Enjoyed my stay
I stayed here last week for the Euros. The hotel is a little dated but it's pleasant and perfectly acceptable and only a shortish walk from the main rail station. The rooms are of a decent size and mine had a balcony (they may well all have). The breakfast is worth the expense and is preferable given the lack of alternatives in town - Gelsenkirchen doesn't have much to recommend itself but it's close to other cities, e.g. Dusseldorf. The best thing though are the beds and pillows: best night's sleep I've had in years.

Unsere Hotelwahl war leider ein Griff in die T….
Baulärm bis 17:30 Uhr und sogar Samstags ab 08:15 Uhr. Hotel insgesamt schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstück war OK, aber auch nichts außergewöhnliches. Bar im Keller war gut.

Von außen sieht das Hotel wie eine Bausünden aus. Das Hotel ist aber gepflegt und ordentlich, scheint jedoch optisch und von den Standards in den 80er hängen geblieben zu sein! 3 Punkte wegen Einrichtung, Optik und fehlender Klimatisierung auf den Zimmern.

Hotel mit Renovierungsstau
Dieses Hotel ist ein Relikt aus den 70igern. Seitdem ist noch nichts renoviert worden.
In meinem Zimmer schloss die Balkontür nicht richtig. 90% der Tür lag an dem Rahmen an 10% konnte man fast einen Daumen durch stecken. Das Fenster und die Balkontür waren ohne wärmedämmendes Glas(1 Scheibe). Der Teppichboden war abgelaufen und das Gewebe kommt langsam durch.Das Möbiliar war "Gelsenkirchener Barock" und schon arg abgegriffen. Die Betten waren gut . Die Matratzen ebenso. Leider funktionierte der Tresor nicht oder ich konnte es nicht. Auf jeden Fall war eine LED defekt im Display. Das Bad war mit Badewanne und Duschvorhang. Die Badewann war schon arg angegriffen. Die Mischbatterien war noch nicht ganz so alt. Der Duschvorhang fühlte sich immer zu mir hingezogen. Es war unangenhm.
Das Frühstück war ok. Preiswerte Aufbackbrötchen und was sonst auch Standart ist.
Ich war nur für eine Nacht in dem Hotel. Auf ein zweites Mal kann ich verzichten.

Verblaster Glanz.
Das Hotel wirkt aus der Zeit gefallen. Längst vergangenen Glanz kann man nur erahnen. Zimmer sauber. Restaurant am Wochenende geschlossen. Das Hotel bietet moderne Kommunikation zum Check in und out. Funktioniert aber teilweise nicht.

Sehr ernüchternde Erfahrung mit einem Hotel in dieser Preisklasse
Das Hotel macht gesamtheitlich einen Renovierungsbedürftigen Eindruck.
Die Einrichtung scheint aus den 90 Jahren zu sein.
Keine Hotelbar/Cocktailbar geöffnet.
12 € pro Tag für einen überfüllten Parkplatz empfinde ich bei den allgemeinen Preisen für die Zimmer deutlich übertrieben.

On Tour
Stayed here in June while doing a festival... Its a big old hotel that`s a little old fashioned but very nice, I really liked staying here. Excellent rooms with balconies and good beds. Bar is cool and breakfast was great. I left my vaping mod in the lounge and the manageress mailed it back to the UK for, brill staff.

Sufficiente
La struttura non è recentissima tuttavia si presenta funzionante e in ordine. Camere pulite con arredamento retrò ma comunque funzionali . Colazione continentale con buona scelta di prodotti. Senza troppi fronzoli . Personale gentile e professionale . Ok per viaggi di lavoro .

Reasonable Hotel but dated
Stayed at this hotel on recent business trip. I got a really big room with separate bedroom area and living area with sofa with two large screen TVs one in each area. There was a good choice at breakfast but I didn’t eat evening meal there. The WiFi was free and of reasonable speed. The parking was 10 EUR per night. Hotel staff where very nice but the hotel is a little dated and in need of some modernisation.

