When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. Most things do not work today in this run-down hotel
Most of it didn't work. No hot water, bad Internet, dirty, worn, bad service...
The pictures on Booking and on the website were taken a long time ago. Not correct. The bar is on a back street and is seedy. Nothing nice around the pool. Badly managed hotel. Not 3 stars.
Significantly better breakfast at any nearby restaurant.
It has seen its best days. Now only good at marketing (fake). Booking and others should update their information. Old reviews aren't worth anything either.
We stay in hotels often in India and all over the world and can compare. You get significantly better value at a simpler hotel in Kovalam.

Amazing View, Great Hospitality, Good Food
Had an amazing time at Kovalam, this was the 7th time I have stayed at Hotel Sea Face. The location is fantastic, right at the beach and the view from our room was absolutely amazing. We could watch a pretty sunset right from our room. Staff was courteous and helpful. Full marks for service, hospitality, location and the view from the rooms. The room was spacious, neat and clean and had all basic facilities but do need a little TLC. The food was amazing, but the menu wasn’t fully available.

Nothing good except the location of the hotel
There is nothing good to write about the hotel except its location.
The quality of room needs huge attention by the management. Dirt is easily visible at various corners of the room. It seems as if no one ever pays attention to cleanliness of the rooms.
Coming to the room service, it seems no training is provided to the staff! When ordering food for in-room dining, how can your staff bring the Roti or any Indian breads without it being wrapped in aluminum foil or in any container? They serve it without covering it with anything. I have never seen any hotel serve food like this.
Coming to the swimming pool timing. The hotel has the worst timing for its swimming pool. One cannot swim after 6pm and before 11am. They expect people to swim when it is scorching hot. People visit resort for leisure, but they do not allow them because of some weird reasons. How do you expect small children to swim when it is so hot? Very disappointed. I raised the complaint to the front desk, but their response was rude and highly disappointing.
Talking of the breakfast, it seems they are doing a favor to their clients by providing such kind of menu which has hardly anything to eat.

Good beachfront hotel
Hotel rooms are clean and spacious with attached balcony. All the rooms are seafacing. The beach is just bellow the terrace of the hotel. Lobby is not airconditioned. There is inadequate number of staffs to take care of the guests. Check in is lengthy. No dish with the tv. Scope of improvement is there.
