A lovely little place to stay
Really quite easy to navigate through London from here - fairly quiet at night. Hotel clean and tidy. Rooms quite compact, so a bit of a squeeze for 2. Continental breakfast - varied selection.

Great hotel, staff and location
Really good inexpensive hotel in an excellent location with really friendly and professional staff. Very small rooms but clean and perfectly adequate. Our room on floor 4 was quiet and comfortable. Plenty of choice of fresh food for breakfast.

Stayed for 2 nights at the Folgate Street hotel. Excellent service, compact room which met all my needs including nice towels, clean and a good hairdryer. Great location at a reasonable price being so close to the City of London.

DISAPPOINTED!
I can't think of a better word to describe my experience other than disappointing (and that was just the first few hours of my stay).
The location is great, but pay attention when making your reservation through a booking partner as the hotel placed me in a tiny room with no window, for a claustrophic person like me you can imagine my despair.
At the time of booking we were informed that we would have "limited view" which is understood by anyone I assume that there is no big mistery other than LIMITED view of the city or the street anyways, however I came to discover that limited has a new meaning and now means "No window".
Yet in the hotel we requested to change the room and we noticed that the staff clearly were not willing for a solution and we were requested to pay an extra 20 pounds per night to change bedroom (not mentioning the 3 pounds per luguage you have to pay if you arrive a bit earlier for Check in and wish to leave you luggage).
In the end we were informed that next time we should book directly with the hotel so that this wouldn't happen, as a customer I don't care about the agreement between the parties, I paid to stay at the hotel and not at the partner's, so in my opinion they should have offered a solution instead of just saying you did wrong for using a partner so you have to pay, its this or nothing.
Anyway, here's my review for the first and last time in this hotel, if you want to play at living in a box, this is the experience of a lifetime.

Considerati i prezzi di Londra, 2 notti sono anche gestibili, a patto però che si soggiorni da soli. Vicinissimo alla stazione e comodo per chi atterra a Stansted. I problemi sono 2: 1) camere di 10 mq.(bagno incluso), gran parte senza finestra.Ove prevista,in alcune sistemazioni è schermata.Alcune camere,poi,sono sotto il livello della strada.Pertanto prestate attenzione quando prenotate e richiedete una camera con finestra, non schermata; 2) un solo asciugamano grande per persona e pulizie in camera ogni 3 giorni.Il che significa che non rifanno neanche il letto.Se si è in 2,la situazione è davvero ingestibile!Nessun armadio,solo degli appendiabiti a parete.Il bagno va bene, ma la doccia è priva flessibile col doccino. Non ci tornerò!

LOVED this hotel!
My husband and I stayed here on an anniversary trip. We'd never been to London before, but were really glad we chose Shoreditch as a place to stay, it is funky and cool. The hotel was wonderful - and SO QUIET! For being in such a busy part of town it was a very calm area. The breakfast selection was fantastic (we booked direct). The room was small but clean, and the hotel itself is just a few block from Liverpool Station - you can get right on the Circle Line and easy access to several other Tube lines. It's just around the corner from Spitalfields Marketplace which is enormous and had lots of shopping and dining options. Can't wait to visit again!

