Here you will find a spacious, cosy wooden house with a spacious garden, surrounded by woods and thus embedded in the beautiful nature of the Eifel. You are on the edge of a manageable residential area with a few detached houses, which lies to the south of Hellenthal, not far from the German-Belgian border. The immediate location on the Burgen-Wanderweg hiking trail means you can go on extensive hikes, mountain bike or motorbike tours to the nearby Reifferscheid and Wildenburg castles. The almost unspoilt nature also offers many discoveries for children.

Outside, the balcony on the 2nd floor, the roof terrace on the first floor and a terrace in front of the lower accommodation unit invite you outside. You can enjoy the sweeping views of the treetops of the mountainous surroundings from every floor. A barbecue is of course available. In the garden of the 1600 m² plot, your children can play and let off steam in the green area. The villa has a very nice outdoor sauna (additional costs may be incurred for electricity if used), an outdoor whirlpool (for 4 people all year round) and an outdoor shower that is heated all year round. The energy costs for the whirlpool are charged at a flat rate.

The well-kept house was newly renovated in 2016 and extends over three floors with a living space of 300 m². While the first and first floors form a shared, fully equipped living unit, the ground floor is available as an independent holiday flat that can be accessed from the outside. At this point, the entire house is offered to you as a combination of both residential units. In total, you are offered five double bedrooms, an adjoining children's room with bunk beds, two first-class equipped kitchens, two living and dining areas each with a cosy Biofire stove, a spacious full bathroom, a shower room with infrared cabin and two guest WCs. The comfortable facilities include a flat-screen TV with satellite TV, radiators or underfloor heating in all rooms, free Wi-Fi internet connection, washing machine, bed linen included and towels on request for a fee. On arrival, all beds are freshly made and a towel (50 x 100 cm) is provided for each guest. The upper accommodation unit, the wooden chalet, is very attractive and completely panelled with logs, so that nature is truly brought into your home. As described above, the interior is divided into a first floor, which is accessible from the outside. This is where the communal areas are located, such as the spacious living and dining room, the separate kitchen, a guest WC and the staircase to the first floor. The first floor is located under the sloping roof and offers three bedrooms, a children's room and a full bathroom. The bedrooms are each furnished with a 180 cm x 200 cm double bed and always have a wardrobe to store your travelling wardrobe. From the first bedroom you can access the balcony and the children's room. Here there is a bunk bed with two sleeping areas of 90 cm x 200 cm each. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, a corner bath, a wash hand basin and a WC. Take a seat at the solid dining table in the living area on eight high-backed leather chairs and enjoy a meal together. Passing the Biofire stove, you reach a comfortable sofa set, where a flat-screen TV with satellite TV provides entertainment in the evening. The providers reserve the right to personally confirm group enquiries. The villa is not suitable and intended for stag parties, skittles parties etc. The lower accommodation unit is more simply designed in a modern country house style. The floor is fully tiled and is kept at a pleasant temperature by underfloor heating. The room layout consists of two bedrooms with 180 cm x 200 cm double beds and wardrobes, a living area with dining table and adjoining semi-open kitchen, a guest WC and a shower room with infrared cabin for two people. This flat also has a solid dining table for four people by the Biofire stove. A highlight is the spacious kitchen with everything a hobby chef's heart desires: generous work surfaces, a fridge-freezer combination, a cooker with ceramic hob and oven, a dishwasher, a washing machine and the usual small electrical appliances such as a coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. The kitchen in the wooden chalet is no less equipped for your comfortable and extensive self-catering. The shower room has a walk-in shower with a glass shower partition, a WC and a wash hand basin. The infrared cabin is also integrated in this bathroom.

Due to the remote location of the holiday home in the countryside, the nearest local shops (Netto supermarket/bakery/butcher) are approx. 3 km away. In addition, a local butcher usually drives to the house on Wednesdays around 10:30 am. Cafés and restaurants await your visit 1.5 km away. There are also cash machines and shops in this neighbourhood below Reifferscheid Castle. In winter, many nearby mountain hiking trails and meadows offer opportunities for tobogganing. Excursion destinations include Reifferscheid Castle (2 km), Wildenburg Castle (2 km) and the Hellenthal bird of prey station (8 km) at the Oleftalsperre dam. The medieval old town of Monschau (28 km), the cathedral city of Aachen (57 km) and the Walloon capital Liège (90 km) are also worth a visit. Hikes and excursions into the picturesque countryside are worthwhile at any time of year.
