Livingstone Jan Thiel Resort

1. Ubicación: buena, importante tener en cuenta quen la playa queda a 500 metros del hotel. hay que salir del hotel y caminar hasta la playa (jan thiel)
2. Instalaciones: buenas, el Tv y microhondas estaban en malas condiciones, se solicito el cambio y lo realizaron.
3. Personal: muy poco amable (con ecepción de Kira), la percepción es de mala atención a los latinos, solo le dan buena atencion a los europeos, lo cual me parece muy mal, teniendo en cuenta que tanto los Holandeses como los latinos estamos cancelando un hospedaje y por lo tanto todos merecemos el mismo trato. Me pareciomuy despectivo el trato.
4. Desayuno: bueno, aunque repetitivo

la atención es perfecta, las instalaciones y las villas son espectaculares, en el hotel tienes todo lo
necesario, la playa es muy cerca y se cuenta con supermercado cerca, aunque reserve una cabaña al llegar estaba ocupada e inmediatamente me cambiaron a una villa sin ningún sobrecosto

I enjoy my stay so much! The property is so peaceful and the landscaping alone is amazing! You can't beat the location because everything you would need whether it was dining or recreational, it was all within walking distance! I did have an issue with the bed...mattress was WAY too soft. But, kudos to Patricia, she managed to help get the problem solved! Having a private villa, it would have been nice to have a microwave and a larger refrigerator but it wasn't a deal breaker! The biggest plus was that you didn't need to use any outlet adapters and also, you didn't have to worry about the water and electricity being monitored! I would definitely stay here again!!

The setting is quite charming. We stayed in a one-bedroom little villa, with a living area, bathroom, WC, and commodious porch. The porch was the best part. The lighting was a little harsh in the villa at night -- we could have performed minor surgery in any of the rooms or the porch -- and the rooms were also quite minimalist in their choice of color. But the bed was comfortable, and the kitchenette and bathroom were fully functional. We didn't spend very much time around the pool because the lounge beds were nearly always taken. We had breakfast at the site once but were turned off by the number of flies that landed on the food whenever we looked away for a moment. We also didn't spend much time at the bar after realizing that the cocktails (at least the ones we ordered) were not really made "from scratch". Still, the site was a lovely place to be, and having such a short walk to Jan Thiel Beach and to a grocery store was great.

We stayed in the hotel part. The rooms are spacious and have been recently refurbished but the woodwork had been left and was very scuffed. We appreciated the coffee machine and small fridge in the room. The restaurant food and service is fair. At check in we were given a map with an arrow pointing to the wrong side of the building. The room numbers on the map are so small and photocopied so often they are ineligible and so finding our room in the dark was impossible. After 13 hours of travel having to return to the FO was annoying. One member of staff was outstanding in terms of friendliness and service,John from Housekeeping. There is a soap dispenser in the shower but it's unsuitable as shampoo. Bring your own coffee cups as they're expensive locally and sea sickness tablets if you intend a trip to Klein Curacao ( worthwhile!). All in all reasonable value for money.

Das Hotel müsste in weiten Teilen der Apartments renoviert werden. Nicht alle Apartments haben einen Blick auf den Pool oder Garten (bei weitgehend gleichem Preis). Teilweise gegen eine Steinwand. Das Personal an der Rezeption war weder hilfreich noch freundlich. Man ist wohl mehr an der Masse als an individuellen Problemen interessiert . Hotelmanager stand nicht für Gespräche zur Verfügung!

Sehr freundliches Personal, alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt, kein Buffet Mist, daher auch nachhaltiger was auf der Insel wichtig ist, aber trotzdem große Auswahl. Ebenfalls das nicht unnötig jedentag geputzt wird. gemütliches Ambiente, Bushaltestelle vor der Tür. 5 min zum Strand, daher in der Anlage eine ruhige atmosphäre.,Rundum ein schönes Hotel

Lugar agradable, el aseo de la habitación hubo que pedirlo, pasaron 3 días sin que hicieran la cama ni pusieran papel higiénico.
El procedimiento para pedir el desayuno no nos fue informado, hay que llenar un formulario diariamente pidiendo lo que se desea.
La comida bastante buena pero dedicada principalmente al gusto de los países bajos.
Pocos de los que atienden hablan español.
Quisiera hacer una mención especial y felicitar a Neesy quien con paciencia y dulzura nos explicó cada plato y los tragos todos los días que estuvo en el comedor, siempre atenta y sonriente, destaca dentro del personal.
En el lugar se privilegia la buena atención hacia los europeos y los que hablan su idioma.
La playa que tiene el resort es muy pequeña.

