Beautiful setting!
This is a gorgeous cottage, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The setting is breath taking and wonderfully tranquil. If you are looking to escape from it all then this is certainly the place to do so. I hope to return again soon.

Birthday treat
65th b'day treat. Lovely cottage & setting with views across Loch. Quiet & peaceful. Stay was marred by appalling state of access road. Deep potholes made driving in very challenging!! Concerned we would damage car. Ventured out only once during our week stay so did not see much of area we had hoped to. Suggest owners discuss road repairs as matter of urgency with whoever us responsible for upkeep. Only thing that spoiled our stay but could have been so much better. Who needs that stress when there to relax.

Your own little hideaway in a stunning location
I could say plenty of things about this place, but would not do this cottage and surrounding private coastline and area justice..
As many before have come and gone, multiple times to Tigh Beg, that is proof enough that this is a magical peaceful and very private place to stay. It's takes you away from the joys of 21st century life !! And puts you in a place where the topic of conversation is, look at that Seal, Eagle, Sheep, or just wave at the passing fishermen as they go to sea. That is the hardest task of the day. Believe me. It's the simple life for me and a very grounding place to spend quality time with your family. See, I have said too much and not done it justice. It's perfect.. and the house and location soothes the soul, rain or shine, which is generally both in one day, but never a problem.

Fabulous hideaway
Absolutely wonderful place to stay if you need to get away from it all. The scenery is beautiful. Besides the sheep there's hardly anyone around. We only saw 2 people the whole week and they were locals walking their dogs. The cottage has been recently redecorated so is now a lovely light grey colour inside and not as you see in the photos. Unfortunately, the kitchen chairs are now red which seems a bit out of keeping.
The owners have provided a very well equipped accommodation especially in the kitchen. The items are of good quality as well. Next time we won't be bringing so many clothes as the washing/drying facilities are very good. If it's a sunny day like we experienced all week, the clothes dry very quickly on the washing line provided outside.
Things I feel you may like to know...
Be aware that you cannot park right up at the cottage. A big trolley is provided at the top of the hill where you park your car for you to carry your things down. The hills down are quite steep so if you have a heavy load, the trolley will pull you down the hill. The way back up when leaving is strenuous. My husband pulled, and I pushed! It hasn't put us off though and has made us healthier.
If you don't like sheep in close proximity this is not the place for you as they graze all over the place so there's sheep poo everywhere but you get used to it. We were around in lambing season so found the lambs adorable. The whole experience was delightful. We didn't care about the sheep poo at all but you will need a torch or lantern if you are out late!
The ladder up to the very large loft room is very steep. The ladder treads are very narrow so it isn't the safest climb up and down. We only went up there a couple of times as signal for the mobile is at its best up there. We later found that sitting on the small beach in the front of the house is also ok.
That brings me on to mobile connection. If you cannot do without using your phone and the internet then this is not the place for you. The details tell you that Vodaphone and O2 can get a good signal. We are with O2 and most of the time there was no service unless you learnt to find certain spots and even then the signal would be intermittent. Luckily, we found that we didn't care about not being able to use our phones and if we did, we just drove into Oban and used the ferry port free service. My only concern was if there was an emergency and we needed to call the emergency services or the company who manages the property, especially at night time, we may not be able to get a signal.
You need some cash as well to pay for the electricity used at the end of your stay and the cost isn't huge depending on how much you use. You also need it for paying for the fire logs etc which at the time we were there was £18 for the week.
So beside those points, there is nothing else to mention except it's a wonderful place to stay and we have already rebooked for next year!
