Villaggio Albergo Internazionale La Plaja

We stayed here end of May 2023 to first week in June. We stayed in a beach bungalow which has a lovely view as is located directly on the beach. The draw backs of this is the sand does get everywhere and the noise of the planes going over as so close to the airport is very disruptive. The TV didnt work and the shower made the whole floor completely wet.

The breakfast was very basic no hot food there was cereal, juices, croissants, bread, ham, cheese, cold hard boiled eggs and yogurts available. Resturant on site was not open at lunch times when we looked a few times during the stay as previously advertised. The food in evening was very nice and staff were so friendly and helpful however most of them didnt speak English.

The worst part about the stay here other than how loud planes were was the club next door afro club who had some sort of festival that went on all night playing the loudest music it was by far the most irritating experience of my life. 3 am went past and there was no let up to noise levels and no one to complain too. We came on this holiday to relax and it has been completely ruined by this rave at this club blasting techno music for hours on end as well as drunk locals standing around outside the rooms making noise. There was no warning about this before hand or we would not of stayed here.

Buses were very in frequent which made it hard to get around the bus stop however is located right outside hotel but they are supposed to run around every 40 mins doesnt appear to be the case they more like run every hour to hour and half which makes it extremely difficult to get around. There are lots of restaurants close by which is handy and lidl in walking distance but not possible to walk to catania central as the roads run out of pavement.

The stay here would of be alot higher had there not been this noisy club next door having all night parties. But this is not a family orientated place its very run down needs lots of renovation. Not much to do for children.

What a wonderful place to be, right on the beach!!!!. Friendly and helpful staff. Will go above and beyond to suffice your needs. Mrs Enza was very attentive and made sure everything went well for us. Pictures from our bungalow...

Le séjour était agréable, le personnel très sympathique et attentionné. Le bungalow était propre. Proche de l’aéroport attention aux personnes sensibles aux nuisances sonores. Il est préférable d’avoir une voiture pour se déplacer car il y a peu de bus. Bon emplacement a 1h de l’Etna, Taormina et Syracuse.

First time went there but not the last for sure the place is very peaceful and organised plenty of parking good breakfast and restaurant. The rooms are very cosy and clean specially the bathroom. During the night its very quiet and you can have a good rest 5 stars for the place

A great little place to stay when traveling . Very basic . Staff are friendly . Breakfast is good , continental only . Aeroplanes take off nearby but after the first night the sound doesn't bother you . Beach right outside your chalet and only 10 mins to city centre . Cafe opposite in the garage does the most amazing pasta dishes

My friend and I enjoyed our stay here, it was clean and comfortable and great for strolling down to the beach. La Botte on site restaurant served us a fair breakfast and the evening meals where reasonably priced for great food and service. Bus stop to Catania is right outside and runs every 40 mins. Planes take off and land nearby but didn't bother us at all.

Estuve en septiembre de 2017 una semana con varios amigos. Escogimos los bungalows mas sencillitos ya que se puede comer y desayunar en el restaurante del hotel, además tienen un bar y un pequeño kiosko a pie de playa poder poder tomar unas bebidas o incluso una grannita o un helado a pie de playa, que estaba muy limpia y tiene hamacas para los que no los que no quieran tumbarse en la arena. La discoteca estuvo genial y también pude visitar Catania usando el autobús público, que tiene una parada justo al lado. También tiene un parking para el que quiera alquilar un coche y visitar la isla. Siracusa, Enna y Piazza Armerina están a más o menos una hora y merece la pena hacer una excursión para visitarlas. Además el aeorpuerto está muy cerca y el acceso es rápido. Me gustaría mandar un recuerdo a Ornella y Job, miembros del staff del restaurante y que fueron estupendo y muy amable ¡pienso volver!

Peu de moyen de transports pour sy rendre

C’est plus une discothèque qu’un lieu pour dormir, musique à fond même en pleine nuit, en bout de piste d’aeroport, pour les passionnés d’aéronautique aimant le son des moteurs c’est parfait.

Ce lieu est pour amateur d’ambiance sonores fortes et de bruit environnant riche jour et nuit!

Bruyant : les avions en phase de décollage ou d’atterrissage passe juste au dessus.

Petit déj. très pauvres : Oeufs cuit dur, pains ou croissants, confitures, cornflakes et 1 type de fromage et de jambon.

Puntos a favor: La atención del personal, la cercanía a la playa, cercania al aeropuerto, cerca del centro en auto
Puntos en contra: habitaciones pequeñas (no todas), habitaciones viejas, ruido molesto de los aviones, de vez en cuando música muy fuerte

Village de vacances construit en bout des pistes de l'aéroport ! Nous avions un petit bungalow, sale, mobilier vétuste, et avions l'impression d'être dans l'avions qui décollait !!! , les parois du bungalow tremblaient à chaque envol !!
De plus, musique pendant une bonne partie de la nuit ( 04h00) puis réveil à 07h00 avec la musique de l'after !!!! Une horreur à éviter absolument.

