Hotel Dos Playas Faranda Cancún

Hay pocos sanitarios y la mayoría se tapa, inclusive el de las habitaciones. No recomendable las hamburguesas. La comida en el buffet es buena, solo que si llegas demasiado temprano te tocará el recalentado del día anterior. Lo mejor de todo el servicio. Gracias Alejandro Canche.

Amazing stay! Food was 10/10 and staff is great. (Although communication was hard as they spoke little English) the pools have a beautiful view, entertainment is okay but again hard to understand as most the time they only explained in their language and not in English so we didn’t really know what was going on but they did try and get us involved the odd time. Music is mostly Mexican, which didn’t bother us too much as it was mainly Mexican people at the resort. It’s really close to the hotel zone centre and public beach, just one bus that comes every 10mins from across the street (costs $1) the only thing I will say is that the hotel it’s self is huge and they definitely gave us the worst room view, it was facing the road and it wasn’t very pleasing but the room itself was cleaned regularly and had a fridge that was topped up with fresh water. Overall it was a lovely stay :)

Le grand lit est très confortable, ainsi que le buffet du petit déjeuner très bien achalandé en nourriture local très savoureuses et variées ! Les accès aux commerces de proximité mais aussi les arrêts de bus (toute les 2-4min).
La zone hôtelière festive et leur plages de sable blanc sont a 5 min et le centre de cancùn à 10 en transport type taxi Uber.

Entre mer et lagune les plages y sont très belles.

I have been to Mexico and different parts of Mexico many times. I have to say that the room we were given was the worst room I have seen in all my various stays. I am not picky about rooms but this room was very, very basic. Also, there was no balcony. Now they do have balconies but it requires an upgrade and more money. Typically, I have been given complimentary upgrades at other resorts but upon checking in, I was asked if I wanted to upgrade for a cost.

This is the first resort that I have stayed in, in Mexico, where there was no mini bar in the room. The only thing provided is bottled water.

There was also some noticeable disrepair which we immediately saw upon being escorted to our room upon arrival. There were actually a couple of large holes in the walkway which potentially could be a tripping hazard. These large holes served as a popular entrance and exit for the iguanas.

The grounds are beautiful. The pool is beautiful. Unfortunately, there is only one bar located at the pool and drink selection is very limited with signage posted showing what you can order from the bar.

The music at the pool is generally good with a lot of Spanish/Mexican flavouring and thankfully, nobody is playing their boombox. Chairs seemed limited but it was always easy to get during most of the day and definitely if you were there in the morning. There is very little reserving of chairs by placing towels on them and seemingly never coming back, typical of many resorts but not this one.

Hot dogs are available at the bar for a snack with a nice assortment of condiments. There is also fresh pizza available with pizza made daily. The staff at the pizza place is not very friendly. I was able to get some topping adjustments made to the pizza of my choice from the limited offerings on the board posted there but one time, I was told that I could only order the menu items which seemed odd given that I was only asking for the addition of one or two toppings.

I don't have any complaints about the food. Food and service were good in the buffet restaurant and there was a different feature each day, One thing that I noticed and this included breakfast, on a number of occasions, is that there was nobody cooking at the omelette station or the feature of the day station and I would have to wait or ask someone to retrieve the cook from the back.

Entertainment is very limited with the usual offerings such as Bingo and Karaoke. The entertainment is done by approximately 9:00pm and that leaves you with pretty much nothing else to do at the resort. Unfortunately, the main person from the entertainment team whose name was Giovani spoke little English so where there is a lot of talking and he talks a lot, it is difficult to understand. This is a small resort and when we were there, there were very few Canadians and Americans for that matter. so I can understand why the resort would cater more to the Spanish speaking clientele.

A very important mention goes to the beautiful Drisdey. She was really nice and made our stay extra enjoyable. One morning were were sitting on our chairs and she approached us to join the yoga class which we did and she was very good and helpful.

The entertainment team was also accommodating in playing the occasional request.

Some interesting things included cooking classes. There was also a unique feature where you got on a podium with a dancing girl and another dressed-up guy. You would spin around while being filmed. This made for a nice souvenir. It was fun but it was more of a promotion for the CoCo Bongo club.

Another nice thing about the resort is the abundant wildlife such as peacocks and iguanas.

You can walk to take a catamaran tour of Isla Mujeres.

I don't compare this resort to five star resorts and rate it on its own merits. I would rate it as four stars because it is a nice resort, on the smaller size. Don't expect the amenities that you would find at a larger resort and you will not be disappointed. I would recommend this resort.

Our hotel is consider 3 stars category, all the rooms have a minibar with 2 cortesy bottles of water, the beds, the ac and the tv. Just some rooms have balcony and its subject to availability for free, you can mention the requirement to your travel agency or u can contact us to tell us the requiriment in your next trip. If you don´t like the room you can get close to front desk to mention it. We are family resort, that is the reason we have a moderate frame time with the entertaiment activities.
On the positive points we will continue with the satisfaction of all our guests. Greettings!!

The only problem I had in my room was that we didn’t have hot water and the WiFi didn’t connect but besides that everything was great the bartender Cesar viberos was the best bartender we had hopefully he’s still working here when I come back next year

Personnel très agréable et serviable ! Le buffet est très bon et varié avec des produits locaux. le lieu est très joli. Yeing, à l’accueil est très efficace.
il y a des animations mais discrètes si on ne souhaite pas y participer. musique le soir puis très calme dès 22h.

Das Hotel ist wirklich ein Traum und das Personal ist sehr nett und sympathisch. Vorallem die Barkeeper Entertainern einen gut. Jose Rios am Pool tut einen guten Job mit seinem Scooby Doo !!!! Das Essen war auch hervorragend. Und die Zimmer sind auch richtig schön also das Hotel ist eindeutig zu empfehlen!!