Buon Hotel in zona tattica
Ho soggiornato cinque notte presso questo Hotel in una via laterale nelle vicinanze della stazione Liverpool Street. L'Hotel è silenzioso e per gli standard di Londra anche molto pulito. Ci sono stanze senza e con finestre. Consiglio vivamente di scegliere quelle finestrate per un comfort addizionale. Inoltre alcune stanze non fenestrate sono più piccole. Le finestre si aprono con sistema basculante. La regolazione della temperatura avviene con condizionatore e sensore di movimento. Quindi se non siete in stanza si spegne tutto e al ritorno potreste avere molto freddo o caldo. Il bagno non è refrigerato o riascaldato. Noi avevamo temperature abbastanza fresche in bagno. Le prese elettriche sono inglesi ma ci sono attacchi USB tipo A. La stanza ha una bella illuminazione anche con LED. Non ci sono veri armadi in stanza se non appendi abiti e piccoli cassetti verticali e orizzontali (guardate le foto e capirete). Troverete comunque un po' di ripiani (sfruttando l'unica sedia e il davanzale della finestra. Non ci sono tapparelle ma tende che oscurano abbastanza bene. Non c'è una vera scrivania in stanza. Non ci sono bollitori o frigobar e simile. Il pavimento non è in moquette ma in materiale plastico simil parquette.
Nota dolente: il letto matrimoniale è piccolo e stile piazza e mezza alla francese (190x140). Quindi se siete persone grandi e alte starete stretti. Io sono sui 190 cm e ci stavo a malapena (ma ci si abitua). Le coperte sono forse un po' corte. Il cuscino è comodo e consistente. Ci sono molti specchi e un phon (non in bagno poichè per le leggi inglesi non sono permessi prese di corrente in bagno). Il phon è accettabile.
Il bagno è piccolo ma accettabile con doccia a vetro (manca però il doccino) e lavandino con davanzale grande. WC normale. Manca ovviamente il bidet.
Gli asciugamani (viene fornito solo uno grande a persona), come la pulizia della stanza, viene effettuata ogni 3 giorni a prescindere da quanto starete (quindi se state quattro notti vi puliscono la stanza al terzo giorno) . Se avete bisogno vi forniscono comunque asciugamani nuovi.
Parti comuni: ci sono due ascensori (quattro piani in totale + interrato). Al piano c'è c'è un ingresso con divani e la parte per la colazione che è piccola se arriverete durante l'ora di punta della colazione. Quest'ultima non sempre inclusa e dipende dalla vostra prenotazione (dovrebbe costare circa 11 sterline). La colazione è molto italiana con differenti tipi di croissant, yogurt vari, muesli, frutta tagliata, succhi, pane ecc... La parte salata però è minima. Una cosa positiva è che la colazione è fornita sempre in vasetti e bicchieri di vetro per minimizzare gli sprechi.
Di fianco alla zona colazione c'è un piccolo cortile interno molto carino ma da utilizzare prevalentemente nel periodo caldo.
Quando arriverete dovrete fare il check-in da uno dei terminali automatici. La cosa è abbastanza semplice se siete abituati ad usare uno smartphone. Il personale comunque è gentile e sempre a disposizione. Non ci sono ristoranti all'interno ma ne troverete a bizzeffe nelle vicinanze.
Il voto è di 4/5 solamente a causa del letto un po' piccolo e perchè ci starebbe tranquillamente un letto di dimensioni 200x160. Inoltre consiglio di aggiungere un tavolino (anche pieghevole).
Per il resto non troverete molto di meglio e soprattutto di pulito e silenzioso nella city di Londra.

tante cose da migliorare.......
Hotel comodo come posizione ( vicino Liverpool street).
Abbiamo prenotato una camera senza finestra per risparmiare un po' visto che i prezzi delle camere sono altissimi.
Devo dire che però la camera è stata al limite della claustrofobia, accesso al letto solo da un lato, testiera letto sporca, cuscini scomodissimi, la pulizia viene fatta ogni 3 giorni e mi pare troppo eccessivo anche per il prezzo che si paga, e vengono forniti solo due asciugamani grandi, mi pare un po' assurdo lavarsi la faccia con l'asciugamano della doccia.
Senza finestra non so quanto sia possibile igienizzare la camera non potendo arieggiare.
bagno piccolo ma ok.
temperatura camera troppo alta, ci si sveglia di notte sudati.
Colazione molto varia e molto buona!!!

