Dining room problems
The main problem for us was that the air conditioning in the dining room resulted in it being at times uncomfortably cold and some other quests where wearing jumpers and coats while dining. The other problem was having to queue for the evening meal. What table staff there was could not keep up with the task of clearing the tables which meant that, at times, a big queue built up at the door of the restuarant. The staff were working flat out but it seemed like there was not enough of them to match the amount of customers staying at the hotel.

Disappointed customer
It started on check in 54 euros for a room safe for ten days, then told if we had lunch on day of arrival then lwe would not be eligible for lunch on last day. Our all inclusive package ceased at 12 00 non our departure from hotel was scheduled for 19 30. This alone was meanie mouthed and penny pinching. This putting a down on the holiday opened our eyes and looking showed just how tired the hotel was the bathroom especially. The food was just OK not what I would call four star but you wouldn't go hungry,however every night there were queues to get into the restaurant you had to give room number and pass photo verification on a computer screen. Security such was almost a farce on two nights we eat out the queues were so long. Considering this was a return visit to this hotel all be it a five year gap we were extremely disappointed, so much we planed to return again to the amaika in September which we have cancelled and changed to another hotel. We have been traveling to Calella for many years we are not great complainers in fact this is the first time we have left a bad review even though some of the Hotels we've stayed in have been at the best questionable but never have we felt like this so disappointed really disappointed.

Another fantastic holiday
Had a fantastic holiday,
All the staff from the cleaners, catering & bar staff to managers are fantastic they all work really hard & are all approachable, on arrival the bathroom was not suitable for my mum so we was moved to a too room with a big walk in shower, it was the 1st time my mum stayed here and she cannot wait to return, I have been stating in the Amaika for years & hope to continue to do so!

Ignore all the negative comments, when you meet people who have been coming to this hotel for years it says it all!

Super hotel, odporúčame!

Needs improvement, has potential
I like to start with the negative....water and the lack of empathy. On my penultimate night, tired from a beautiful trip to Barcelona, I went to the bar for some water, ok the bar lady filled my little bottle and I also asked for a glass of water too. I thought being my last night I would get some caring emphatic service, so I asked for them to fill me a bottle, empty tall bottle of water and guess what, answer was no, I was asked to go buy the water bottle from outside. Water should be free in an all inclusive you would have thought.

So not so good experience.

Now the noise, night noises, banging of chairs or something at night.... People talking loudly etc...

Now food options
Ok looks like a lot, it's much the same bland taste. Definitely not suitable for a rich pallet. Lacking of any good food for vegetarians, my family was disappointed. We read such good reviews about food
I guess it's ok. The cream cakes... Ughhh... Margarine cakes all taste the same.
Mexican food night was great.
Other htop hotel food like pizzas were much better, at other places hadn't served up burnt hard pizza. Sometimes the salmon was too overcooked and dehydrated chips.
On request nice sauted vegetables were served.

My room tucked in a corner overlooking other people's rooms, terrible.
So no room with any views, no pleasant relaxing views.

In general rooms were clean, kudos to the team. Thank you.

Restaurant staff, very friendly....no issues there.

Reception ladies 2 very friendly. One young blonde girl, was quite unwelcoming.

All in all average.
I was lucky to have great company.... So at least enjoyed my holiday.

I would not recommend this place for those with food allergies or vegetarians, hotel group is really not inclusive or diverse. Shame.

But a big thank you to the service staff. Friendly and accommodating. Except the bar tender who served on the night of 5th July. He could have been kinder. It's all about customer service....he has much to learn.

Buena estancia y buena comida .

Yo a la cadena de hoteles h.top e estado en lloret en todos los hoteles muy bien en pineda también y el de Tarragona también el hotel que va mi opinión es muy faboborable yo siempre voy con pulsera oro ahorra es Gold lo conocí a través h.top calella palace el señor pep en esos años estaba en recepción y se júbilo de director me hicieron un pase para comer me gusto la paella y la comida esta estancia sigue igual los muevos responsables muy bien y la comida muy buena me encanto las torrijas y toda la comida menos un día que hicieron fideua a mi no me gusta comi lentejas las tomas o las dejas la repcion neus y Laura muy amables y todos en general incluyendo la dirección del hotel porque tuvieron todos un detalle que munca olvidaré I hecho a faltar al señor pera el responsable del comedor ya jubilado los que hay ahora son muy responsable y amables volveré seguro alguno de la cadena h.top la central y oficinas lo hago por teléfono a palafolls

Une Usine à touriste. Les repas ne sont pas terribles, la structure est vieillissante, le all inclusive est très limité. Par contre un personnel très sympa, très disponible et souriant. Ne comptez pas vous garer à proximité c'est impossible.

