After Hotel Montevideo

The rooms are comfortable, and although they are not that big, I had plenty of space. The temperature in the room was quite comfortable, so I didn’t even turn the heater on in any day. Breakfast was nice, and the “doce de leite” was incredibly good. The only things that would benefit from improvement would be: restaurant (the food at dinner was not worthy the money at all), availability of cork screw and wine glasses in the room. I wanted to open a wine bottom and the hotel sent someone to open the bottle for me, instead of sending the cork screw…

As like many of us, I’ve been working remotely for the past year. With winter approaching in the North East, I decided to travel back to my home country and spend the summer months working remotely, while visiting family..

A good friend of mine, recommend the After hotel as I was looking for an affordable, but nice place to stay for a full month. From the start, the staff was very accommodating to my requests around what I needed in terms of accommodations, like a fridge, a work station in my room, etc

The hotel is just one block away from “la rambla” which is a great area to run and exercise during the summer months and also very close to shops and restaurants in the city. In addition, it has a pool and a gym that opens up to a fantastic terrace where you can hangout and enjoy a great view of el “puerto del Buceo”.

During my stay there, the staff made sure that I was comfortable and taken care of, while at the same time maintaining all the safety guidelines required due to COVID. The employees are friendly, attentive and always ready to help not only me, but other guests as well.

I will highly recommend this place to stay and please say hi to the guys from me if you go!

Room not ready at an already late check-in time, very inefficient service causing crowds at a tiny reception.
Disgustingly stained bed sheets with pubic hair, bathroom smelling real bad, small room, windows really dusty, pillows completely filthy and smelling like sewer.
If you want to ruin your marriage, this is the place.

there was not one single surface in hotel or room that was not in need of cleaning or repair. that for something that practically just opened. location slightly out of town. reticent service. prone to attract internet guests looking for low rates.

We stayed here the first week of April. The check-in was smooth, we received a lot of information about the hotel and the surroundings. Close to the Montevideo shopping mall and La Rambla.
The room was clean and the every day cleaning was perfect.
The breakfast was excellent with good food choices and a great service.
The hotel staff is very polite, all the time with a smile on their face , greeting you and answering your questions and offering help. They speak English.
The excellent service provided made our stay a great experience.
Highly recommended.

Ein Hotel mit sauberen geräumigen Zimmer. Die Gegend ist sicher und es befindet sich ein Einkaufszentrum in der nähe. Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war ok. Ein sehr gutes Preis Leistung verhältnis

Hôtel confortable. Bon accueil. Bien placé pour les balades sur la plage. Un peu éloigné du centre (5km) mais bus, pas cher, au pied de l'hôtel pour faire les visites.
Bon petit-déjeuner très complet. Possibilité de dîner sur place (qualité moyenne). Plusieurs restaurants à proximité de l'hôtel. Piscine non couverte et salle de sport.

Wir waren von dem sehr sauberen Hotel in guter Lage begeistert. Die Zimmer waren sehr schoen, der Zimmerservice sehr gut. Auch das Personal der Rezeption war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es gab eine wunderschoene Dachterrasse. Nur der Servicvechef beim Fruestueck war etwas zu viel in erster Reihe. Ansonsten wirklich ein tolles Hotel mit nettem Personal und gutem Fruestueck. Kleiner Tip: gegenueber des Hotels gibt es eine kleine Pizzeria, die auf den ersten Blick nicht sehr einladend aussieht, dort gibt es aber ebenfalls supernettes Personal und sehr gutes Essen, viele Einheimische essen dort auch. Tolles Preis-/ Leistungsverhaeltnis.

sono arrivato in Hotel e il personale viene subito fuori a prelevare il bagaglio dal taxi, vengo accolto con un sorriso e un caloroso benvenuto in lingua italiana al desk. mi portano la valigia in camera e una lettera di ringraziamento per aver scelto il loto hotel. camera pulita con tv frigo cassaforte, e un buon bagno sufficientemente ampio. se devo fare due piccole critiche ci vorrebbe più illuminazione in bagno e uno scopino per il water!il letto molto comodo e le lenzuola morbide, camera silenziosa con un ottimo wi fi free. Prima colazione a self service molto completa con una buona qualità dei prodotti, dai formaggi ai salumi alle uova con bacon ect ect. hanno anche il caffè espresso anche se non proprio come lo prendiamo noi italiani ristretto. In definitiva un Hotel da consigliare con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo

L'hotel si trova a circa una quadra dalla Rambla che costeggia il mare in una zona residenziale, a pochi metri dal Trade center di Montevideo e distante circa un quarto d'ora di auto dalle principali attrazioni della città. Le stanze sono nella media per un hotel della categoria ma pulite. La piscina sul tetto così come la palestra, sono mal rifinite e le ho trovate sporche. La colazione a buffet era molto buona e varia.

Abbiamo soggiornato 5 notti all'AFTER hotel di Montevideo a Gennaio 2015 e il giudizio è complessivamente buono.La camera pulita e riordinata con cura, colazione abbondante a buffet.Anche la posizione non è male, a pochi passi dalla rambla principale che porta alla Città vecchia, vicina ad un centro commerciale e ad una strada con molti ristoranti.L'hotel dispone di parcheggio privato a pagamento ma nelle vie adiacenti si trova posto in parcheggi pubblici gratuiti.Unico neo: non accettano cartoline(già francobollate e pronte per la spedizione) da spedire...è la prima volta che in hotel ci rifiuta questo servizio, tra l'altro la ragazza alla reception non ci ha neppure aiutato a capire dove dovevamo portarle ma si è messa a fare altre cose ignorandoci completamente...

