Découverte de l'Egypte et de ses trésors culturels
Séjour à l'hotel Casa del mar à Hurghada dans la partie réservée à Marmara du 08/06/24 au 22/06/24.Hotel agréable,propre,proche de l'aéroport(10 kms)très bien situé entre le Caire et Louxor,une avenue avec promenade piétonnière devant l'hotel avec de multiples magasins souvenirs dont un à 15 minutes à pieds en sortant coté plage "Cléopatra"sur 2 étages avec prix affichés et raisonnables,vous pouvez aussi prendre un taxi qui pour 5 euros maximun(250 livres Egyptcienne)négocié le prix avant de monter,vous conduira à la Marina ou se trouve un magasin avec prix raisonnables et la aussi affichés.Comme dans tous les pays chauds,privilégier le soir pour sortir(attention en traversant,les piétons ne sont pas prioritaires) en Egypte!Hotel avec 2 belles piscines,transats en nombre suffisants,accès à la plage en traversant l'avenue à 5 minutes avec petit coin équipé de transats réservé à Marmara mais attention pour les boissons,il faut courir après le serveur(pas top!).Buffet correct mais très peu de pastèques et melons(dommage pour la réhydratation),de plus pour ce qui concerne le tout-inclus boissons,rien à redire aux bars piscines et réception mais au buffet,il faut etre patient pour la bière ou le vin servis par le personnel mais de façon très aléatoire(à mon avis des consignes sont données pour limité et faire des économies sur les consomations).Par contre bon choix et bonne qualité des cocktails proposés.La wiffi ne fonctionne correctement qu'à la réception,chambre premium bien équipée et spacieuse,rien à redire,bonne climatisation,télévision qui fonctionne bien,coffre fort,deux bouteilles d'eau dans le frigo changées tous les jours,une terrasse,salle de bain avec douche italienne,bonne literie.Correspondante Marmara(Romi)parfaite,souriante,présente et éfficace.Equipe d'animation super!Présents,sympas et dynamiques.Une petite salle de sport,une petite salle billard et un restaurant à la carte que l'on peut réserver 1 fois x semaine de bonne qualité.Personnels souriant et au petit soin,une personne à la réception parle français,très gentille et éfficace.Prévoyer une enveloppe pour les pourboires,régulièrement attendu et réclamé(trop systématiquement)pénible au bout d'un moment...Nous avons fait 4 excursions en passant par l'hotel(assez chères mais vous n'avez pas de mauvaises surprises(en passant par les agences extérieures,vous pairez moins chère mais attention au comparatif des prestations et à la sécurité),sortie à l'ile de Mahmya avec plongée(sans bouteille)Magnifique!Le Caire et Louxor sont incontournables et inoubliables,meme sous une chaleur écrasante(si vous craignez les fortes températures n'allez pas en Egypte)en tout cas pas en Juin.Seule la journée safari avec quad et buggy au programme est décevante(si vous ne maitrisez pas complètement ces engins et si vous etes une femme,vous serez priée de vous contenter de regarder les autres),vu le peu de danger dans le désert ou il n'y a ni obstacles ni piétons et à vitesse limitée,c'est inadmissible et discriminatoire.C'est ce qui est arrivé à mon épouse et à plusieurs autres personnes participantes à cette journée safari,et d'autres durant notre séjour se sont plains des memes disriminations.D'autant plus inadmissible que l'on ne vous informe pas sur cette éventualité au moment de la réservation sinon il y aurait beaucoup moins de candidats.Sinon ambiance générale du club super convivial,nous n'oublierons jamais ce superbe voyage en Egypte!

A vacation to remember
I have been many times in Hurgada, but this time it was (different) , what a wonderful staff ,they were so professional, trying to help as much as they can , trying to give you a time to remember
Thanks a lot to Mr.Joseph William who made our stay so special , and the amazing talented chef Mr. Tobba for the wonderful tasty food that he prepared in every single meal & Mr Abdalrahman who didn't let us need anything in dinning time.
Thanks to Mr. Ahmed youssef & Mr. Mostafa arsan and all the hotel staff for giving us such a great vacation and hope to see you soon .

