On the north western bank of Lake Pichola, the newly renovated Hotel Sarovar is just a short walk from the City Palace and other attractions of the old city. Located on the quiet side of the old city, this boutique hotel offers spacious rooms, a view of the sunrise over the old city and Gangaur Ghat, and a rooftop restaurant and lounge, making it perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation.

Rooms at Sarovar are of three types: lake facing Suites, lake facing Super Deluxe rooms and Deluxe non-lake facing (with city view). All rooms are large with plenty of natural light, flat-screen TV with cable channels, air conditioning and free WiFi. Each room has ample storage space as well as a kettle with coffee and tea maker. Suite rooms have an additional anteroom lounge area. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom with shower and toiletries as well. Additional mattresses can be arranged upon prior request.

Our staff is here to look after you and you will find that old world charm meet the highest hotel industry standards at our hotel.

We also strive to be eco friendly. We use solar heating for our water and abide by a low-plastic philosophy.

Please note that vehicular traffic to our hotel is restricted; four-wheelers are not allowed into our lane, but rickshaws and scooters are. Do get in touch with us if you need help with parking. We can also arrange a (paid) pickup for you and your luggage from the public parking areas or from the station or airport.

A Trip to Remember
The hotel staff was very friendly rooms were neat and clean the lake view from the hotel was awesome and I had a wonderful experience and the night view of the lake from the hotel room was amazing. Looking forward to the future and I also recommend it to my family and friends.

Great hotel on budget with best view.
Best one in budget
We were two girls who stayed in here.....it was save in therer and property is so clean with best view on lake pichola.
Staff members are also very polite and helps u whenever u need them
Every night they even host a live performance by a singer which make your stay even more pleasant.

Lovely stay at lake Pichola
I requested for rooms at higher floor and one was kept for me. However considering the hotel doesnt have lift getting up the stairs on regular basis would have been challenge for my 78 yrs mom. Understanding same even before i telling the front office team suggested to stay at the lake facing river view room. I am really thankful for them for been thoughtful.
Not having lift is only drawback of the hotel. They also ensure i could pick the complimentary breakfast for my mom and have it delivered to our room daily so that mom can avoid the stairs.
Coming to the room, its super spacious, a thoughtful dreamy curtain separates the seating area and bed. I would recoomend river view rooms. Corner rooms are even more huge and suitable if more rhan 2 ppl are staying.
Well maintained and comfortable room. Breakfast and food in general is good. May be bit pricey .
Location wise i really liked it as there was quite few attractions, souvenir shops in walking distances.
Simply great stay additional bonus was hotel been opposite of gangaur ghat. We could see Jal jhulni festival till late night just sitting at room.

Worth staying here
The view from the room and the hospitality was awesome. Breakfast provided with lot of varieties. Cleanliness wise also it was good. Other amenities like electric kettle helped me alot in feeding my 9 month old baby . We can reach easily there through any conveyance facility

Very nice stay !
Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cet hôtel situé au bord du lac Pichola. Il offre des vues depuis son roof top incroyables. Il est également situé tout proche de la vieille ville d'Udaipur. Les chambres sont confortables et spacieuses. Nous avons profité sur service de "laundry" réalisé en 12 heures. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est varié et complet. Nous avons dîné un soir sur le roof top et la cuisine était correcte. Le personnel est serviable. Je recommande cet hôtel.

L’unica cosa positiva di questo albergo è la posizione e la pulizia, per il resto stanze molto rumore, ristorante niente di che, la colazione che dovrebbe essere pronta alle 7 viene servita alle 8:30 insomma, si può trovare di molto meglio

