Caratteristica casa vacanze immersa nella campagna toscana e due passi da San Gimignano e Volterra... Panorami bellissimi...appartamenti forniti di tutto il necessario (pay TV inclusa)...personale gentilissimo nei modi e nella disponibilità...

The photos of this farmhouse don't do it justice: it is just gorgeous.
The farmhouse is tucked away in a tiny hamlet which has some surprising amenities including a small supermarket/deli and excellent restaurant. Being on a hillside, the views are spectacular across a typical Tuscan landscape. You can see for miles and the lighting changes the view every few hours. It is brilliantly located for visiting the best bits of Tuscany including San Gimignano (20 minutes), Siena (40 minutes), Volterra (30 minutes) a perfect example of a Tuscan village with local as well as visitor appeal and of course Pisa and Florence. We stayed in a three-bedded villa, which while connected to two others, had its own entrance, patio/terrace area and was well sound-proofed. The layout is a little quirky with a cosy living room and extra bathroom upstairs and the main living/sleeping rooms downstairs. The rooms are all beautifully and tastefully furnished and decorated in a simple and elegant style. All equipment etc provided is of the same style and includes both bath and pool towels. A salad bowl or two were the only things we found to be missing, somewhat surprisingly. The gardens are a delight and the swimming pool is clean and well-maintained. The owner, Cinzia, is lovely. Nothing is too much trouble, she speaks great English and is very welcoming. Your own vehicle, is, of course, a must. Driving around the area is mostly on very narrow roads and lanes but the slow speed required to navigate these adds to the relaxing appeal of the area. Overall it was a perfect, but far too short break and highly recommended for multi-generational families and couples alike.

Beautiful location, fantastic hostess!
My wife, two girls and I stayed here in July 2017. The apartment was lovely and the amenities great. The swimming pool was perfect and our children (4&6) loved the freedom that the grounds gave them. We hired a car and drove to Sienna, San Gimignano, Florence and a couple beaches so the village Iano was a good spot to be based. Cinzia the owner was a fantastic hostess, great with the kids and very welcoming. She runs the cafe/restaurant across the road too so that was a favourite of ours for breakfast every morning! We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it if you're looking for a peaceful location with spectacular views.

Very good place
A very nice place to stay. Very convenient with two restaurants and a little shop very close by. The hamlet is tiny but there was everything we needed. The apartment was nice with a private terrace and garden. The equipment is basic but it had all we needed. Very happy with the experience. Nice swimming pool, very clean. The pond is definitely a great attraction for kids.

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing - the perfect holiday spot
I have stayed here several times with family and friends and we have always had a wonderful time. Iano is a peaceful little hamlet and the restaurant in the village is fab, with its terrace overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The apartments of Podere le Monache are well equipped, tranquil, cool oases from the Tuscan sunshine and the pool area, with its deckchairs and parasols, is a lovely place to relax with a cold drink. The garden is also very beautiful and the views across the valley are spectacular. There is a mini-mart across the road to fulfill all your grocery and ice-cream needs, and you can find banks, more restaurants and bigger supermarkets in the local larger town of Montaione, about 6km away. The owner of the apartments is a lovely lady, very friendly and helpful. Lots of people come back to Podere le Monache year after year and there are very good reasons for that. Highly recommended!
