Amazing!
What an unforgettable experience we had here! Even before you arrive at the camp, the adventure begins as you begin to see the abundant wildlife. The guides also serve as your transportation on the preserve so even your airport transport or transport to the spa is part of the safari.
The guides are incredible - so knowledgeable, so friendly, and always trying to make your experience better. It is obvious that they only have the best, most experienced guides here. We completed the big 5 within the first two game drives. In fact we saw all of them multiple times. But we were never bored - there was always something new to experience. The trucks are incredibly comfortable. And even though it was occasionally cold, they were ready with blankets and hot water bottles!
The service is impeccable - no request was ever met with no. In fact most of the time our needs were usually anticipated before we even had an opportunity to ask. Not once have I returned to my hotel room to find a bubble bath already drawn for me. It was nothing short of spectacular.
We enjoyed the quietness of the Buffalo Camp. It felt like an authentic bush experience without sacrificing any of the luxury.

My best Safari Experience
The staff and Safari were exceptional. Everyone felt welcomed. They were not only great with the guest but with each other as a team.

A perfect safari experience!
It’s hard to put in to words just how wonderful our experience at Kapama buffalo camp was. Most importantly, every single member of the team we encountered was warm, friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible! The camp is beautiful - being smaller it has an intimate, charming feel, and we were able to get to know the other guests and the team which was lovely. The “tent” was amazing - immaculately clean, spacious, and the freestanding bath was very luxurious! The food was all absolutely delicious with plenty of choice - and there was always a very generous, regular supply on offer! We felt we really had the best of both worlds by staying at Buffalo Camp, as we enjoyed the peace and charm of a smaller setting, but the team were also kind enough to facilitate day trips for us to River Lodge to enjoy the facilities on offer there at the gym and spa - we couldn’t have asked for more! In terms of the game drives themselves, they were better than anything we could have imagined! Our guides Themba and Brighton were kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions and full of fascinating information! They went above and beyond to give us incredible sightings and we are so grateful because those moments will stay with us for a lifetime! We saw all of the animals we had hoped to see, and plenty that we hadn’t expected too which was amazing! There were so many highlights but catching a nighttime stand-off between rhinos and lions was really unforgettable. I could not recommend Kapama buffalo lodge more highly and only wish we could go back!