L'unica cosa positiva è la posizione, a due passi da Liverpool street underground.
Camera minuscola con accesso al letto da un solo lato, muri sporchi, trovato un frammento di vetro nel pavimento della stanza, testiera del letto sporca, bagno con getto d'acqua non sufficiente per lavarsi i capelli, no telefono per chiamare la reception, colazione solo cornetti surgelati, no affettati o pane da abbrustolire, no acqua. Sala colazioni non di dimensioni sufficienti per gli ospiti.
Al check-in ti informano che il cambio asciugamani/lenzuola è ogni 3gg, ok, peccato che però non passino nemmeno a dare una pulita al pavimento o bagno o a rifare il letto.
Temperatura della camera di 30°(il termostato della stanza è inutile perché non gestisce la temperatura...anche su off funziona ugualmente), ho dormito sempre con solo le mutande ma durante la notte mi svegliavo continuamente perché sudavo, presentato il problema due volte in reception ma nessuno ha né risolto né dato un feedback ne due parole di scuse.
Deposito bagagli a pagamento, chiesta la ricevuta fiscale del soggiorno, non danno nemmeno quella..te la stampi a casa...peccato che non te la inviano nemmeno per email.

Great stay
Ha sido una estancia muy agradable. Desayuno variado y rico. Ubicación de diez, cerca de una principal parada de metro y autobuses. Por poner un pero, el wifi iba un poco regular en la habitación. El resto muy bien para el precio. Repetiremos.

Scelgo questo albergo da anni soprattutto per la sua comodissima posizione a pochi passi dalla Stazione di Liverpool st. E anche perché pulito con persone gentili alla reception.. quest' anno siamo rimasti delusi. Una camera piccola in cui non hanno messo riscaldamento nel bagno e pur lasciando la porta aperta la temperatura del bagno era sempre bassa e poco gradevole. Poi con la scusa della tutela dell'acqua e del pianeta, assegnano un solo asciugamano ad ospite e non lo cambiano per tre giorni. Ebbene sì, un asciugamano per tutto..faccia e tutto il resto per tre giorni. Una cosa incredibile. Colazione con monoporzioni, auto check-in..
ma il servizio di prenotazione e scelta della camera on line, a me non ha mai funzionato. Ed ora la cosa che ci ha lasciati veramente basiti: check-in alle 15. Arriviamo alle 13 e chiediamo di lasciare le valigie un paio di ore nel deposito della reception per andare intanto a pranzo. Due borse 6 sterline nell' albergo in cui abbiamo speso centinaia di sterline per soggiornare. Per due ore. Insomma per contenere i costi alcuni servizi sono scaduti ma il prezzo è rimasto nella media (alta) di Londra. Credo che cercheremo altro in zona

Pas de ménage dommage
Hôtel très sympathique j’ai eu la chance d’avoir vue sur de jolie petite maison et non la rue. Dommage pas de mini frigo en chambres et espace assez petit entre le lit et le mur inutile car pas possible de mettre un pied. Les petites déjeuner ce finisses tot je n’ai pas pu en profiter. Facile d’accès à 10 minutes à pied de la gare. Ménage fait 0 fois durant mon séjour de 5. Hit obliger tout les jours de réclamer pq et serviettes de bains pas très agréable dommage

L’hôtel est super bien placé ! Le personnel est agréable et le check in et check out sont flexibles donc pas d’heures imposées.
En revanche, notre chambre ne ressemblait pas a celle que nous avions réservé, nous n’avions aucuns rangement, pas de place pour mettre les valises, pas de bureau ni de petite table de quoi poser quelques trucs. De plus, le chauffage ne fonctionne pas bien, quand on part il s’arrête car il a besoin de la carte de chambre pour fonctionner donc quand on rentre il fait très froid. Enfin, l’eau de la douche est tiède et quand il fait pas chaud dans la chambre ce n’est pas très agréable.
L’hôtel reste très sympa et cocooning.

Asquerosa y claustrofóbica
Habitación contratada con ventana y confirmada y me la dieron sin ventana para 4 días.
Claustrofóbica.
No la limpiaron ninguna de las 4 noches a parte de haberla solicitado todos los días en recepción.
Cambio continuo en recepción y no respuesta del manager más que un NO rotundo al recepcionista por WhatsApp.

Ninguna solución y todo excusas sin reubicarme en otro hotel ni darme respuesta

We are sorry that you didn't have a good experience at our hotel however, to clarify you booked a room without a window and as a gesture of goodwill we accepted to upgrade it for free, but due to a glitch in the system it reverted and we weren't able to offer you the upgraded room as we were fully booked. As an apology, we offered a 20% refund and complimentary breakfast for the whole stay valued at £11.95 per day.

