When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. In these cases you will simply be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the booking, but without any charge. The sum will be taken from your credit card only in the cases provided for by the policies and conditions relating to your booking. Hotel meet above my expectations, location, service and cleanliness all are excellent. Particularly staff behavior are to good. Whenever I was request something, staff responded promptly.

Excellent stay
Excellent stay indeed. The location of this hotel is wonderful, just next to Observatory View Point at the Mall Road in Darjeeling. From the Observatory View Point Kanchanjangha is just awesome from Sunrise to Sunset; visiting Tiger Hill early in the morning would have same views. From the terrace of Summit Oakden Kanchanjangha is just like viewing from Observatory View Point or Tiger Hill.
As we had the mountain view room, from the bed itself Kanchanjangha was visible with all the Majestic look we are waiting for!
Room was very good with all amenities; warm reception with smiles, hot darjeeling tea and Summit Oakden Uttaria was just heart warming!
All the staffs are excellent; restaurant manager was very helpful for the guests (sorry, I forgot his good name!)
Last but very important is food in Summit Oakden; food is very tasty and healthy. However I thought other than wonderful Momos and super Thukpa, menu should have few more Nepali Veg and Non-veg dishes.

Good Stay
Good hotel but can be better in terms of maintenance. Rooms have some damp smell probably due due to walls which always felt wet. However, room and bathroom was clean. Food is quite decent and team members are hospitable.
The best part of the hotel was the terrace from where you can see Kanchanjangha on clear sunny days.
One small glitch, we were checked into a dirty room but same was immediately been done. Although we didn’t make any issue out of it but expected some acknowledgment which we didn’t receive.
Overall stay was quite fine.

Good location, clean rooms, average food quality
Location wise very good. Full view of Kanchenjunga from premium rooms. Resort is clean and well maintained. Hot water Available all day long and they also provided complimentary room heater. Staff is cordial and always at your service.
Food quality can be better, some food were very blant in taste and the price for ala carte is exorbitant. So its better to pre book dinner and breakfast with room booking if planning to avail the restaurant.
