Old world charm
This hotel is perfectly situated on the main square in Salta, close to major attractions. It was built in 1942 and retains a charm of days gone by. It is well maintained and keeps the flavor of the past. Rooms are small but comfortable. There is a garden with a pool. The breakfast was served in an amazing dining room with beautiful murals. We had some trouble with air conditioning the first night but the staff quickly addressed the issue. Som area of improvement: better maintenance of the pool and pool area would be nice. Some outdoor seating for the breakfast would also be nice. But please keep the charm and soul. This is not a cookie-cutter hotel. We loved it.

Hotel bien.conservado. habitaciones y camas comodas. Baño amplio. Buen desayuno. Personal sumamente amable. Fuimos un grupo coral uruguayo[31 pasajeros] y todos qyefamos encantados. Hermosa piscina y excelente ubicacion. El restaurante tambien es muy bueno. Volveremos.

I won´t be going back
I will definitely go back to Salta (which is beautiful by the way) but will not choose this hotel again. My choise of staying there was mainly because of its location, which is indeed great. Rooms and bedding were always very clean. I don´t recommend a standard room since the shower area is minuscule (and due to the shower curtain, the bathroom floods everytime someone showers). The breakfast is served on a beautiful and large room, but the food items seemed always to be from the day before. It´s not bad, but could be better for a self proclaimed 4* hotel. The breakfast though, was really nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant situation with the reception desk for two nights in a row. My mom caught a cold, so I went downstairs (I didn´t even call, I went there myself) to get a mug or cup with hot water so I could fetch her some tea (which I had taken with me from home, God forbid I ask for that too). The guy told me they didn´t have any that could be borrowed for guests, just the ones the staff used there. I said that was ok if I could have it, since it was almost 10 P.M. so a bit late to go out and buy one. He wasn´t very pleased on lending it to me. Anyways, fast forward to a few hours later ( I cannot be precise here because I was already asleep) the room phone rings and the person asks me about the cup I had borrowed! Importante side note: it was a corporate gift mug from the car rental company near the hotel... it wasn´t even a hotel one. Anyways, I told him we were already asleep and I would take it back the next morning first thing, since we would leave really early next morning (not leave the hotel, leave for a tour). So next morning I did as I said i would. Different staff at the desk, I told them what had happened, he apologized etc. The next night I needed the same thing once again and thought, well, they already know I´m not a mug thief, so they will lend it again right? Same guy from the night before comes with a espresso mug (really small) saying that was the only one they had. Clearly he didn´t want to help me because I had complained (and he probably got questioned about it). So I left the hotel (at 9:45 P.M) to buy a mug to fetch my mom another tea. I was not only disappointed but also offended. Anyways, I don´t recommend it at all. All the nice things got lost after that.

Un servicio que deja mucho que desear. Petulancia de 4☆, un servicio de 2☆
Ya van dos veces que la persona encargada de la limpieza nos deja cartas en las que avisa que no va a cambiar la sábana o la toalla porque tiene una marchita (que se lava con jabón y agua) y amenaza con que nos va a cobrar la toalla o la funda de la almohada.
Se supone que cuando vas a un hotel, salvo que lo avisen de antemano, esperas un servicio de limpieza en el que no te rompan la paciencia con reclamos. No sé si lo hacen para sacar plata, si lo hacen porque tienen algún problema de discriminación hacia las pasajeras o si simplemente es una persona a quien le dan rienda suelta para acosar a los pasajeros. Sea como fuere, no recomiendo en lo más mínimo el hotel. El baño es minúsculo. El servicio de limpieza es insufrible, y lo único que rescato es la atención de las chicas que atienden en el.desayuno, quienes te tratan con gran amorosidad.

Excelente ubicación y atención
Excelente ubicación! La habitación muy amplia, con buena decoración y una hermosa vista a la iglesia San Francisco. El WiFi anduvo perfecto. El desayuno se sirve a partir de las 6.10 lo cual para hacer excursiones es ideal ya que la mayoría te pasan a buscar a las 6.30 y es variado. Todo el personal es muy amable.