My colleagues managed to get an upgraded room for you the next day however, you might not have understood that and kept the original room. The morning after that my colleagues reminded you once again however you told them that you were too busy to move and that they weren't allowed in the room. By the time you returned the housekeeping team had already left so we weren't able to move you anymore.

We do not clean rooms daily as the company policy states the rooms are cleaned every 3 nights to support our efforts to improve environmental sustainability across our hotels.

We hope that clarifies it for you as we had already tried to explain multiple times.

Enttäuscht, aber hoffentlich nur ein Einzelfall
Leider haben wir keine gute Erfahrung mit unserem Zimmer(!) gemacht.

+ Unkomplizierter Check in und check out
+ Die Schlüssel-Karte hat gut funktioniert
+ Gute Lage / Anbindung

- Geräusche von Zimmernachbarn waren zum Teil zu hören
- Die Ubahn leider auch
- Das Abwasserrohr von den Zimmern über uns war genau in unseren Wänden, was auch in der Nacht ziemlich laut war
- Der Wasserhahn war durchgehend am tropfen, was nur mit ziemlicher Kraft unterbunden werden konnte
- Die Lüftung im Bad funktionierte einfach nicht, somit war nach einer Dusche alles beschlagen und nach einem Toilettengang roch es unangenehm.. Die ganze Zeit..
- Das WLAN hat gar nicht funktioniert und ich durfte mich in das von den Mitarbeitern einklinken
- Geputzt wurde nicht wirklich, jedoch Handtücher bei Bedarf ausgewechselt und das Bett wurde innerhalb 4 Tagen 1 mal gemacht
- Kein Smart TV, aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau
- Die Kissen waren so klein und unbequem, bringt eure eigenen mit
- Eine King Size Decke für das Bett, statt 2 kleinere
- Kein Fenster☹️
- Beim Einziehen fiel ein extremer Chlor Geruch auf

Das Personal war dennoch freundlich und wir hoffen, dass wir nur sehr viel Pech mit dem Zimmer hatten, denn die Bewertung scheint im Durchschnitt ja sehr gut zu sein.

A notre grande surprise, la chambre n’avait pas de fenêtre.
Lorsque je suis allée demander à la réception une chambre avec fenêtre, voici la réponse de l’hôtel au fil des jours :
- jour 1 : revenez demain nous voir pour vous attribuer une chambre
Bilan de la 1ere nuit, chaleur étouffante dans la chambre la climatisation est extrêmement bruyante, donc nous avons à peine dormi
- jour 2 : il faut payer 21 livres par jour pour avoir une chambre avec fenêtre
- jour 2 : je négocie : nous allons soit vous attribuer une chambre avec fenêtre soit une chambre ou la climatisation fonctionne normalement
- jour 3 : l’hôtel est complet
Pour couronner le tout, le personnel qui fait le menage tape dans les murs adjacents ou dans le couloir avec l’aspirateur, nous réveillant à 9h30
Nous dormions en décaler
NB : le ménage a été fait dans notre chambre à partir du 3eme jour, pas de poubelles vidées avant cela

Gut gelegenes Hotel - Zimmer werden nicht gereinigt
- Das Hotel ist für einen Städtetrip sehr gut gelegen. Die U-Bahn liegt in der Nähe von wo man gute Verbindungen hat.
- Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ok. Kleine Auswahl aber reicht grundsätzlich aus.
- Die Zimmer sind klein und bei der Anreise sauber.
Die Zimmer wurden nicht wie auf der Homepage geschrieben „täglich aufgefrischt“. Wir waren 3 Nächte dort und unser Zimmer hat in dieser Zeit nie jemand vom Housekeeping gesehen. Dies war sehr enttäuschend. Es wird ebenfalls grossartig angepriesen, dass die Handtücher vor die Zimmertür gelegt werden können um frische zu erhalten. Nicht wirklich.. sie wurden aufgenommen aber nicht ersetzt!
- Die Angestellten der Reception waren nur bedingt hilfsbereit. Freundlich ja - aber nicht mit sehr viel motivation dabei.