Let’s start with check in very quick after 3 hour delay
Shown to room with massive comfy bed ( hubby found it bit hard)
Slept well A/C worked very well room and bathroom were pleasant and spotless.
Grounds are kept immaculate big Thankyou to the gardeners who work tirelessly in the heat.
Buffet restaurant was also spotless plenty of choice always found something nice to eat.
Every member of staff seemed to be happy in there job.
Al a carte restaurant has fantastic staff with great food.
Mohammed who works there has the biggest smile and always gave a wave and a smile he is an asset to your hotel, such a beautiful person.
We have never been treated so well in any hotel we have been to from chefs bringing fruit drinks canapés around the pool,
The management evening dinner with the flautist playing was an absolute delight what a beautiful night we all had.
The beach parties were fab too.
Entertainment staff where also very happy in there work.
Mohammad the manager was like an old friend he was very engaging and more importantly he was always present and available to speak too.
I would like to make 1 suggestion maybe on nights by reception when there is no entertainment on there could be some background music on or maybe bit of dance music for us oldies who like a bit of a dance.

Average stay
We stayed at the Iberotel Casa del mar for 1 week and have mixed opinions on the stay.
The hotel overall is modern with 2 big pools with swim up bars either side, and a small area for water slides and a kids pool. We stayed in a deluxe room which had a seated terrace, a big bed, a sitting area and plenty of wardrobe and storage space. The bathroom was okay however could do with deep cleaning the mould in the shower or renovating slightly. Almost all of the staff could not do enough for you and was really friendly, however the same friendliness was not given in the restaurant by some of the chefs and older waiters that did not crack a smile or clear plates/ offer drinks at the table. The entertainment was little to none and when shows were put on they lasted 30 mins and then relied heavily on 2 young girls and a lad to mess about and dance (unprofessionally) The entertainment was focussed heavily on French guests during the day and night and they did not get involved with the English or other nationalities that did not speak French. During the day we never got asked to join in on darts/ water polo/ table tennis/ aqua aerobics etc and this was the same for other English guests that we met during our stay. We also went to watch the England Euro’s game on the TV in the games room area and was told that they did not show football games there, however Germany was playing on the TV the night before? So somebody complained to reception who came over and turned the game on eventually..
The drinks at the hotel were okay with a good selection of cocktails on the menu, the pop was all out of a Coca Cola machine which was an added bonus as most all inclusive are cheap brands of soft drinks.
We didn’t think much of the food at the main restaurant as we wouldn’t eat 3/4 of the options, however the snack bar was definitely the better option for lunch and you can order off a menu which makes a change to the usual buffet styles. We both caught gastroenteritis on the 3rd day which lasted 8 days, and as we had not eaten or drank outside of the hotel, I would say that this was definitely contracted by the food or the bottled water in our room. We went to the pharmacy across the road from the hotel and paid extortionate amounts for anti sickness/ anti diarreal/ buscopan and the pharmacist would also try and sell you additional products that you do not need. We paid nearly £35 for 3 products which we could have gotten from home for about £15, however we paid as we desperately needed them. Overpricing tourists was definitely a common theme in Egypt, we nearly got ripped off at the airport by the ‘EasyJet’ visa desk who wanted $35 each even when we pointed out that the signs say $25 each around the airport but he would not back down on price. We then went to the desk to the right side which we thought was a currency exchange to get more dollars, and the guy said he can do our visa for us for $25 and we had no issue getting through security.

Lovely Hotel - But be Please Aware of the Scamming Shops/Pharmacy Outside the Front
We stayed at the Iberotel Casa Del Mar for 7 days during June. The hotel is beautiful and quite central to the Hurghada strip when you walk out of the back entrance. We arrived quite late, our room wasn't ready but as we were hungry after a long day of traveling we went to the dining room and had some food while we waited. Once we were finished eating the room was ready, so no real issue there.

