- What is Paga in Structural and what are Payment Pre-Authorisations?
When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. In these cases you will simply be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the booking, but without any charge. The sum will be taken from your credit card only in the cases provided for by the policies and conditions relating to your booking. In other cases, when the Partner does not adopt automatic availability and booking systems, but confirms reservations "manually", then you will be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the reservation, and then be directly charged at the same time as the Partner confirms the booking (within 24-48 hours). At that moment you will receive an email with the booking confirmation and payment.

How do I know if my card has been pre-authorized?By consulting your credit card balance you will see that your available balance will be temporarily reduced by the amount of your booking. Great getaway close to Abu dhabi
Great place to bring guests foe fun in the desert. The quad bikes were fun and we loved lounging by the pool. We brought family from overseas they had a great time. Bellydancing was wonderful. The pool is perfectly situated and the entertainment was fun.

A piece of paradise in the middle of no where. A great place to calm down and being away from daily stress .
Very recommendable if you are looking for some peace and quietness. No matter solo, in group or with family, staff read the wish in your eyes. I can’t imagine not visit this hotel again and over and over again . Since opening time 12 years ago

A nice, quiet staycation!
We had a short staycation at the Tilal Liwa Hotel on the nights of the 8th and 9th of December.
Given the short duration of the stay, a couple of highlights certainly made the experience of the hotel and Abu Dhabi worthwhile.
1. The hotel staff were warm and approachable. Notable mentions are Hady, the senior manager who upgraded us to half-board while the original package included only breakfast. The head chef Vijay, made sure that vegetarian and Indian options were available for us by making many customised dishes! Dixshan, Billy, Constantine, Koshila and Eugene; were all accomodating and friendly.
2. The experience of the Quad biking was a lot of fun. There were separate packages for 15min (50 AED), 30 min (90 AED) and 1 hour (130 AED) provided. Given the great weather in the December period, would certainly recommend the 30 minutes or 1 hour (if not too long for you!) package. The Dune Bashing organised by Liwa Adventures (Basith) was also a fantastic experience altogether, along with visting the Moreeb dunes and Camel farm.
3. Temperature controlled pool: This was definitely a highlight with the desert in the backdrop and interesting lighting system.
4. The outdoor seating area near the pool, where the belly dancing, Christmas buffet and singing sessions were held. The events were entertaining, and the enthusiasm of both the belly dancer and singer performances are to be noted.
5. The 'secret garden'; this is something definitely to be explored! It consists of a small pond, hammock and a bench were one can sit. I spent a lot of the early morning sitting on the hammock there!
Suggestions for additional improvements:
1. The housekeeping service proactiveness has a lot of room to improve. The responses to getting in touch with housekeeping or additional towels/ water in the room took a large amount of delay before being delivered.
2. Diversification in Asian/vegetarian food options. While the quality and taste of the food is already very good , the number of vegetarian/asian options present in the buffet can be increased to cater to a wider ambience.
All in all, the stay was a pleasant and memorable one!

Overpromises and underdelivers
This hotel’s glory days seem to be behind it. A lot of the advertised amenities are simply not there. Telescope for stargazing? Broken by other guests, too expensive to replace. Spa? The massage therapist quit, no replacement found. The sauna and hamam are there but turned off and the spa/gyn area is unattended, so if you can operate them yourself, that’s fine, if not… Joining the desert trips with your personal 4x4 - not an option anymore. The service is now outsourced and you can only go dune bashing in a car owned by a business for 1800AED… Camels? They were nowhere to be seen.
The food was a hit and miss. Breakfast was generally good, the Egyptian chef makes good omelettes though the hotel might consider buying him two new non-stick pans, not such a splurge given the nightly rates they charge. The lunch buffet was ok, we had yummy lamb ouzi both days. Deserts were boring. If you don’t drink alcohol, the all-inclusive option is kind of meager - 2 virgin cocktails (a piña colada and some tropical mix), virgin mojito was chargeable, that is on the days they had mint at all. The snacks next to the pool in the afternoon were quite disappointing in both variety and quality. We had the buffet dinner the first night - now that was worse than my child’s school canteen as per his (and our) assessment. The next night despite being on the AI plan, we went for the desert BBQ. We paid 450AED extra but that was worth every penny! Grilling the marinated variety of meat options was a real delight for all senses.
The evening entertainment - excellent musical choices by the DJ turned also live singer - he wasn’t a Sinatra but he tried hard. Now the Russian belly dancer - she’s something else. This lady have her all at every appearance (3 per night) no matter how scarce or bored or drunk her audience was. Hats off to her work ethic and her skill.
The day activities - quad riding was a thrill even if they were not very powerful (for an area you don’t know they were good enough and probably preventing some serious accidents that could occur with more powerful engines). Ping pong, billiards, chess and babyfoot tables by the pool - really good family fun.
The highlight of the place - the climate controlled pool. The noise level - lots of loud kids during the morning, plenty of loud drunkards in the evening - 1 to 3 pm when all that crowd is gone for lunch would be your best chance for a blissful relaxing moment.
Will we be coming back? Unlikely. Special thanks to staff member Lama (I hope I got his name right) from Nepal for making up for some of the disappointments with his impeccable service.

The highlight of the place - the climate controlled pool. The noise level - lots of loud kids during the morning, plenty of loud drunkards in the evening - 1 to 3 pm when all that crowd is gone for lunch would be your best chance for a blissful relaxing moment.
Will we be coming back? Unlikely. Special thanks to staff member Lama (I hope I got his name right) from Nepal for making up for some of the disappointments with his impeccable service.

Nice place and very clean
Well maintained with friendly staff. I would recommend all my friends and families. It would be great if more asian food choices available. Little far but still prefer the place. Very calm and quiet. Thanks