Comfortable and with good food
We stayed for one night with a party of tourists on a coach holiday. Our party was offered a welcome drink before the evening meal. The evening meal was excellent with a salad buffet, cream of potato soup, and several main courses again on a buffet, with a good choice of vegetables. There was a choice of dessert and cheese and biscuits available. The hotel does not provide jugs of tap water on the table in the dining room, which English people prefer. The bedroom was clean and nicely furnished. Wi-fi is available too. There was a very comprehensive buffet breakfast.

Short stay but comfortable
First impressions are that this is quite a dated hotel. However the staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are pleasant and comfortable and breakfast was plentiful.

I had a room on the 10th directly next to the lifts but noise was not an issue.
My room had a balcony which was nice in the morning sunshine.

I was surprised that the bar/restaurant had stopped serving food before 10pm after a late flight arrival.

I would stay here again as the price is very reasonable.

Bon hôtel
D'extérieur, celui-ci ne rend pas forcément trop bien. Le parking est payant, 10 euros la nuit, l'avantage est qu'il ne faut pas chercher de place pour ce garer en rue. Le personnel est très sympathique, les chambres bien confortables, literie parfaite, piscine, sauna. Petit-déjeuner super fourni et super bon, il y en a pour tout les goûts.
Seule chose si l'on veut trouver quelque chose à dire est que l'on voit que cet établissement a déjà vécu. Un peu coup de rafraîchissement ne serait pas de refus mais cela reste seulement du visuel.

Bon Hotel à rafraîchir
J'ai passé deux nuits très reposantes (calme), le confort est suffisant, mais la déco est à rafraîchir (moquette élimée, tentures vieillottes, peinture des portes écaillée, mobilier abîmé). De plus, le châssis fermait mal et j'ai dû pousser le chauffage au maximum pour ne pas geler en sortant de la douche.
Pas de vrai restaurant pour le soir, mais un "pub" à la carte bien maigre. Le personnel est aimable et efficace.
Le buffet petit déjeuner est bien fourni, mais cher.

Petit déjeuner époustoufflant, piscine, sauna, et chambre confortable
Hôtel encadré d'un magnifique parc, chambre très confortable, très bonne litterie, très propre avec balcon, accès à la piscine et le sauna de l'hôtel, et petit déjeuner époustoufflant! J'ai eu la chance de pouvoir déjeuner au champagne allemand, très bonnes viennoiseries, jus de fruits de la marque granini (pas de jus en poudre), Petites attentions vous attendent sur votre oreiller à votre arrivée.

Très bon hôtel
Chambres très confortables et parfaitement équipées. Cadre très agréable, au bord d'un étang. Excellent petit-déjeuner très varié qui mérite son prix. Personnel très aimable. Le seul point négatif est le prix du parking (10 euros par jour).

Buen hotel pero anticuado
Se nota que en su momento fue un gran hotel, pero ya se ha quedado anticuado. Aunque ya cambiaron las teles de tubo (que se ven en algunas fotos), pero se sigue viendo viejecillo, sobre todo en los baños, y la fachada está muy descuidada.

Por otro lado la atención del personal es muy buena, siempre amables y sonrientes.
Tiene 3 ascensores para los 15 pisos y la verdad que son muy rápidos.

El restaurante está bien, aunque considero que es demasiado caro. El desayuno correcto para un hotel de esta categoría, aunque me parece muy caro (me dijeron que eran 20€).

Como punto negativo, el aislamiento. Las ventanas son de papel de fumar y los marcos de madera. En frente tiene un parque precioso (el restaurante tiene vistas a él) con muchos animales, y en cuanto sale el sol a las 5 de la mañana, parece que estás en medio del lago del parque del ruido de los animales que se cuela en la habitación (y eso en el piso 15...).