Très bon séjour
Vacances en couple du 3 au 10 septembre.
Très bon hôtel de 9 étages avec une déco sur le thème du Titanic et avec un ascenseur intérieur et un extérieur panoramique ,très bien situé dans le centre ville où se trouve une rue de 2,5 km de long avec diverses boutiques des deux côtés et proche de la mer à 500m . Belle promenade aménagée à faire le long de mer.
Personnel très accueillant ( restaurants - accueil -bar) et le petit plus certains parlent français.
Les repas sont bons ,présentés dans des coupelles individuelles (parfait moins de gaspillage )et un choix d’une viande et un poisson
Midi et soir cuit sur place à la plancha (gambas - darne de saumon - encornets). Il y a du choix.
Piscine extérieure non chauffée, pas très grande et pas beaucoup de transat pour contenter tout le monde mais l’hôtel propose gratuitement des transats et parasol à la plage selon la disponibilité.
Parking gardé attenant a l’hôtel mais place limitées (seulement 19 dommage) prix a 11€ par jour.
Nous avons choisi la formule tout inclus avec supplément prémium donnant accès a une chambre spacieuse( bonne literie)avec grande douche , alcool de marque , choix de plusieurs cocktails, vins de qualité aux repas.
Les animations en soirée étaient très biens.
Je recommande cet hôtel.

Très agreable
Hotel très bien situé et très bien tenu, très propre
Le personnel accueil et bar très sympathique
La présence du directeur dans les services est vraiment agréable et nous prouve que ce monsieur veille au bon fonctionnement de son hôtel. Idem pour le bar de plage.
Points négatifs : la restauration.
Le personnel doit courir pour dresser et débarrasser les tables. De ce fait pas très souriant envers les clients.
La nourriture servie au buffet dans les petits plats : c'est joli et anti gaspillage . Mais les plats sont vite très froids. Manque de variété au show cooking.

Très beau séjour à Calella
Hôtel au top !
Tout le personnel ( accueil, serveurs et serveuses au bar, femmes de ménage)
est agréable, aimable et souriant.
On s'est régalé avec le buffet à volonté à chaque repas.
On nous propose une grande variété de plats, de l'entrée au dessert.
La décoration faisant référence au Titanic est magnifique.
L'hôtel est propre, la terrasse de la piscine est très agréable !
Il est situé près de l'immense plage, et proche des commerces, pas besoin de véhicule pour se déplacer.
Une séance au spa fait beaucoup de bien.
Les animations en soirée étaient très bien.
Merci à toute l'équipe pour le travail fourni pour le plus grand bonheur des touristes !

Wifi gratis per utilizzo di whatsapp, mentre la navigazion/youtube è a pagamento.

Cibo Buono! 1 SOLA Acqua da 250ml/birra da 300ml inclusa nel prezzo.
Per avere altre bibite si deve fare una tessera GOLD dell'hotel non accettano il pagamento in loco.

Mare vicino, ma acqua non molto bella.

Personale: Mi sentivo declassato solo perché non avevo la tessera Gold ma Economy, Reception cordiale a differenza della ragazza della cassa del ristorante, sgarbata e arrogante.

Checkout: Macchinoso e brusco, son stato mandato via ritirando la tessera. Han trattenuto per loro errore la mia carta d'identità, causandomi un grosso ritardo con i voli aerei.

Servizio Spiaggia: I lettini a pagamento 7€, un ragazzo di colore in modo arrogante mi ha costretto a pagare nonostante non ci fossero cartelli che segnalavano il costo del servizio.

Vacanza in costa brava
Hotel molto bello sembra di essere sul "titanic". Camere ampie e pulite. Bagno molto spazioso con doccia e vasca. Balcone vista mare. Staff cordiale e disponibile. Ristorante stupendo, cucina ottima, ogni giorno pietanze nuove e buonissime. Noi avevamo la formula all-inclusive ed è stato magnifico.