Hotel très bon marché et qualité excellente .
Néanmoins ,l'entretien des chambres laisse à désirer ,manque de papier de toilette,pas de tissu mouchoir et on oublie de mettre les serviettes de bains.
Un peu loin du vieux Montevideo mais rapide de s'y rendre en taxi.

Das Hotel liegt zwar ca. 9 km von der Altstadt entfernt aber dennoch zentral zwischen ebendieser und dem Flughafen. Da Taxifahren im Verhältnis zu Deutschland billig ist, also kein Problem. Eine schöne Bucht mit Badestrand ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Hotel eignet sich gut für kurze Aufenthalte und hat geräumige Zimmer im Designerstil.
Es ist ruhig gelegen und sauber, das Restaurant ist eher klein und bietet ein gutes Abendessen und Frühstücksbuffet. Nurt schade, dass im Restaurant permanent Rockmusik gespielt wird, die sicherlich nicht jedermann gefällt.

C'est un bel hôtel au niveau de l'aménagement intérieur. Bien situé dans le quartier Buceo. Chambres petites mais bien décorées.

Cependant le service du personnel est médiocre à bien des égards, ne correspondant pas à la gamme des prix des chambres.

J'ai séjourné 7 jours au after hôtel Montevideo. En arrivant, j'ai appelé la réception pour me plaindre qu'il n'y avait pas de connexion internet dans la chambre, il fallait sortir dans le corridor pour l'obtenir. N'ayant pas de réponse au téléphone j'ai dû me déplacer à la réception. On m'a envoyé un technicien qui a argumenté que la connexion fonctionnait correctement car son cellulaire avait une connexion acceptable et donc que ma tablette devait aboie un problème. Comme ceci n'est pas le cas, j'ai dû insister jusqu'à ce que finalement il a accepté de me référer à une responsable de l'hôtel qui nous a finalement changé de chambre. Nous avons perdu une heure de notre temps pour résoudre le problème et refaire/défaire nos valises.

Le lendemain, à notre arrivée dans la chambre, les employés du ménage avait enlevé la carte du dispositif d'électricité en coupant le courant du frigo. Lors de mon retour à la chambre en soirée, les aliments que j'avais rangés dans le frigo ont été gâtés, en plus que l'air climatisé ne fonctionnait pas et il faisait trop chaud dans la chambre.

Le surlendemain, à 19h, la chambre n'avait pas été nettoyée.

À plusieurs reprises (7 fois pendant mon séjour) les gens qui ont tenté de me rejoindre par téléphone, n'ont pas réussi à parler avec la réception.

J'ai demandé deux fois de m'appeler un taxi, mais le taxi n'a jamais apparu. Cependant, j'ai utilisé ce service à d'autres nombreux endroits et je n'ai jamais attendu plus de deux minutes pour avoir un taxi.

Dans le restaurant le matin, ils mettent de la musique rock et métal lors du petit déjeuner, ce que j'ai trouvé particulièrement inapproprié comme ambiance quand on vient de se réveiller.

Un autre point négatif c'est la saleté de la piscine. Alors, malgré les chaleurs intenses lors de mon séjour, je n'ai pas osé m'y baigner.

En résumé, mon expérience dans cet hôtel a été assez médiocre, à l'exception du petit déjeuner qui était correct si l'on fait abstraction de la musique dans le resto. Le service ne vaut pas le prix que ça coûte, au contraire, le prix est largement au dessus de ce qui pourrait être demandé.

camera molto piccola e soffocante, soprattutto se danno sul cortile interno e rumorose a causa di un generatore sempre in funzione. finestre basse, colazione scarsa, spesso le uova sono fredde. La piscina sul tetto è minuscola idem la palestra. La posizione è buona, si raggiunge comodamente il centro commerciale, o la passeggiata sul lungomare ed un piccolo porticciolo.

Hôtel très bien situé à Pocitos près du WTC et du Montevideo shopping center. Très design et sympathique avec il est vrai de petites chambres, mais bien équipées, silencieux, propre avec un petit déjeuner gargantuesque. Donc bon rapport qualité-prix pour ce quartier.

Das Hotel liegt fast direkt an der Rambla in der Nähe zum Shopping Center und dem WTC, nette Restaurants und Bars in der Nähe, das Hotel hat ein ausgezeichnetes Fruehstuecksbuffet, auf dem Dach einen Fitnessraum und Pool. Um Montevideo für ein paar Tage zu geniessen ist die Lage optimal, die Zimmer recht klein aber sehr gut eingerichtet.

Hotel nuovo e ben curato. Reception volenterosa ma un poco caotica, serve pazienza. Le stanze curate, pulite ma sacrificate come spazio. Quindi pulizia ottima e nessun appunto sulla dotazione nel bagno. Ottimo il servizio lavanderia che consegna in giornata. Buona la colazione e gentilezza e disponibilita' del personale del bar e del ristorante. Nessun rumore molesto. Migliorerei il servizio internet un po' troppo a singhiozzo e debole in potenza. A due passi da uno dei piu' grandi Shopping Center ("Montevideo shopping"). Distante dal centro citta' una 15ina di minuti in taxi (pericolosi, mettete le cinture!) e a due passi dal porto turistico e lungomare. Ultimo piano con palestrina attrezzata e piscina minuscola, giusto per rinfrescarsi.
