DISONESTI
Abbiamo prenotato a maggio per capodanno con due distinte prenotazioni (nome e riferimenti diversi)per 10 persone e ci siamo sentiti anche al telefono per informazioni varie. Nel frattempo i prezzi sono più che raddoppiati e così a novembre ci hanno disdetto entrambe le prenotazioni senza alcuna spiegazione........la motivazione mi pare ovvia!

Consigliatissimo
La Fattoria l'Ottavo è bellissima, circondata dal verde e con una vista eccezionale.
In questa struttura abbiamo avuto la possibilità di assaporare il vero spirito del Chianti.
Carlo ci ha fatti sentire subito a casa, è una persona estremamente gentile e super disponibile che ci ha dato tantissimi consigli utili su cosa vedere e dove mangiare.
Tutte le strutture dovrebbero essere gestite da persone come lui.
La piscina è un vero valore aggiunto per trascorrere qui le vacanze estive.
Un'ultima cosa, ma per noi fondamentale...sono 8 anni che portiamo con noi in vacanza il nostro cagnolone e non abbiamo mai trovato una struttura così disponibile con i cani come la Fattoria l'Ottavo.
Ci torneremo presto!

Good location but in bad condition
Fattoria L’Otalvo is located approx. 15 km / 9 miles from Greve in Chianti near a town called Lucalena. It is a family-run winery offering several different types of accommodations. We stayed at the 3-bedroom unit “Taverna” facing a beautiful valley, however with little to no view because of a divider hedge with another unit. Taverna was unacceptable in regards to cleanliness. Dust, dirt and grind in bathrooms and kitchen. Dishes in kitchen needed a major scrubbing before they could be used. Reality is in sharp contrast to what is pictured online and in brochure. Uncomfortable plastic chairs and loungers (also at outdated pool area) did not add to the ambiance. WIFi is sketchy at best and only works outside or in living room. No WiFi in rooms. Breakfast is basic and same everyday, the advertised restaurant does not exist. A major disappointment in an otherwise beautiful surrounding called Tuscany.

If you want to enjoy the tuscan nature, this is the right place
The Fattoria is family held and the booking request and confirmation was uncomplicated. We choose fattoria l'ottavo as we booked during Covid times and wanted a self catered apartment. While they usually had a restaurant, this year it is not open.
We rented the Lavanda apartment for 2. It is an apartment on the ground floor with a nice seating area in front of it. Rustical style, it is fully furnished even to cook. We could get a barbecue for us as well and a washing mashing is at disposal. Rooms are all quite big and the building is of old stone and keeps cool even in the hottest days. While we were there temperatures of 35 degrees were reached. A nice small swimming pool and relax area is available as well. What impressed us most is the fantastic views over the wines, the tranquility and the nature. While coming back one evening we were welcomed by a family of 5 wild boars at the main entrance! The family is very friendly and whenever you need something they are very happy to assist!
We used it as base for our road cycling tours, but would drive down to a location as the ride back to Lucolena is very steep on both sides. But plenty of good climbers are using this roads as a good training.
For food shopping we used the coop in Figline Valdarno (quite big and the nearest) and the one in Greve in Chianti where you find nice restaurants and the famous Butchery Falorni. There is a small shop in the Village of Lucolena as well, but we never went.
We really enjoyed our stay and the fantastic setting of Fattoria L'Ottavo.

posto tranquillo
un bellissimo appartamento per due in fattoria due bagni un salottino una camera da letto spaziosa ed una cucina, panorama meraviglioso per chi vuole stare tranquillo , lo consiglio vivamente, ottimo servizio e se vuoi anche ottimo vino ed olio di oliva da comprare ....