We had a deluxe double room, the room itself was nice although the balcony was extremely small and there was just about enough room for the table and chairs on it. The aircon was ok, but I would recommend leaving a card in the holder to have it on while you're away to keep the room cool. The food in the buffet was nice for each meal throughout the day, there was a varied selection and the waiters were very helpful. The pool area is nice during the day and relatively quiet - any activities that took place by the stage or in the pool by the reps were done in French.

So no issues with the hotel at all, but from the moment we arrived, the shops, the people and even the pharmacies will view you as a wallet that has sprouted legs and will overcharge you and try to hustle you at every given opportunity.

Naively, we got badly overcharged for sim cards from the phone shop opposite the front of the hotel called, "Interphone" and the man who owns it also owns the clothing shop beside it on the corner too. They charged us $2,600 (€50) for 2 Vodafone sims with what was supposed to have 25GB of data on them, if that wasn't bad enough they only put 18GB of data on the sims. I went back the next say to return them, Jaffa who owns the clothes shop said they are not thieves and will give me a full refund. His brother arrived was rude and refused the refund. I walked away due to being in a foreign country but please be aware that they are 2 thieves that prey on tourists to try and make a quick buck, please avoid their shops and save yourself the hassle.

If you need a sim card there's a shop out the back entrance from the hotel to the left as you walk out that do Orange 20GB sims for around €8-€10.

In saying that, I completely understand that people need to make money but being ridiculously overcharged continuously gets tiresome quick, so please be vigilant and be prepared to constantly haggle - even for medicine in the pharmacies - nothing is sacred.

Overall the hotel was lovely but please be aware of the hustling nature outside it. Check Amazon EG and other websites to get a rough estimate on the price of things and never take their first offer.

Entspannter Urlaub
Ich bin mit meinem Freund für 9 Tage in das Hotel verreist und wir waren beide positiv überrascht. Das Hotel, liegt sehr zentral vom Flughafen entfernt und hat direkt in der Nähe eine kilometerlange Einkaufsstraße, welche sehr schön angelegt ist. Das Essen im Hotel war für ägyptische Verhältnisse ziemlich abwechslungsreich und es war für jeden etwas mit dabei.
Die Mitarbeiter im Hotel waren stets bemüht, alles in ihrer Machtstehende zu tun, um uns einen schönen Urlaub zu bescheren. Schade ist gewesen, dass zum Teil die Shows nur auf Französisch statt auf Englisch gehalten worden sind (aufgrund der vielen französischen Urlauber), sodass wir und manch andere Urlauber leider nichts verstanden haben und dann nach kurzer Zeit die Abendshow wieder verlassen haben.
Ich kann das Hotel Leuten empfehlen, die sich in einer kleinen Hotelanlage wohlfühlen und sich entspannen wollen.

Excellent holiday from start to finish. Love Egyptian Hospitality
We have stayed at a lot of 4 & 5 star hotels, each one with positives and negatives. This hotel was fantastic from start to finish and I can’t really identify any negatives. From arrival to departure, we were well looked after by all the staff including waiters, bar staff, chefs, managers, guest relations and cleaners. The Magic animation team were fantastic, especially Moodey, Lisa and Amos, who went out of their way to engage guests in activities, despite the strong focus from the other animation teams on French guests. Food was great, with plenty of choice, it was always fresh, hot, replaced regularly with chefs continuously checking foods to ensure it was to a high standard. As someone who is coeliac, there was a great range of gluten free food and the executive chef went over and above even providing bespoke food when necessary. Waiters continually looked after us at each meal, while bar staff (both in hotel and at pool bars) were friendly, attentive and great fun. Special shout out to both Mustafa’s who really looked after us. Overall a great holiday, and a hotel I would gladly return to.