Déçus de ce lieu. Bryant le soir, personnel peu agréable et la chambre très sale,y compris la literie. Petit déjeuner bâclé. Nous devions y rester 2 nuits mais avons quitté après une nuit. Seul point positif,la vue sur le lac ! A éviter.
Cher client, nous sommes déçus que vous ayez trouvé l’hôtel et ses services très inférieurs à la moyenne et nous aurions aimé que vous nous le signaliez pendant votre séjour à l’hôtel, afin que nous puissions tenter de rattraper notre retard. Tolles kleines Hotel direkt am Lake Pichola; Super Aussicht
Wir haben insgesamt 3 Nächte verbracht (Erkerzimmer). Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig. Das Badezimmer funktionell und sauber.
Das Hotel liegt direkt in der Altstadt und die seeseitigen Zimmer haben einen phantastischen Ausblick auf den See, die Altstadt und die Festung.
Sehr kurze Wege zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten und Spaziergänge durch die Altstadt.
Wir haben besonders das Essen auf der Dachterasse genossen. Eine Super-Aussicht beim Abendessen auf die Altstadt.
Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren gut.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Traumhafte Aussicht
Das Hotel liegt direkt am See und hat viele Zimmer mit Seeblick. Die Zimmer sind wahrlich groß und sehr gepflegt.
Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und immer gut beraten, man konnte sich jeder Zeit an das Personal wenden und wurde immer unterstützt.
Absolut herrlich ist die Dachterrasse. Man blickt über den See und schaut direkt auf den Palast.
Das Restaurant ist gut , sehr empfehlenswert sind die Vorspeisen, unbedingt durchprobieren.

Geheimtip: Ruhig gelegen, direkt am See gegenüber des Palastes mit traumhaftem Roof-Top-Restaurant
Das Hotel liegt ideal auf der ruhigeren Seite, direkt am Picholasee. Die zentralen Highlights der Innenstadt sind über die nahgelegene Fußgängerbrücke schnell zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, wir hatten noch eine romantische Nische mit Blick auf den See und den Palast. Die Fenster haben Mückennetze, man kann mit offenem Fenster auch ohne Klimaanlage in den bequemen großen Betten gut schlafen. Das Highlight und ein echter Geheimtipp ist die Dachterrasse mit Blick auf die Stadt und den alten Maharadscha Palast. Das Roof-Top Restaurant bietet eine breite Auswahl der indischen Küche, auch Veganes und überraschende Gerichte, die wir sonst nie auf einer Karte gefunden haben. Ausprobieren lohnt sich. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und versucht jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Udaipur ist ein "Must" auf jeder Rajasthan-Reise. Und wenn in dieser traumhaften Stadt, dann auf jeden Fall ins Sarovar! Wir waren mit unseren Kindern dort und hatten die Zimmer 204 und 203 mit Blick auf den See.

Buon hotel con splendido panoramico
Siamo rimasti ad Udaipur, città che ben conosciamo, per circa 20 giorni e per la prima volta abbiamo alloggiato in questo hotel. È stata una piacevole sorpresa. L'hotel a prezzi economici è veramente molto carino, le camere sono semplici ma molto pulite e spaziose, si trova in una zona non trafficata comunque in centro, con una bellissima vista sulla città e sul lago Pichola. Il personale è gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. Buono il ristorante sul tetto.Lo consigliamo vivamente.

Agradable Lugar
Un hotel cómodo, tienen un lindo restaurante en la terraza, tiene una gran vista del lago y se come bien. El hotel esta muy bien ubicado y en el lugar te ofrecen un tour para ver el lugar donde se filmo la película The Grand Hotel Marigold.

HÕTEL SIMPLE MAIS CONFORTABLE. EXCELLENT ACCUEIL
C'est par hasard que j'ai dormi 2 nuits dans cet hôtel après avoir fui le Mandiran Palace à 7h30 (lire mon avis) situé à quelques mètres de là. On m'a fait choisir ma chambre - grande, confortable, avec une magnifique alcolve sur le lac (nº 204), offert le petit-déjeuner que je n'avais pas pu prendre au Mandiran et moitié moins cher. C'est un hôtel simple, avec un mignon restaurant sur le toit. Un room-service (bon dîner) aimable et rapide. Juste une petite critique : au moment du ménage, mettre du produit anti-insectes rampant dans la salle de bain. L'humidité les attire. Mais dans la chambre, pas de problème. C'est grâce à l'étudiant Mahi, qui travaille au Karni Tours - juste en face du Mandiran - qui m'a indiqué et accompagné à cet hôtel, sauvant mon séjour.