Super service de Gustavo à la réception! Magnifique plage près de l’hôtel. La nourriture est bonne. Il y a beaucoup d’oiseaux et lézards sur le site, ça fait exotique et donne une belle expérience ☺️

Benito diaz e' un animatore fantastico la struttura e' molto bella spiaggia fantastica cibo ottimo. Giardino curato con pavoni e iguana ambiente adatto alle famiglie. Staff molto cordiale. Molta varietà di cibo ci sono vari punto di ristoro aperti tutta la giornata dalla pazza al giapponese o al buffet molto ricco nei due ristoranti presenti.

Einfache Zimmer jedoch mit TV. Schön angelegter Park. Guter Meerzugang mit Liegen am Strand. Keine Felsen sondern Sandstrand, was ein Vorteil zum nebengelegenen Hotel ist. Es gibt 4 pools. Keiner zum Bahnen schwimmen aber genug für Badespaß. Am Hauptpool gibt es auch ganztags Entertainment wie Guacamole und Margherita Kurse, volleyball, tanzen,...
Es gibt vier Restaurants 1 Buffet, 1 Asiatisch, 1 Pizza, 1 Buffet/Mexikanisch und 2 Snackbars. Essen ist okay. Service ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend, besonders Guandalupe und Lewis. Im ein Lächeln im Gesicht.
Es gibt ein kleines gym und zwei Tennisplätze.

Ich bin das erste mal nach Mexiko bzw. Cancun gereist. Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Das hotel hatte super Zimmer, gutes Essen und sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Aber das ist nicht das einzigste ich kann das entertainment staff einfach nur loben, sie geben sich so viel Mühe und die Zeit mit ihnen hat einfach nur Spaß gemacht. Sie waren sehr nett und haben mich oft motiviert bei ihnen mitzumachen. Die Programme am Morgen und die shows am Abend waren sehr kreativ und einfach nur spektakulär. Ich bedanke mich bei: Drisdey, Esteban, Eliot, Giovani, etc. Danke den erholsamen Urlaub.

L’impatto esterno è buono…strutture basse ( non come gli eco mostri che sorgono accanto… con che coraggio hanno fatto deturpare una costa così bella?) immerse nel verde con prati curati , vegetazione rigogliosa , iguane e pavoni liberi…. Peccato che il positivo si fermi qui.. 40 anni fa doveva essere
una bella struttura…. Andrebbero investiti molti soldi per riqualificare il tutto e renderlo almeno decoroso….
Le stanze anche se spartane sono decorose … mobili riverniciati più volte , bagno senza aereazione, area condizionata non funzionante ( però dopo 4 segnalazioni hanno cambiato la macchina)… ai nostri amici si allagava il bagno per mancanza di pendenza dello scarico e la camera quando pioveva di traverso;pulizia accettabile.
I lettini mare sono degli anni settanta… pesantissimi da spostare con materassini lisi consunti e al mattino gonfi

Patii fronte mare in legno consunti e pericolanti, danno L impressione di rompersi da un momento all’altro altro e farti precipitare.
L animazione scarsa, la sera inizia alle 20 e finisce alle 21: o mangi alle 19 o non partecipi.
Veramente negativa è la ristorazione: tavoli insufficienti , servizio inesistente, camerieri ( ovviamente non tutti ma la maggior parte)maleducati, indisponenti, sporchi, che vanno a simpatia ovvero sia se lasci mancia un minimo ti considerano , se no ti tocca pulirti il tavolo e apparecchiarti, aspettare decine di minuti per farti servire le bevande ; i buffet sono insufficienti e di qualità scadente… la pulizia scandalosa… resti di cibo del giorno prima sotto i tavoli, piatti sporchi accatastati … manca quasi sempre un responsabile di sala…
In 40 anni non ho mai trovato una struttura così disastrata…

Es gibt viele Bewertungen über dieses Hotel. Ich wohne in Cancún, und meine ist diese: Das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Das stimmt. Mir ist es aber auch egal ob die Fliesen um den Pool farbverblasst sind oder nicht. Es wird überall auf Sauberkeit geachtet. Das Zimmer das wir hatten war sehr gross, mit einer schönen Terrasse und Traumblick in den grünen Garten. Die Pools sind sauber und gepflegt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wer lächelt bekommt immer ein ehrliches Lächeln zurück. Die Rezeptions Managerin Yeing ist super hilfreich! Traumstrand mit wenig Leuten. Einer der schönsten Strände in Cancún. Nachmittags tolle Stimmung beim Poolvolleyball. Abends Auswahl zwischen mehreren Restaurants. Wir haben uns für die Fiesta Mexicana entschieden. Fast wie ein kleiner Park wird um eine Bühne mit Show unter Palmen gesessen und gegessen. Mehrere Essstände. Das Essen war lecker. Dies ist ein 4* Hotel. Natürlich kann man noch besser unterkommen. Aber zu dem Preis eben nicht. Bestes Preis Leistungs Hotel All Inclusive in Cancún meiner Meinung nach ( Stand: August 2023 ). Wir kommen wieder!

Kleines Hotel ,sauberes Zimmer für uns war es vollkommen in Ordnung.
Personal sehr sehr freundlich, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Gutes Ausgangshotel für viele Ausflüge, Busfahrt 0,62 Cent pro Person , sind sehr viel rumgefahren und haben viel gesehen
Isla Mujeres gut mit der Fähre zu erreichen, direkt vor der Haustür fast der Anleger.
