Disappointing stay. Terrible housekeeping
For a 4 star hotel that costed $280 USD per night, the housekeeping services are disappointing. The remaining services are unremarkable at best. Problems were solved, but there were many problems and occurred every single day of our stay. It is difficult to recommend this stay.
The disappointment started as soon as we arrived. We paid our fees online but the resort fees were due on arrival. We wanted to pay cash for the resort fee and the deposit by credit card as we pay a foreign conversion fee for any credit card payments. The amount was approximately $129. We paid with $150 in bills. We were told that they “dont have change because they don’t usually take cash”. They did accept the cash though with a caveat that they have to arrange for cash change for us. We did eventually get $20 back with no mentions on the small amount of spare change.
Upon reaching our room. We have no idea what the wifi password is. I had to call the front desk to ask for it. Even 2-3 star hotels know to inform their customers about these if it wasn’t written somewhere obvious.
Then comes day 2, we went for breakfast and a walk from 9 am to 2pm, only to come back and found that our room was not cleaned yet. We saw the housekeeper with their cart and material next door doing housekeeping as we left the home at around 9am.
We then received a knock from the housekeeper, asking if we need cleaning. What an inconvenience. We just came back and now we need to leave again? This isn’t the service we expect at a 4 star hotel. We went to the pool. It was decent but I was too sleepy to really enjoy it. I would rather stay in the room at 2pm.
After cleaning, we noticed that the water bottles (cheap plastic water bottles) were not replaced. One of the bottle were empty and the housekeeper took it away. After calling front desk, we were told that the water bottles were provided at check in only. If we wanted more water, we would have to refill ourselves at reception. That’s fine. Except the housekeeper took one of our bottles. Front desk eventually gave us another bottle of water and showed us where to refill water. That was very nice of her. In order to get to the refill area, which really is a drinking fountain, you would have to enter the elevator, press “1R”, and the elevator back door would open into an accessible area.
At a 4-star hotel you would expect these to be clearly communicated. Nothing wrong with having to refill. We very much enjoyed another hotel which provided light metallic lined bottle with filtered water station located at prominent places at the lobby. When we notice water bottle missing, we naturally expected new bottles.
On day 3, we went out again from 9am to 2:30pm. Our place was cleaned. Thankfully. It was only until later that I needed to wash my hair before heading out again that I realized our towel was folded but wrinkly. It looked like they were picked up from the floor and folded up. See pictures. I have a video opening a second towel, but Tripadvisor won’t let me post videos. See photo and judge for yourself. Not to mention, this place gives you one face towel and one hand towel for 2 people stay. I guess we can share like it’s a low class hotel.
At checkout we were asked about our seat, I reflected the housekeeping issues. I was told of management does anything they would let us know. I will update this post if I receive any correspondence beyond a general sorry we’ll improve.

Not very good experience for honeymoon trip
This was supposed to be our honeymoon trip, but we didn’t have a good experience at the hotel due to issues with the housekeeping service and front desk.
I will list the reasons why:
The front desk didn’t explain where to refill the water bottles, provide the Wi-Fi information, or inform us that there would be no complimentary water bottles provided daily.
Basic amenities such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, hair conditioner, hair nets, slippers, and pajamas were not provided, which made the stay feel less homey.
The housekeeper knocked on our door to clean even though we had been outside for 5 hours. We had to leave for a while and then come back again.
We noticed the towels were dirty (wrinkly), and the housekeeper didn’t replace them with clean ones, which was disappointing.
The disposable cups were dirty; we found an eyelash on one of them when we returned after the cleaning.
The house cleaner took our water bottle, so we had to ask the front desk for another one.

Beautiful stay
We booked Uma House as part of our honeymoon trip and it was nothing short of amazing. We had originally planned 2 nights but last minute changed to 4 nights - we are so glad we did. The staff are so helpful and friendly, our room was beautiful. We had a spacious room which was immaculately clean and a bed that was one of the most comfortable we've ever stayed in. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great during our stay but the hotel staff were great offering ideas of things we could do. We headed to the Dolphin Mall one day and our phones received a flood alert while there, this is something we had never encountered before and so contacted our hotel for advice. They got back to us promptly and were incredibly professional. We absolutely loved our stay, the location is perfect - only a 3min walk to the beach, there's lots of restaurants and shops around the hotel. The rooftop pool is beautiful and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return here when visiting Miami again!

Amazing!
Great value for money. Big, spacious rooms and a beautiful pool and terrace area! Staff were particularly friendly and always readily available to help out. I especially liked the wine o’clock experience they set up daily at the rooftop. Will come again!