Une bonne qualité et un super emplacement !
L’hôtel se trouve a proximité de la grosse station de Liverpool street où se trouve plusieurs lignes de métro, bus et trains.
Accès facile au reste de la ville !

L’hôtel a un très bon rapport qualité/prix pour Londres, il offre de la modernité dans un petit espace qui fait « cocon ».
Le plus de la chambre, les lumières Modulables en intensité et couleur !

Schlecht isoliert
Kleines Zimmer mit modernen Lichtschaltern.
Lichter flackern und WC Türe lässt sich nur mit Mühe richtig schliessen.
Schlecht isoliertes Zimmer. Die Fensterbank kann quasi als Kühlschrank verwendet werden.
Dank der nahe gelegenen Baustelle braucht es früh morgens keinen Wecker.

Super Lage mit freundlichem Service
Super Location: man kommt zu Fuß zum Sky Garden, London Bridge und Borough Market, äußerst freundliches Personal und das Frühstück kann sich für 9£ sehen lassen (wirklich frisches Obst, Kaffee/Tee inkl, Milch und Alternativen, Croissants & Co) !

Die Zimmer waren gut und der service war super. Vor allem hat mir gefallen, das wir noch Frühstück zum mitnehmen vorbestellen konnten, obwohl wir eigentlich schon zu spät dran waren. Danke an Emmale und Kenya dafür und für euren tollen Service!

Pas catastrophique mais bof pour le prix...
Le personnel est parfois sympa, parfois non... la chambre ainsi que le lit sont beaucoup trop petits. Nous sommes restés 2 jours et le ménage de notre chambre n'a pas été fait pendant notre séjour. L'insonorisation de la chambre est catastrophique, nous pouvions voir la lumière du couloir en bas de notre porte donc le bruit passait également... Nos draps étaient tâchés. La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas mais elle a été réparée pendant notre séjour donc le personnel a été très efficace. Le petit-déjeuner est top ! Simple mais vraiment complet et bon.

Pésimo.
-Habitación claustrofóbica, enana y sin ventana. La iluminación terrible y el aire acondicionado daba mal olor al encenderlo. Además, se encendía solo y después no se podía apagar.
-No hay armarios para colocar nada ni nevera/minibar. En el baño solo te dejan 1 vaso de plástico y jabón en 1 bote anclado a la pared.
- No hay servicio de habitacionez diario. Solo limpian, cambian las toallas y hacen las camas 1 vez cada 3 noches. Esto no lo indica en ningún sitio, lo descubres una vez allí.
- La ducha no tragaba el agua.
- No tienen un microondas en la zona de desayuno en el que puedas calentar por ejemplo la leche. Tampoco hay tostadora. Lo que ofrecen, por 9 libras es bastante cutre.
- El servicio, en general, deja mucho que desear. Son bastante maleducados. Un día a las 4 pm saltó una alarma en la habitación que no sabíamos que era, bajamos a preguntar y ellos tampoco lo tenían demasiado claro.
- La limpieza es bastante dudosa. Había patatillas fritas en la caja fuerte cuando llegamos.
Buenas tardes, lamento profundamente que no haya disfrutado de su estancia en el hotel Point A, por favor asegúrese de que he tomado nota de todos sus comentarios y hemos actuado sobre el que tenemos control. Esperamos que todavía haya disfrutado de su tiempo en Londres y que haya tenido un viaje seguro de regreso a España.

Hotel muy recomendado
Hotel localizado en una muy buena ubicación, tienes el metro y paradas de autobús muy cerca. Para desayunar nos recomendaron un restaurante llamado Polo Bar, que está cerca, y es barato y variado. La habitación es muy bonita, silenciosa y moderna, la cama muy cómoda, solo que muy angosta para pasar en la parte de adelante. El baño muy bonito y luminoso con un gran espejo. La atención al cliente excelente, lo único que no hablaban otros idiomas, pero lo compensa con lo otro. En general un muy buen hotel donde volvería una próxima vez.
