A fabulous experience in this delightful hotel
We absolutely loved this hotel- probably the best city hotel we stayed in throughout our trip to Chile, Bolivia and Peru. The minute you walk through the door you feel at home in this beautiful former mansion. We were told the owners rescued it from its dilapidated state and they’ve done a fantastic job. Everything is in keeping with the period of the house and both the public areas and the rooms contain interesting articles such as antique leather suitcases, old birdcages, traditional indigenous artefacts etc. The manager gave us such a warm welcome and all the staff were delightful. For breakfast you sit round a big square table with 4 or 5 other guest which is a nice opportunity to share travellers’ tales and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. You can ask for any cooked breakfast you like or if you prefer you can choose a continental breakfast including delicious fresh fruit . The hotel is in a cool boho area of Lima with very nice cafes and restaurants nearby and beautiful colonial houses - some of them the mansions of the many mining millionaires who from the late 19th century made their fortunes. A fabulous experience all round and we wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights.

Schöne Zeit, leider zu kurz
Wir wurden herzlichst begrüßt und haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt, denn nach dem langen Flug waren wir doch erledigt.
Das Zimmer im Erdgeschoß war nicht gerade groß, aber ausreichend und die Türen in den Garten konnten wir offen lassen, da das Haus gut gesichert ist. Unserem Wunsch nach zwei Bettdecken, unüblich in Peru, wurde unverzüglich nachgekommen. Zimmer zudem absolut Sauber, wie das gesamte Hotel.
Die tolle Lage im Stadtteil Barranco war für uns ideal, denn auch zu Fuß konnten Restaurants und das Shoppingcenter Larcomar über die Promenade erreicht werden. Das Hotel kann auch Fahrräder zur Verfügung stellen, leider hatten die reservierten Fahrräder fast platte Reifen, so dass wir zu Fuß gegangen sind.
Das Frühstück draußen auf der Terrasse war ein Genuss - aber Achtung, auch die Vögel wissen die Leckereien sehr zu schätzen.

Very nice for a Boutique Hotel
Security is tight here, can't just walk in you need to ring the bell on the street and you will be let in. It's a type of Bohemian area and up and coming, I liked it but my husband not keen on Boutique type hotels. We had a Garden Room with the french doors opening out, but didn't chance leaving them open whilst sleeping so no fresh air from a window? Shower room and toilet was massive, lots of wasted space, but it was different. Breakfast was fabulous with a massive blueberry cake in the middle of the table, delicious. Enjoyed this hotel in this different area of Barranco in Lima.

Lovely hotel in a charming neighborhood.
Villa Barranco is a Beautiful boutique hotel in a renovated manor. The breakfast was included with the room rate and featured excellent tropical fruit. The hotel staff was extremely helpful when we needed to make last minute changes to our trip.

Fantastic little place
This is an unassuming place from the outside, but does it pack a punch once you get through the door. The staff are super helpful, the rooms are massive, the view from the roof terrace is fantastic and the breakfast is good. There's only about 10 rooms here and it was full for all the time we were there, so book early!
