. Khalil was always happy to help with a smile to brighten up our day.
Martina brought to life any bar she worked in and knew her customers.
Hotel room overlooking the gardens was newly decorated and short of nothing.
Fabulous holiday and a hotel I would thoroughly recommend.

Super Sicilian Hotel
Having a brilliant holiday at this lovely hotel. First time in Sicily and this hotel does not disappoint. The bungalow room was quiet and spotless. All the restaurants delivered varied and delicious meals. Staff in all areas were friendly and helpful. We had especially great and attentive service from the staff at Portofino restaurant in the grounds by the beach. Carmelo and Khalil made every meal special. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful stay
A beautiful resort with sea and mountain views. A beautiful entrance and lots of gardens to walk around. There were bus facilities to go to Palermo or Cefalu a beautiful village half an hour away from the resort. Lovely staff always serving with a smile. If you love Mediterranean food, this will be the place to go. Saying that Sicania had different food themes every night. We loved our lunch at Portofino where they show cased their food and presented it beautifully. Roberto Sarlo, Luigi, Gaspare and chefs were amazing, welcoming us every day for our stay and ensuring everything was perfect (007). The room was super clean and comfortable. Definitely will be back there and definitely recommend the place. Thank you.

Good and less good experience
In generaal , for a week vacation its good, however we had Some great but also bad experiences here which do not comply what you expect with a 5 star hotel. First the great stuf: rooms shower and beds are really very good .staff is great especially at the main bar and Antonio at the beach bar. Friendly and running the extra Mile. Facilitys are on par moderator. Food is good at the buffet but on par with 5 star hotels. Ala Carte restaurant are great on food quality. The bad things below 5 star expectation: guest services: do not do what they promise and Just try to smooth things. There is no trust that theu do their best for you at all: its only telling They try, but nothing we asked in the week we are Here did lead to any response. So whatever. You ask they dont come back to you, which is not on 5 star level. Also the booking of a la carte: the app does not had any availability for the full week, which is bad. Also we Had a very noisy event is a company which seam to have extra privileges in anything which did not feel fair.,also2 nights we could limited sleep die to their noise on corridors. Gut, aber wird leider immer schlechter
Ich war bereits 5* im Grand Palladium in Sizilien, es wird leider jedes Mal schlechter und versucht, Service zu reduzieren und Einnahmen zu erhöhen.
Fangen wir erstmal mit dem sehr guten an:
Portofino (vor allem Khalid und Gianfranco) sehr freundlich TOP Service und gutes Essen. Extratime ist immer einen Besuch wert.
Jetzt zu dem schlechten:
Der Restauranteam im Sicania kommt leider nicht dem Ansturm hinterher, essen wird zum Teil spät nachgelegt, ganze Tischreihen sind nicht eingedeckt. Hier wird offensichtlich am Personal gespart. Unser trinken mussten wir uns an einem Abend komplett selbst zapfen da kein Personal weit und breit zu sehen war (saßen ganz hinten in Restaurant).
Es gab einen Ausfall der Wasser- &Stromversorgung während ich duschen war, sodass ich knapp 20min mit Shampoo auf dem Körper warten musste, bis das Wasser wieder lief.
An einen Abend im Extratime haben wir uns absolut nicht willkommen gefühlt. Hier waren zwei Angestellte, welche wir nicht kannten. Mit dem "alten" Team, welches an den anderen Tagen auch da war, kamen wir super klar und haben sehr viel gelacht und geredet - wie schon seit mindestens 2 Jahren auch.
Der Stand ist ungepflegt und voller Steine. Das war früher deutlich besser. natürlich erwarten wir keinen steinfreien Stand, ist auf dieser Seite der Insel auch schwer möglich, jedoch war es in den vergangen Jahren einfach viel besser und gepflegter.
Alles in allem war es trotzdem ein schöner Trip, aber ich weiß nicht, ob es mir das Geld wert ist. Ich werde mich wahrscheinlich auch nach anderen Hotels umsehen