Bueno con salvedades
Un gran hotel. Algo envejecido. Algo sucio que puesto en España no pasaría de 3 estrellas... Pero eso es Alemania y por lo que tengo entendido (ya que no soy habitual del país) está en la línea de lo esperado. Me sorprendió la cama al llegar... Un simple relleno nórdico doblado sin mas... También habitual... El entorno precioso. La comida también muy buena. El trato amable.

Calidad/precio bien
Hotel muy grande, bien ubicado y con parking de pago.

La habitación era amplia y limpia, pero se notaba ya tenia años y necesitaba una renovación, también es cierto que el precio es adecuado.

El personal de recepción fue muy agradable y atento.

Un Hotel muy antiguo, que no ha tenido muchas remodelaciones ni mejoras hace años. Las habitaciones huelen a viejo, y en algunas la calefacción es nula. La atención es buena, pero los horarios del Restaurant es pésima. El desayuno muy rico y variado.

Calme, agréable mais 18 € le petit-déjeuner !
Au cœur d'un parc très agréable, j'ai passé 2 nuits très calmes. La chambre est confortable mais au look très standard. Le hic vient du petit déjeuner. Beau buffet, très complet, avec du thé haut de gamme mais 18 euros .... c'est abusif !!

un po' vecchio e non troppo pulito (!)
Ho soggiornato qui dal 14 al 17 aprile 2015, stanza 316.

La struttura non è di recente costruzione e si vede, la sua posizione è abbastanza decentrata e immersa in una zona residenziale che non offre molte risorse. Non vi è per esempio nessun ristorante o altro locale nelle vicinanze.

Il personale è davvero molto gentile e disponibile.

Camera spaziosa e confortevole. TV a tubo catodico, peccato non vi sia il bollitore.
Frigobar e cassaforte.
Bagno pulito, non altrettanto le superfici della camera, e questo toglie una stellina.
C'è il Phon.
Letto comodo. Sonno buono.

Quando sono stato io la piscina era fuori uso e ho frequentato solo la grande sauna, nella quale, ovviamente , è vietato indossare alcunché. Chiedete alla reception un asciugamano in più perché nello spogliatoio della sauna non ce ne sono.

Buona la colazione, che accontenta soprattutto chi ama il salato. Diverse varietà di tè.
Sala ampia comoda luminosa e con una bella vista sul prospiciente laghetto.
Purtroppo però l'ambiente è sottodimensionato e nele ore di punta sarete costretti a dividere il tavolo con altri ospiti dell'albergo. Non aspettatevi però che il personale di sala vi faciliti nella sistemazione.

WiFi gratis in tutto l’hotel.

Se possibile, la prossima volta valuterò delle alternative.

Our hotel was opened 1972 and we can not deny the style of the mid-1970s, but it is located right next to the city gardens and close to the city centre.
A few restaurants are just in walking distance. We really regret the fact that the pool was closed. Bath towels are available at any time at the reception.
We do not store them in the pool or sauna range because this area ist not used exclusively by hotel guests. We ask for your understanding.

In futuro cercherò altre sistemazioni
Ho trascorso tre notti per affari in questo hotel e in futuro cercherò di evitarlo. La camera è piccola, letto singolo in un angolo, con un piumone scomodo. La moquette e la tapezzeria mostrano tutta la loro età. Il wifi non è incluso nel prezzo, bisogna fare un contratto direttamente con Telekom! In camera non ci sono nè il bollitore per tè/caffè, nè una bottiglietta d'acqua di benvenuto: in un albergo 4 stelle ci si potrebbe aspettare qualcosa di più.
La colazione a buffet è buona, ma il sovraprezzo è molto alto, soprattutto se si considera che anche il prezzo della camera non è economico. Anche il parcheggio è a pagamento.

Niente di particolare
Ho soggiornato presso la struttura per motivi di lavoro.
Niente di particolare trattasi di una buona struttura considerato che è un 4 stelle.
Pulito e decoroso ...certo un tantino caro per quello che offre.
Colazione ben assortita e variegata.
Zona relax con piscina, carina, e sauna.
Non ho provato il ristorante.