Hôtel top pour de belles vacances
Très bel hôtel qui mérite largement les 4 étoiles.
Tout est au top quand à l'emplacement, les installations, la restauration excellente et variée, de délicieux cocktails et la grande gentillesse du personnel . Une mention particulière pour Charlotte, responsable des relations clients qui a été aux petits soins pour ma fille et moi . Moi qui est d'un très mauvais anglais , c'était très rassurant d'avoir quelqu'un dans l'hôtel qui parle Français.
Que dire de plus que tout était parfait . S'il fallait trouver un point à améliorer , peu être là qualité du wifi....mais ce n'est pas la priorité lorsque l'on part en vacances.

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour, le personnel est agréable, la chambre était très belle et spacieuse et très bien entretenu par Ahmed qui est génial et d'une belle gentillesse.

Très bonnes vacances entre amis!!
Séjour entre amis parfait à l'Iberotel Casa Del Mar!!! de l'accueil en passant par le service aux clients et l'animation, tout y était parfait ! Nous reviendrons !!!
Dommage cependant que l'équipe d'animation Marmara qui vient de s'installer dans cet hôtel n'était pas au point cette semaine sur le lancement de la période été 2024.
On voulait remercier Ahmed de la réception qui nous a grandement aidé lors de notre premier jour d'installation en faisant preuve de grande réactivité et nous a changé rapidement de chambre suite au bruit que nous avons subis qui venait d'une rue avoisinante!!! Il nous a permis également de pouvoir garder notre chambre le dernier jour, ce qui nous a permis de ne pas être stressé pour notre départ!! Merci également aux serveurs Mina, Elsayed et Abdou pour leur gentillesse et toujours aux petits soins pour leurs clients, ainsi qu'à notre homme de ménage qui réalise un travail parfait pour ses hôtes!!!
Nous reviendrons!!!

Ganz in Ordnung
Hübsche kleine Anlage, nähe des Flughafens. Startende Flugzeuge hört man teilweise, je nach Windrichtung.
Das Hotel wird bei den Franzosen als Club Marmara vermarktet. Diese Gäste tragen ein andersfarbiges AI Band. Lärmende Klein-Gruppen mit ausschließlich französischer Animation, sowohl tagsüber als auch am Abend. Uns hat diese Tatsache sehr gestört, teilweise kam man sich wie in einem Cluburlaub vor.
Zimmer werden in einem Gebäude noch renoviert, dies hat man tagsüber an dem beheizten Pool gehört. Wir hatten ein renoviertes Zimmer das recht ansprechend war, allerdings hatte man das Bad dabei nicht auf dem Plan. Es wirkte teilweise an einigen Stellen etwas ungepflegt. Insbesondere am Glasfenster zur Toilette hin. Da hätte eine gründliche Reinigung Wunder gewirkt. Vielleicht wäre die Zeit die für die Handtuchdeko aufgewendet wurde, dafür geeignet. Ok. wir legen jetzt keinen gesteigerten Wert auf Handtuchtierchen, ect.
Das Angebot im Hauptrestaurant, sowie der Snackbar am Pool und am Strand hat uns geschmeckt. Es war vom Angebot überschaubar, aber sehr gut gewürzt und sehr appetitlich präsentiert.
Der Strand ist etwa fünf Gehminuten entfernt. Der Abschnitt des Iberotels ist sehr klein und liegt zwischen dem lebhaften Swiss Inn ( viele Gästen aus dem Ostblock) mit seiner teilweisen lauten Musikbeschallung und dem Jaz Casa del mar. Letzteres verfügt über gut die vierfache Strandlänge, genau wie das Swiss Inn. Wir haben uns im Nachhinein geärgert nicht doch das Jaz gebucht zu haben, denn diese Anlage machte einen sehr schönen weitläufigen Eindruck. Man kam sich schon ein wenig als Gast 2. Klasse vor, vor allen Dingen da die Snackbar des Iberotel am Strand winzig mit gerade mal ca. 8 Tischen ausgestattet war. Leider waren nur die Hälfte der Tische im Schatten der Markise, der Rest war der prallen Sonne ausgesetzt, in der Mittagszeit ( im April !!!) nicht zu ertragen.
Das Servicepersonal war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend, natürlich auch dem obligatorischen Tipp geschuldet.
Aber alle Angestellten waren nett und boten einen guten Service.
Im Moment wird in der Umgebung recht viel gebaut und auch abgerissen. Gegenüber des Iberotel Casa del Mar eine große Baustelle, die direkt an das Jaz Casa de Mar grenzt. Ebenso direkt neben dem Steigenberger Pure Lifestyle eine große Baustelle. Drumherum stehen einige Gebäude leer und werden renoviert.

