What types of beds will I find in the room I booked?The type of bed is usually specified in the room sheet. If you have any special requests or needs you can indicate them at the time of booking by writing them in the "special requests" field which will be forwarded directly to the property. In this process MeTour is not responsible.
- What is Paga in Structural and what are Payment Pre-Authorisations?
When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. In these cases you will simply be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the booking, but without any charge. The sum will be taken from your credit card only in the cases provided for by the policies and conditions relating to your booking. In other cases, when the Partner does not adopt automatic availability and booking systems, but confirms reservations "manually", then you will be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the reservation, and then be directly charged at the same time as the Partner confirms the booking (within 24-48 hours). At that moment you will receive an email with the booking confirmation and payment.

How do I know if my card has been pre-authorized?By consulting your credit card balance you will see that your available balance will be temporarily reduced by the amount of your booking. In other cases and depending on the policy of your credit card circuit, you may also find an entry in the monthly summary of card movements: "pending operation". The pre-authorization block, depending on the situation, will be maintained according to the policies and terms and conditions of what has been booked.

A simple, safe, no-frills hotel for the experienced Indian traveler.
The hotel is centralized to most tourist locations in Mumbai (Gateway of India, the Taj Hotel, cricket grounds, Fashion Street, railway station, Café Leopold) including cafes, restaurants, Starbucks Reserve, Burger King and McDonald's. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, the buffet breakfast had a wide variety of both Western and Indian foods, and they had a varied room service menu (the butter chicken, okra, and roti were amazing!)
It should be noted that although this hotel is extremely clean and safe with a 24-hour manned front desk, it's an old building in an older part of the city where there's some small businesses but it's now mostly residential. Not to mention that unfortunately as of November 2023, there is extensive roadway construction outside (not sure if that's still taking place). This is NOT a grand, luxurious Western hotel, but it also doesn't NEED to be. The staff constantly are offering water, coffee, tea, fresh juices, newspapers, maps, tour guides, and if they don't have what you need, they will find it for you. They also know the safest drivers, tour guides, and places to eat locally.
The rooms were clean, basic, had toiletries (Dove brand), and supplied guests with unlimited bottled water. Because of the more "side street" location plus the construction, this is better for people from India who speak the languages, Western backpackers, people who have previously traveled to India and are okay with crowds and noise, or those who are only using the room to sleep and then take a car to the airport.
The rooms are extremely small for two people, and we had to keep our suitcases closed the entire time. I would not recommend this hotel for those with children, babies, those with specific medical needs, or wheelchair access (they have an elevator, but it's very small). However, if you're fine with a no-frills room that you're just using to shower, change, and sleep, it's perfectly fine. We were able to walk to the Taj Hotel, the waterfront, the Arch, and along side streets to buy souvenirs and snacks during the day.
The staff and owners truly take pride in their work and care about people having a good time during their stay. Their enthusiasm and kindness really helped during our check-in, check-out and stay. We also utilized them for picking us up from the airport. Make sure to have cash to tip the drivers and people carrying your luggage. They work HARD for their money. If you want to stay in an older building and see what "real" India is like, then stay here. The lobby is manned 24 hours a day and also has security cameras. I did not feel unsafe in this hotel at all.

スタッフの皆さん親切で気が利いて、インド滞在中で久々のストレスフリーな日々でした!朝食は正直期待していませんでしたが、実際にはワッフルとオムレツが美味しすぎてもう既に恋しいです…清掃もバッチリで、毎日500mlと250ml(?)の水が補充されてたのが嬉しいポイントでした。トイレとシャワールームが仕切られているのも良いです。
フロントでおすすめされたツアーも大満足でした!!この旅のハイライトです。入り口にはいつも猫がいて、癒されます。立地に関しても、どこへ行くにも便利です。

Great hospitality and cozy vibes
This hotel exceeded my expectations with great hospitality. The breakfast selection was both plentiful and tasty, setting the tone for a great day. I love the omelette. The lounge was inviting, with comfortable seating and a warm atmosphere that made it a perfect place to unwind. I’ll definitely be back! ありがとうございました😊

Great stay with amazing staff
The hotel exceed expectations. It’s less than 10 mins to all the major tourist sites in the fort area. The hotel has three buildings and we stayed the in 2nd which was well designed, had a four poster bed and was immaculately clean. The service was some of the best we’ve ever experienced, Gopal the concierge could not do enough for us. My wife had a work meeting and was nervous about the internet speed. Gopal made a call and had the speed doubled, he arranged laundry, went shopping for us etc. The breakfast team recognised we missed breakfast one morning after watching the 2024 euros until 2am and made a huge effort to ensure we ate. Breakfast was great overall but didn’t really have western options beyond fruit and eggs. (Which is fine you’ll be in India)
The area the hotel is in isn’t the best, it’s run down, dirty and off putting but you’ll be getting 5 star service at 3 star prices. We did find an amazing restaurant just around the corner called Pratap we highly recommend. We also booked a tour from the hotel which was exceptional. We’ll be back when we’re next in Mumbai.

Incredible India because of my incredible experience at Hotel Residency Fort
Incredible experience at Hotel Residency Fort. It is the perfect family hotel. The rooms are clean, the food is delicious and above all the hospitality is incomparable. The staffs treat you as family members and ensure that your stay becomes memorable. I am grateful to Gopal sir, Kesar Bhaiya, Patil Ji and all staffs of the hotel who have always been treating us so well.
