Cold showers, bad cleaning
Nice area, but houses are worn and poorly cleaned. Been here four times, and every time there has been cold showers in the «badeland». People go into the pool without showering because of this.
Houses are not very clean. Lots of dust in the bedrooms and glasses/forks/knives are often dirty when you arrive.

Summer vacation
We stayed one week.
The area is fantastic, The "Øster Hurup Resort" could have been fantastic as well. Sadly it is run down, out dated and dirty.
The cabins are okey, but dirty kitchen appliance, the stairs and second floor creaks alot, there is no Wi-Fi, there is only 4-5 TV channels, some cabins have a dvd player, our did not. The washing machines at the main building is no good, the clothes didn't get clean(on supposably 60°C).
Sadly not sure if we will come back to this place, but will be back to Øster Hurup area, because the town is realy nice and it is close to Ålborg, Fårup, Djurs Sommerland, Randers Regnskog.
We still had a good time, the people working here are friendly and helped with what they could. It is not their fault that the place(outside and inside) is run down.

Nice area, but worn out cabins and facilities
Stayed here a week in July. Three families had booked and confirmed to stay in cabins next to each other, which was one major factor for choosing this place.
When we arrived we did not get side by side as confirmed, but where still asked to pay the fee.
The way the place handled our complaint about this was not satisfying. No apologies and the manager brushed this off.
Place itself was worn out. The big jumping pillow for kids was gone and so was 1 of 2 trampolines.
Houses needs upgrading and maintenance, and so does the small water park. Laundry in site with 2 machines, but only one working for the whole week which led to some waiting.
Area is nice though, with big green fields where kids can run safely around. About 100m to the beach which was a nice place to spend the day.
Kids had a great week here, but the price does not match the quality of the place.

Old and broken furniture. No internet connection.
We stayed in cabin number 70. The sofa was missing a leg, and it was probably too far away from the router to get any internet signal. Two of the induction plates on the oven/stove did not work.
After informing the personell working at the resort about the problems they said that they would fix it, but nothing happened. The only thing they did fix was a door-handle that also wasn't working upon arrival.

Horrible terrible: Don't go there !
We've had a very disappointing experience.
It is very expensive for the quality you get.
Rude, impolite, even agressive management (only 2 young receptionists were friendly: a young boy and a young girl)
We tried to check out since we could not change the apartment (we were not satisfied about a lot of things), but unfortunately they didn't want us leaving there. Finally we just left the place without getting our money back.
If you are not satisfied about something, expect the worst. They are not willing to solve a problem.
Sleeping couch with some cushions on the ground, this is the place where I got neck hernia.
Beds have a very hard matras, sleeping couch was a nightmare.
Curtains in sleeping room very light, letting sun in at the very early morning
Very old used kitchen utensils
Whole day shadow on the terrace (on the north side)
No animation for the children, while it was still summer in august (except in the Danish holidays)
No washing machine or dryer in the house: there are only inside swimming pool area and guess what? You have to pay for it!
For every facility you have to pay extra, you 're also obliged to buy swimming cushions for all the children, that cannot swim.
The owner (as acclaimed) is very hysterical for all the children to wear swimming diapers, even if they are clean and pee on the toilet.
Also the diapers and swimming cushions you can buy there very expensive and are not provided as a service for the amount paid.
Swimming pool is very small: +/- 10x3 m and a smaller part for kids.
The 'owner' will also come to check if you have taken a shower before entering the swimming pool area, reprimanding aggressive if not so (your hair needs to be wet too)!
Oster Hurup is also like a ghost town, after 17.30 o'clock: everything closes very early, even in the summer!
ALL houses are for sale
The only thing what is open: vaffel hused (ice saloon), from the same owner, so you know what kind of atmosphere to expect (compelling his clientele). Also in the area around there is not so much to see / do.

It was an incredibly bad review of us - there is no doubt that you are unhappy with us .....
We are sorry, of course - but we do not change our rules that everyone should go to bed before bathing and small children to use baths.
However, you can bring wings yourself and do not buy from us and they will be used if the child can not swim -
