Perfect location
Perfect location. We were within walking distance to cafes, stores and restaurants. Hotel was clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. I would stay here again. The view is fantastic. Check in was seamless. The bar has a great view as well.

The lovely Hotel Neya - Porto
We spent 5 nights here in June to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a lovely modern hotel built into a very old building and has an obvious environmentally friendly feel to it.
There's a large restaurant on the ground floor and a 6th floor rooftop 'Sky bar' which we thought was magnificent (as were the views of the Douro) and had an ample bar menu which was a lovely (and slightly less 'fine-dining' alternative to their already great downstairs restaurant menu) The money shot though is the view out over the river and towards Vila Nova da Gaia district.
The hotel is a (tiny) bit out of the way (which was perfect for us) and about a 10 minute flat walk along the river to the main Ribeira district. The old tram goes straight past the hotel and the nearest stop is a stone's throw away if you prefer that option. Left to the town or right to Foz do Douro.
What was special for us was their acknowledgement of our special trip which absolutely blew us away and a wonderful hand-written note of congratulations.
Sometimes it's the little gestures that count and there was no shortfall in that customer service. So much so that we have already recommended friends to stay and there's no better endorsement than that.

Not disabled friendly and car charging is impractical
Pros - The bed, pillows and linens were magnificent. We slept really well except (see cons)
- The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful and always happy. Such nice people.
- The room was very quiet despite much celebration of guests during our visit
- There is no specifically disabled room however all rooms have grab bars in the bathroom and room for a wheelchair.
Cons
- The almost ceiling high wardrobe rail was hard to reach as a 5’4 person and impossible from a wheelchair
- shower stool provided after asking which was not terribly strong
- did not stop the water almost flooding the bathroom,
- there was only one place which was a small area by the door in which I could turn the wheelchair.
- the room was unbearably hot although it had aircon this made the room unbearably cold so night time was a juggle of getting up and down to get a sleepable temperature
- The car charging despite showing 11kw charging ability was not 11kw and also charged by the minute. This meant our car would take n excess of 48 hours to charge. We discussed this with the staff but, apparently, this part of the hotel is run by another company and it was unable to be resolved.
Despite all the cons we have given 3 stars as the staff were so lovely.

Charming and elegant

Comfortable and Beautiful Hotel
Very comfortable bed and luxurious-feeling suite. We loved the rooftop bar, our server Leticia was so friendly and went above and beyond! We don't usually spend much time at the hotel while traveling, but we couldn't resist spending time here when the views were so great!