Buon hotel
struttura buona sul mare con personale molto cortese e disponibile. La camera a me assegnata era con balcone con vista sul mare. Peccato per i fumatori che non possono fumare nemmeno nella terrazza. Chissà perchè?

Unfreundlich, unsauber und laut
Ich beschwere mich so gut wie nie, aber dieses Mal muss ich etwas sagen:

das Zimmer war klein und hellhörig.
Die Sauberkeit war beim Ankunft eigentlich ok, aber während meines Aufenthalts hat das Zimmermädchen nur die Handtücher nur gefalten und aufgehängt.

Nach dem Auschecken habe ich gemerkt, dass ich mein Glätteisen im Zimmer vergessen habe. Die Rezeptionistin, die sich mit meinem Problem beschäftigt hat, war sehr unfreundlich. Es hat ewig gedauert, bis ich die Antwort bekommen habe, dass sie mein Glätteisen nicht gefunden haben.
ich habe noch ein mal probiert wegen des Gerätes nachzuhacken, hat es aber nichts gebracht.
Ich empfehle es zu vermeiden, in diesem Hotel ein Zimmer zu buchen.

Sehr leid, dass nicht geschehen entweder ihren Urlaub in unserem Hotel nach Ihren Kommentaren.
Das gleiche leid, wenn Sie Ihre Haarglätter zu vergessen unsere Hotels so, wenn Sie garantieren können, ist, dass Sie Ihr Zimmer wurde nicht gefunden.
Unsere Mitarbeiter, wenn ein Kunde etwas vergisst aufgezeichnet ist, Tag und Zimmer und geht zu einem Raum, in dem alle die vergessene unserer Kunden Objekte gespeichert werden.
Außerdem fühle ich mich der Kommentar der Sauberkeit der Zimmer gemacht wird, wird der Dienst täglich durchgeführt, Reinigung, Wäsche und Handtuchwechsel und alle 2 oder 3 Tage die Bettwäsche gewechselt.
Zur gleichen Zeit, wenn es einige Missverständnisse mit dem Personal an der Rezeption leid, ich entschuldige mich.

Essen: mangelhaft!
Ich war im Mai 2013 mit meinem Freund im H TOP Amaika in Calella.
Wir hatten dieses Hotel ausgewählt, da wir Halbpension buchen wollten und wir davon ausgingen, dass das Essen in einem Vier-Sterne-Hotel eine gewisse Qualität hat.
Jedoch wurden wir in dieser Annahme stark enttäuscht.
Das Essen war so ungenießbar, dass wir (fast) jeden Abend irgendwo im Ort essen waren.
Das einzig halbwegs genießbare Essen, waren Burger zum Selber-Belegen. Wobei sich hier bei mir die Frage auftut, welchen Qualitätsstandarts ein Hotel aufweisen muss, damit es ein Vier-Sterne-Hotel wird. Und wieso es in einem Hotel mit diesem angeblich hohem Standart Burger gibt.
Hinzu kommt, dass mein Freund an einem der Abende, als wir im Hotel gegessen haben, Magenprobleme (und einiges weiteres, was ich hier ungerne nennen möchte) bekam.
Damit war für uns das Abendessen gestrichen. Auch eine Rückbuchung auf 'Übernachten und Frühstück' war nicht möglich, was wir sehr enttäuschend fanden. Auf unsere Bitte darum bekamen wir Antworten wie: "Schmeckt Ihnen das Essen etwa nicht?" und "Wir hatten hier noch nie Probleme mit dem Essen".
Das Frühstück war okay, aber mehr auch nicht. Es gibt keinen Schokoaufstrich (Nutella...) und der Kaffee kommt aus dem Automaten, genau wie der Saft (der sehr außergewöhnlich schmeckt, um es mal positiv auszudrücken).

Neben dem Essen sind teilweise mangelnde Englischkenntnise anzumerken, welche vor allem an der Rezeption zu Problemen führen.