Lage & Umgebung
Der Transfer vom Flughafen dauerte etwa 35 Minuten. In der Nähe des Hotels (im Papagayo Hotel) gibt es einen Supermarkt, in dem man alles bekommt was man braucht. Zum Strand muss man die Straße runterlaufen, dauert etwa 5 -10 Minuten, dort findet man eine Bucht vor wo auch ein Beach-Club (Zanzibar) ist, in dem es auch 2 Souvenir-Shops gibt. Allerdings ist es dort recht laut. Wer also seine Ruhe möchte, ist an diesem Strand falsch. Nach Willemstad braucht man mit dem Auto etwa 10 Minuten. Parkplätze sind in der Anlage vorhanden oder direkt vor dem Hotel. Es ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen einen Mietwagen zu buchen.

Zimmer
Ich habe mich in diesem Zimmer sehr wohlgefühlt, es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht und hat eine angenehme Größe. Das Bett ist ausreichend groß und gemütlich. Es ist ein Schrank vorhanden, in dem auch der Safe untergebracht ist. Zusätzlich zum Doppelbett steht noch ein Bett für eine 3. Person im Zimmer. Zudem ist eine Espressomaschine/Teezubereiter im Zimmer. Das Bad ist neu renoviert und recht groß mit einer begehbaren Dusche. Hervorzuheben ist der Balkon. So einen großen Balkon hatte ich noch in keinem Hotel! Was man sich in Zukunft überlegen sollte ist, ob man den großen Tisch und die Stühle nicht gegen einen kleineren tauscht und dazu noch eine Liege auf den Balkon stellt.

Service
Auch hier gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Immer freundlich, ob an der Rezeption oder beim Frühstück. Ich hatte keine Beschwerden, von daher kann ich nichts dazu sagen wie mit Reklamationen umgegangen wird.
Es wird in diesem Hotel Englisch und Niederländisch gesprochen. Hatte irgendwo mal gelesen, dass auch Deutsch gesprochen wird, stimmt aber nicht.

Gastronomie
Hier muss ich zwischen Frühstück und Abendessen unterscheiden.
Wir haben einmal im Hotel zu Abend gegessen, dass war super, ob Vorspeise, Hauptgericht oder Dessert. Alles bestens!
Ich war nur ein paar Tage in diesem Hotel, für diese Dauer war das Frühstück ok. Allerdings für etwa zwei Wochen, wäre mir die Auswahl zu gering. Es gab immer 2 Sorten Brötchen, süße Teilchen, 2 Sorten Obst, Rühreier, Würstchen, 2 Sorten Wurst, 2 Sorten Käse, Marmelade, 2 Sorten Saft und eine Kaffeemaschine.

Nettes Personal, Lage ist prima zum Strand, gepflegte Anlage, die Häuser müssten mal wieder renoviert werden (Türen und Tapeten beschädigt). Die Matratzen und Sonnenliegen sind angestoßen und ungepflegt.

Hatten das Pech nur ein kleines Standardzimmer für 2 Pers. zu erhalten. Haben im letzten Moment gebucht und es war Silvester, alles ausgebucht. Das Zimmer war viel zu klein und viel zu teuer. Schade. Die Anlage ist sehr schön und nur ca. 5-10 Min. vom Strand Jan Thiel entfernt. Schöne Poolanlage. Würden das Livingstone wieder buchen aber nicht zu diesen Konditionen. Bucht frühzeitig, die Zimmerpreise sind zum halben Preis erhältlich. Wir haben 260 USDollar pro Nacht bezahlt und die Koffer mussten wir ins Badezimmer stellen, da zuwenig Platz war im Zimmer

Service prometteur mais pas pas de suivi dans les demandes. Appartement propre, bien équipé et facile à vivre. Situé à 100 M de la plage et à 20 M de la piscine. petite surface commerciale à proximité bien pratique et bien équipée. Avons cependant eu l'impression d'être un peu perdus dans une masse de touristes principalement germaniques.

Sono stato in questo resort per una settimana ad Agosto 2016. Mi è stato assegnato un appartamento del tipo "Rif Azul".
L'appartamento consiste in una piccola villetta a schiera, molto carino visto dall'esterno ma internamente ha rivelato numerose pecche.
Innanzitutto le pulizie e il cambio delle lenzuola vengono fatti ogni 4 giorni.
L'arredamento è un po' datato e le pareti andrebbero ritinteggiate.
L'aria condizionata è presente solo nella camera da letto. Nel soggiorno fa caldissimo, c'è solo un ventilatore a soffitto, completamente inutile e rumoroso.
Il WC è in uno sgabuzzino angusto, privo di finestra.
Il box doccia e il lavandino invece si trovano attaccati alla camera da letto, senza alcuna porta divisoria (nessuna privacy).
Sul pavimento ci sono formiche ovunque. Ho segnalato più volte il problema alla reception ma la situazione non è mai migliorata.
Per il resto il resort è carino, c'è una bella piscina grande ed è possibile utilizzare gratuitamente le asciugamani da spiaggia. Ho anche ricevuto in omaggio un pass settimanale per la spiaggia di Jan Thiel.