Lo peor que he visto en la vida
Sucio , malos olores , la realidad nada que ver con las fotos del hotel, complicado de entrar en vehículo, mal servicio. Teniamos que pasar dos noche y nos fuimos a los diez minutos, baño horroroso. Lo peor que he visto de largo

Desastroso
Hotel lleno de cucarachas, habitación pobre y lleno de suciedad. Si quieres que limpien tu habitación debes estar presente dentro, debe ser porque los robos del personal deben haber obligado a hacer así las cosas. Si esto no es suficiente, lo peor es el desayuno, te atienden fatal y la comida que te sirven es mala y escasa. Mi consejo es que huyas como de la peste de este lugar.
Estimado señor / señora, aunque es bastante decepcionante leer su crítica sin embargo, queremos sacar a relucir que sus observaciones sacadas en su crítica son absolutamente falsa. La verdad es que se ha seleccionado el hotel y reservado a través de su canal seleccionado ya su llegada ni siquiera estancia en nuestro hotel sin dar ninguna razón válida para su insatisfacción. Nos duele saber que hay viajeros por ahí que escribir comentarios incorrectos difusión desinformación sobre hoteles. Sin embargo, le deseamos buena suerte para todos sus viajes por delante. Schön gelegenes Hotel mit zu lauter Klimaanlage
Die Lage des Hotels ist tiptop: Auf der anderen Seeseite erblickt man die grossen Sehenswürdigkeiten, die in kurzer Laufdistanz gut erreicht werden können. Besonders mochte ich den Aufenthaltsraum im Erdgeschoss mit kleinem Terrässchen gegen den See hin und die tolle Dachterasse mit gutem Ausblick! Das Zimmer war sauber und zweckmässig. Leider war die Klimaanlage zwischendurch ausserordentlich laut, weshalb ich sie in der Nacht ausgeschaltet habe.

Incompréhension ?
Les chambres sont spacieuses, salle de bain correcte, et avec pour certaines une jolie vue sur le lac Pichola. Le restaurant situé sur le toit offre également une jolie vue sur le lac et sur le City Palace plus sur la droite.
Toutefois, nous avons été très insatisfaits par le fait que rien n'avait été fait pour la deuxième nuit que nous y avons passé: nous ne souhaitions pas que les draps soient changés mais cela a entraîné pas de nouvelles serviettes, pas de ménage, pas de remplacement des tasses......ce qui explique notre note donc veillez à préciser ces détails si vous leur indiquez de ne pas changer les draps........

Bella vista su Pichola
Il punto forte di questo albergo è la magnifica sul lago Pichola, soprattutto alla sera quando la città con le sue luci si riflette sull'acqua e sembra di vivere in un'altra epoca.
Albergo economico ma da risistemare, ha un enorme potenzialità si trova in centro facilmente raggiungibile e svetta sul lago, con degli accorgimenti diventerebbe un una bella struttura.

Motel

Les chambres (enfin du moins celle que j'ai eu) est des plus rustique!
Le pire etant la salle de bain - le strict minimum! Ne pas s'attendre à du confort.
Les matelas des lits...impression d'être à meme le bois! Et un ami cafard pour nous dire coucou, bon, il faut jouer le jeu, pays chaud = forcement petits amis non souhaités!
Malgré tt le service est bien, accueilli avec le collier de fleur
Hotel tres bien situé avec une superbe vue et un hall dans le theme et sympatique mais c tout ce qu'il offre.

Muy buenas vistas
Las habitaciones que tienen vistas están muy bien, el servicio es bueno. El restaurante de la terraza está bien y tiene muy buenas vistas. La habitación por el precio está bien. El hotel tiene buena ubicación

Ni Fa ni Fa.
Un hotel con una excelente ubicación a orillas del lago Pichola. Sin embargo la habitación está un poco dejada, falta de cuidado y el baño necesita un arreglo urgente. La ropa de baño hay que cambiarla, muy deteriorada y el servicio no es muy bueno.

Buon hotel economico
Trovato questo hotel per scappare dalla guesthouse dream heaven a 200m da questo hotel.
Camere pulite (pulizia indiana) e bagni grandi.
Personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile..camere vista lago da 3000/- R a notte e 2000/- R senza vista lago.
Consigliato anche per la posizione tranquilla.