Im Rahmen einer Sizilien-Studienfahrt verbrachte ich mit Kommilitoninnen und Kommilitonen im Villaggio Turistico Internazionale La Plaja - The Original Cucaracha insgesamt drei Nächte - zwei davon am Anfang, die letzte am Ende der Exkursion. Dass diese Unterkunft die schlechteste der gesamten Reise sein sollte, entpuppte sich leider relativ schnell: So präsentierte sich die Anlage bei der Ankunft selbst in Dunkelheit als äußerst ungepflegt und verwahrlost. Beim Betreten des Bungalows, strömte uns (ich war in einem Vierer-Bungalow untergebracht) ein äußerst muffiger, unangenehmer Geruch entgegen. Damit nicht genug, das Interieur hat seine besten Zeiten augenscheinlich schon seit 30 Jahren hinter sich: Die Wände sind schmutzig (Flecken), die Betten sind unbequem und das Bad in einem deutschen Gefängnis ist vermutlich gepflegter als das hier vorgefundene. Hinzu kommen löchrige Fliegengitter, sodass Moskitos en masse in die Bungalows gelangen und für zahlreiche Stiche sorgen - von anderem Ungeziefer ganz zu schweigen.

Wie bereits andere Rezensenten kamen auch wir in den "Genuss" der Klänge der Diskothek, welche bis nachts in einer Lautstärke dröhnt, dass an Schlaf nicht zu denken ist. Hinzu kommen die ohrenbetäubenden Flieger vom nahegelegenen Flughafen.

Dass Service hier ganz klein geschrieben wird, sollte sich auch daran zeigen, dass man um eine zusätzliche Klopapierrolle nahezu schon betteln musste und schmutzige Bettlaken und Handtücher selbst nach Reklamation einfach nicht ausgetauscht wurden. Was in anderen Anlagen ein absolutes No-Go ist, scheint im Cucaracha wohl nicht zu stören: So sahen wir abends die House-Keeping-Dame bei der Arbeit mit Zigarette im Mund!

Das ganze Ausmaß des Schreckens offenbarte sich uns bei einem Rundgang über die gesamte Anlage: Alles verfallen und in schlechtem Zustand - eine Kulisse, die sich höchstens für einen Film über eine atomare Katastrophe anbietet. Da hilft es auch nicht, dass ein Strand zur Anlage gehört, welcher allerdings auch nicht gepflegt erscheint.

Einzig vertretbar war das Abendessen: Für unsere Gruppe häufig Nudel- und panierte Fleischgerichte, welche zwar keine lukullischen Genüsse offenbarten, aber dennoch genießbar waren. Das Frühstück war jedoch grauenhaft, Pulversäfte mit chemischem Geschmack lassen grüßen.

Äußerst dreist war dann auch der "Hotel-Shuttle" zum Flughafen am letzten Tag: Statt eines offiziellen Wagens von der Anlage brachte uns irgendeine Bekannte einer dort Angestellten mit ihrem Privatauto zum Flughafen, kassierte aber den "offiziellen" Taxi-Preis von 25 € pro Fahrt ab! Bleibt zu hoffen, dass von den zig Euro der ein oder andere in die Anlage investiert wird und nicht im eigenen Geldbeutel bleibt, denn nötig wäre es allemal.

Insgesamt rate ich daher jedem, einen weiten Bogen um das Cucaracha zu machen, denn die Übernachtungen bleiben unvergesslich, nämlich unvergesslich schlecht!

Le prenotazioni prepagate vanno rimborsate dal sito dove lei ha prenotato e non può cancellare quindi vendicarsi scrivendo queste assurdità è da meschini...invito tripadvisor a contattare booking.com e sapere la verità...questa direzione la porterà davanti a un tribunale per diffamazione e per la sua pressione minacciosa per cancellare e chiedere la restituzione della somma...email parlano chiaro arrivare prima del suo arrivo.
Entro oggi 14/10/2016 sarà esposta querela.

Nos alojamos con mi esposa solo una noche y no creo que otra. Volviamos de una escapada a Malta y habiamos dejado el auto en el aeropuerto de Catania, lo elegimos por la cercanía y por que era solo para dormir una noche, llegabamos a las 22 y partíamos por la mañana temprano. Cuando llegamos la recepción estaba cerrada y parecia tierra de nadie, tuvimos que recorrer el lugar hasta encontrar el restaurant y de ahi llamaron a la persona que 15 minutos despues no hizo el check in. Nos asignaron un "bungalow" bastante distante del estacionamiento, el camino oscuro y complicado. Era todo muy básico, lo que no sería un problema, pero el baño no funcionaba la descarga del hinodoro y debimos hacerlo un forma manual levantando la tapa del depósito del agua, la ventana no cerraba bien y la limpieza era dudosa (encontramos una pelota de playa detrás de la mesa del tv), el descanso es muy malo, amen del ruido de los aviones, el lugar se llena de borrachines y jóvenes ruidosos que viven sin horario. El desayuno es muy básico o menos que eso, el café, corneto, fiambres malísimos. No volvería jamás ni lo recomiendo aunque sea por solo una noche

No me ha gustado nada. Lo que ellos llaman bungalow, yo lo llamo chabola. stas al lado del aeropuerto y estas escuchando los aviones despegar continuamente. La puerta de la nevera estaba rota y su forma de arreglarlo es con un pestillo, el fregadreo no tenía grifo. Debajo de mi cama tenía telarañas enormes que parecían de varios años, la puerta de mi habitación no la podía cerrar por dentro, sólo por fuera y tuve que pedir que me la cambiaran y por ultimo me vendieron cerveza caducada todo esto en una sola noche. No recomendable para nada

Wir suchten eine günstige Unterkunft in der Nähe des Flughafens. Leider war dieses Ressort eine schlechte Lösunv. Der Flughafen ist zu Fuss kaum zu erreichen.
Die günstigsten Zimmer sind extrem klein und dafür eigentlich zu teuer.

Der Strand ist zwar schön, befindet sich aber mitten in der Abflugschneise des Flughafens.

Fazit: Nicht empfehlenswert
