What types of beds will I find in the room I booked?The type of bed is usually specified in the room sheet. - What is Paga in Structural and what are Payment Pre-Authorisations?
When you book, some facilities offer the possibility of paying directly at the facility. In these cases you will simply be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the booking, but without any charge. The sum will be taken from your credit card only in the cases provided for by the policies and conditions relating to your booking. In other cases, when the Partner does not adopt automatic availability and booking systems, but confirms reservations "manually", then you will be asked to insert your credit (or debit) card to guarantee the reservation, and then be directly charged at the same time as the Partner confirms the booking (within 24-48 hours). At that moment you will receive an email with the booking confirmation and payment.

How do I know if my card has been pre-authorized?By consulting your credit card balance you will see that your available balance will be temporarily reduced by the amount of your booking. In other cases and depending on the policy of your credit card circuit, you may also find an entry in the monthly summary of card movements: "pending operation". A great first AI beach holiday experience
This hotel was recommended by a friend and seemed to tick all our boxes for our first AI holiday. We had a 2 bedroom family suite which was ideal and perfect for our needs. Check in was easy and all the staff were brilliant, always engaging with our son which made him feel special.
We did get entertainment noise from the hotel next door but luckily it stopped by about 11pm each night so not too much disturbance.
The pools are great, and 2 family ones were heated which was a godsend as the unheated pool was too cold to use. Shame as it was the biggest but always empty.
We did get hassled on the first couple of days by the spa and boat trip reps but it died down.
we loved the foam party on the beach, but the evening entertainment could have been more varied. There were some really late beach parties, starting at 11.30pm, but most people were there with kids so not really something we could stay up for. In half terms maybe change the program to accommodate this?
The food was good although my fussy eaters struggled with lunch and dinner. It would be good to have more ice cream/snack options during the day and not just the same 2 flavours of ice cream in a tiny tub.
The booking of the a la carte restaurants was a bit of a pain as I wasn't told at check in that this was booked via a QR code in the lobby so when I found out 2 days later, it said there was no availability for the rest of our stay at any time! Luckily the guest services person sorted it, and when we went, there were loads of tables.
There are few English guests, most are Russian which is fine, although you need to understand they don't have the same queuing/respect as we do. All the staff spoke Russian to us, assuming we were, and the kids disco was conducted in Russian first.
Some of the activities listed on the entertainment schedule didn't seem to run (the carnival pool party last week), which was disappointing as we'd told the kids about the free candy floss and then nothing happened. I think the entertainment needs to be updated each week for guests as 2 things didn't go ahead, and a couple of evening entertainments changed - i.e one was supposed to be acrobatics which we looked forward to but ended up being latin dancing.
Checkout was smooth and we could keep our towel cards etc until we left so we made the most of the last day.
It advertised free snorkelling; but you had to pay to hire snorkel masks so I felt this was misleading. If we had known there was a charge, we would have brought our own from home.
We did a boat trip via Falcon Adventures that was recommended on Facebook and was half the price of the company based at the hotel.
We had an earthquake on Thursday which was scary for us, but there was no communication about it afterwards - I thought they might have emailed guests or the staff asked if people were ok as it was quite strong and unexpected.
Generally it was a great first 'beach holiday' stay. They advertised it would be 'ultra all inclusive' from 1st November; I'd be interested to know what this means?

Amazing time at Sultan Gardens
We had lovely time at Sultan Gardens. Stayed for 8 nights. Family of five, we were given room 609. Its a connecting family room. It was conveniently close to pools and bar. Beautiful beach. They have shuttle bus to go around the hotel which is very handy. Plenty of fun things to do. We were all inclusive so plenty of food and drinks available. First time in Egypt and certainly wont be the last! Will definitely come back to stay here again. Friendly staff all around. Ar-Rahman in Linah Restaurant was exceptional! After my first day there, he knew exactly which drink to make me and was ready as soon as i went in. Hajar is very welcoming. All the pool staff were friendly too. Eid at reception was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Another staff at the reception put together a food goodie bag on the day of our excursion within half an hour of ringing him. The Office Manager was friendly and had nice chat with him.

House of Spice at the Sultan Gardens was amazing as was the whole hotel.
Had a great 7 night stay at the Sultan gardens. Great hotel/resort, very clean with staff eager to please and make the stay pleasurable. The Indian restaurant, House of Spice with chef Anil Kumar making some great dishes. A great highlight.
