Ci sono stato nel periodo natalizio ed ho visto una bellissima mostra artigianale di presepi, pochi conoscono questa tradizionale iniziativa nel comune di tremezzina

Una bella scoperta di un angolo di Tremezzina
Una delle sedi della esposizione dei presepi 2022 2023. le sale dell'ex Municipio di Mezzegra ospitano alcuni dei più belli presepi con raffigurazioni delle natività ambientate anche in ambiente lacustre, con relative Lucie (barche lariane).
La location è quella di una delle famiglie Brentano che, emigrate in Germania, hanno poi costruito Palazzi a Bonzanigo di Mezzegra.
Da vedere intorno anche le Grate turche, il Ninfeo, Palazzo Rosati e la Casa dei Presepi.
da consigliare per una gita alla scoperta di Mezzegra (non solamente ricordato per quanto accaduto nell'Aprile 1945..)

Pictures were deceiving!
We stayed here with 3 other couples August 28 to September 2, 2019. The pictures on line were extremely deceiving. Looks like a private house, with CLEAN rooms, 2 of the bathrooms had so much mold in the shower and walls we could not use them. One couple had to move out of their bedroom due to the smell. Outdoor furniture was old and dirty as well. Appliances were not working, linens were lacking both on the beds and in the bathrooms. Views were as listed, but location was far removed from town, without Uber or Lyft, it was very difficult to get around. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS VILLA!

Buyer beware - Do not be fooled by the description of Palazzo Brentano
We stayed with four other couples in this residence from August 28 until September 2, 2019. The description was not at all representative of what we found upon arrival. There was mold in several of the showers, the towels and linens need replaced (they were very poorly made). The main kitchen cooktop only had one working burner. There were multiple issues with the appliances. There were two washing machines (because this house if really made up of multiple condo units) but only one of them was working. This house was difficult to navigate because of it being multiple units. You had to walk through the main bedroom to get to the other rooms upstairs (unless you wanted to go outside and walk a ways). I would give this 0 stars if I could. Pitiful is all I can say. Also, this is not located near anything and you really need a car to get around. I am only posting this so that no one else gets stuck renting this place by looking at the pictures and the descriptions online. The outside of the property had lots of moss and mold too and the lawn looked like it had not been trimmed in ages. The only positive was the partial lake view (depending on where you were in the house).

Palazzo Brentano was a disappointment!
Four couples reserved this Villa for 5 nights from August 28 to September 2. The property pictures and description are wonderful, but in reality the property is musty, moldy, and not well maintained. The linens are of very poor quality. The fish pond covered in green algae is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. The garden furniture mold was removed after two calls to management. Only one burner works on the main level cooktop. The oven didn’t work at all! After entering the main door you must go through a bedroom and then down a spiral staircase to get to the ground floor living level. And the stairs are narrow and for some reason painted black. It’s true that the views are great. The closest cafe is at least a mile away which means you always need to drive or hike down and up a pretty steep hill to get anywhere. It is a mismatch of rooms and decor. To say the least, we did not enjoy our stay at Palazzo Brentano!
