Minor Hotels Maldives - Implement Fuel Surcharge
As you are all aware, since earlier this year the global price of oil has been increasing significantly from what are considered historical norms. During this time our hotels have absorbed a more than 100% price increase for the diesel that the hotels purchase to create electricity across our Maldivian Island Hotels.We have now unfortunately reached the point that this is no longer a cost increase that we can continue to absorb into our business. As a result of this Minor Hotels have reluctantly taken decision to implement a $ 40 fuel surcharge per room per night for stays in any of our below hotels for all new bookings . When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. Wonderful food
The food, the service, the ambiance were all wonderful here. The unique meats and different flavors of afro-latin were a wonderful combination and something I had never had before. The different meats (alpaca, llama, warthog) were all delicious. Simba was knowledgable and friendly.

Brilliant and so memorable
We’ve visited tribal a few times over the years and enjoyed it every time, but our last time was the best of all our visits to this great restaurant! Served by the brilliant Taffy - one of the most sincere, professional and personable people we’ve met - we had the ceviche, goats cheese and the wild boar ribs. All of the dishes were so well prepared, fresh and just tasted incredible! Great setting in this place, and even when “busy” the pace of the meal was perfect. Recommend the Muga white Rioja with the dishes we had!! A truly memorable evening!

Such an amazing place!
This is one of those places that at first blush wouldn't seem so interesting until you follow he path back to what can only be described as a stunningly laid out space with individual "tents" that are perfectly well lit! The entire cooking staff went out of their way to make us gluten free meals. We were fortunate to have both Simba and James as our servers both times (they are AMAZING!) we ate there with Mac the sommelier coming by to ensure that our wine choices were perfect. Wonderful, wonderful experience!