Sehr sauber und großzügig waren die Zimmer.Das Bad war sauber und geräumig. Ausßerdem wurde das Zimmer jeden Tag gereingt.
Jedoch ist unbedingt zu prüfen, ob der "Schnapp-Mechanismus" der Balkon-Tür funktioniert. Bei uns war das nämlich nicht der Fall und wir waren zwischen halb 1 und halb 2 nachts auf unserem Balkon ausgesperrt, bevor wir auf uns aufmerksam machen konnten.

Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt angenehm, das Essen aber nicht einem Vier-Sterne-Hotel entsprechend.

Die Lage war prima, direkt am Geschehen und der Strand in 2 Minuten erreichbar Die Zimmer waren groß und wirklich sauber, ebenso das Bad. Es gab täglich frische Handtücher und auch die Bettwäsche wurde regelmäßig erneuert. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit, Leider entsprachen weder Frühstück noch Abendessen einem 4 Sterne-Hotel. Das Abendessen wiederholte sich wöchentlich, auch von der Zusammenstellung, es gab zu wenig typisches. Genauso war es mit den Nachspeisen und dem Frühstück. Es gab die übliche frischen Wurstsorten, 1 Sorte geschmacksneutralen Scheibenkäse und abgepackte Marmelade bzw. Honig. Die Fertigsäfte aus dem Automaten sind eine Katatrophe! Besonders störend war für mich die Lautstärke und Unruhe im Speisesaal. Kein Wunder bei einer Kapazität von 330 Personen! Auch wenn die Tische immer frisch eingedeckt waren, kam ich mir vor wie in einer Kantine. Schon allein aus diesem Grund würde ich das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen. Es verdient alles in allem keine Anspruch auf 4****

+Die Zimmer waren geräumig und sehr sauber. +Zimmerservice jeden Tag mit frischen Handtüchern.
+ Pool und Bar waren auch super und vollkommen ausreichend.
+ Der Strand war in 2 Minuten zu erreichen.

- Nachmittags gab es dann einen so genannten "Snack". Der bestand aus Brötchen, die, wenn man Glück hatte, vom Frühstück übriggeblieben waren. Könnten aber auch gut vom Vortag gewesen sein...
-Abendessen schmeckte überhaupt nicht! Hier wären max.

Tolles Hotel
Wir waren nun schon zweimal im Amaika und haben unseren Aufenthalt dort beide Male wirklich genossen!

Wenn Sie einen preisgünstigen Kurzurlaub verbringen wollen, ist das das Richtige für Sie.

Stimmt, der Pool ist ein bisschen klein, aber wir waren nie am Pool, da der herrliche Strand nur 5 Minuten entfernt ist!!! Ich sitze viel lieber dort und lausche den Wellen, als denjenigen, die den ganzen Tag nur trinken!

Stimmt, man begegnet einigen rüpelhaften Briten im Ausland, aber das hat unseren Aufenthalt nicht beeinträchtigt.

Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und werden regelmäßig gereinigt. Das Badezimmer ist zwar ausreichend, aber ich würde auch sagen, dass die Duschkabine ein bisschen klein ist.

Ich würde empfehlen, mit dem Zug nach Barcelona zu fahren, auf der ganzen Strecke hat man eine wunderschöne Landschaft!

Wir besuchten bei unserem ersten Aufenthalt das mittelalterliche Bankett, das sehr vergnüglich ist.

Unterhaltung - man gibt sich alle Mühe! Es macht alles viel Spaß, wenn man das Wesen der Dinge erfasst. Das erste Mal habe ich am Flamenco-Tanzkurs teilgenommen, da alle anderen keine Lust dazu hatten!!!

Das Essen ist gut, man verlässt nie hungrig den Tisch, die Puddings haben mir wirklich gut gefallen, besonders der „Schokoladenklecks“! – wir haben ihn so genannt! Wir hatten nie etwas dabei, was zu wenig gekocht war, und ich bin ziemlich pingelig in dieser Hinsicht. Wenn Sie in dem Hotel sind, sollten Sie die Sauna und den Whirlpool so oft wie möglich benutzen, wir sind jeden Tag rein gegangen, es ist wirklich schön, sie für sich allein zu haben, und man bekommt auch saubere Handtücher.

Alles in allem ein tolles Hotel für einen Kurzurlaub, würde es jedem empfehlen.