Einladend! Sehr zu empfehlen ☀️
In diesem Hotel hatte ich einen durchweg angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Sauberkeit war gut, das Personal ständig verfügbar und durchgehend freundlich und hilfsbereit, was meinen Aufenthalt äußerst angenehm gestaltete.

Das Ambiente des Hotels ist hervorragend. Die Einrichtung und Gestaltung war einladend und ich fühlte mich rundum wohl.

Auch das ägyptische Buffet im Hotel bot eine vielfältige Auswahl authentischer Speisen.

Zusammenfassend kann ich dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen!

No es un hotel de 4*, NO TIENE WIFI solo en recepción, mala comida…
No volvería jamás a este hotel, para empezar no es todo incluido, es un pensión completa con bebidas (no zumos) hay snacks (pizza y bollerías) si quieres un helado tienes que pagarlo, si quieres un zumo también…
No tiene wifi, según ellos en la zona pública pero nada más allá de la realidad, no funciona bien cuando te alejas de la recepción… no hay en las habitaciones.
La playa esta a 5min caminando del hotel, hay que salir de este y entrar en el Jaz Casa del Mar Beach (que esta bastante mejor que el Resort por lo que vimos), allí tienes una zona delimitada para los del resort, no puedes mezclarte con el Beach.. por si acaso!
La comida… lo peor del hotel, siempre lo mismo con diferentes salsas, reutilizando la carne que sobra, super dura… el desayuno para llevar también super malo y cuando pido que me cambien la fruta por otra porqué soy alérgica me dice que me la quita y no me dan opción. La limpieza del restaurante muy mal.. las mesas siempre sucias, reutilizando las esterillas sin limpiarlas para todo el mundo, tenias que pedir que te limpiaran la mesa y lo hacían con un trapo seco… lo cual imaginaréis como estaba la mesa de pegajosa…
Los horarios de las comidas no daban margen a mucho… la cena hasta las 21:30…
El colchón y cojines super incomodos, muy duros… el cambio de toallas cada dos días y no cambiaron las sábanas en 2 semanas que estuvimos.
La televisión no había posibilidad de ponerla en otro idioma ni poner subtítulos…
Y por último el último día una de las animadoras me pidió que pusiera el Google maps y que pusiera 5 estrellas + un comentario de “vacaciones perfectas” para una reseña, la qual por supuesto no envié, pero si que leí comentarios de gente que decía que se lo habían hecho… por eso las 4’8 estrellas en Google.
El primer dia el check-in nos lo hizo un hombre muy desagradable, borde y que no nos quiso cambiar de habitación, ya que nos puso en una que estaba en una esquina del hotel y de la qual al salir por la puerta había unas vistas a unas ruinas… el check-out tardaron mucho en “revisar la habitación” para mirar que no hubiéramos cogido ninguna botella extra del minibar (que no entraba en el todo incluido, ni el agua). Te daban una botella por día.
NO LO RECOMIENDO A NADIE ESTE HOTEL… NO VOLVERIA Y SI HUBIERA PODIDO HUBIERA CAMBIADO SIN PENSARLO EL PRIMER DIA.
