Small terraced house "Le Douhet 1", 2 storeys. In the resort 550 m from the centre of Port du Douhet, in the residential district, 80 m from the sea, 80 m from the beach, road to cross. Private: small garden 15 m2 (fenced), parking. Shop 5 km, grocery 5 km, supermarket 5 km, restaurant 550 m, bakery 5 km, café 5 km, bicycle rental 5 km, bus stop "office du tourisme(La Brée)" 3.5 km, railway station "Rochefort sur Mer" 55 km, sandy beach "Plage du Douhet" 80 m. Sports harbour 100 m, golf course (9 hole) 12 km, surf school 600 m. Du boeuf et du porc sur le port !
Très joli restaurant avec ce grand patio extérieur et cette grosse cheminée qui permet de cuire la viande.
Très bon rapport qualité prix ! L’andouillette 5A excellente et la braserade une tuerie avec une concept génial (on vous apporte une brasero directement sur la table avec du charbon de vigne).
Pour les viandarts ou les personnes qui veulent changer du poisson et des huîtres, je vous conseille cette adresse ! En plus le spot du port est mignon comme tout !

très bien mais stationnement compliqué!
Face au port sur une place, l'architecture de ce resto est originale (grande salle intérieure non-couverte).
Les braséros sont également originaux (modèles pour deux ou pour quatre). La viande est très bonne et le service est efficace. Quand au tarifs comptez 200 euros pour 4 pers.

Cadre agréable, service correct.
Une erreur dans la cuisson des 4 entrecôtes (demandėes bleues et servies à point) s'est traduite par une initiative et un comportement exemplaire de la Direction (division par 2 de l'addition).
Ce qui aurait pu être une très mauvaise expérience s'est changė en une envie de revenir avec le souhait de régler la note dans sa totalitė...

Le hasard nous y a conduit, l’envie nous y fait retourner
Très convivial, la serveuse nous apporte une écuelle d’eau pour le toutou avant de la demander, j'ai apprécié. Repas avec brasero, viande excellent et le service sans faille. Nous n’avons pas pris de dessert car trop copieux, seulement un café ☕️ ☕️ chacun. Prix très correct, la qualité, la quantité. . . je vous encourage à vous y rendre sans hésitation

Great setting, the dream terrasse! Amazing meat, a few more fish dishes and salad options would be nice. Good wine and cocktails. The house cognac cocktail is addictive! And the smell of vine wood burning in the fire pit is a dream. Very kids friendly and friendly staff overall. Clean bathroom. Booking recommended as it is very popular. Concerts some evenings for some extra ambience that aren’t disruptive

A popular spot
We booked a table at this restaurant which seems to be necesary as we saw quite a few people turned away who just turned up for an evening meal. The service was a little slow but it didn't bother us a great deal and considering it was the beginning of the pandemic, the staff did very well. We had a high table in the courtyard, and loved the sizzle of the hot plate. It was a nice experience and we had a great night. The restaurant is by a tiny harbour which you can't see from the courtyard, still the atmosphere was lovely.

Just woaw!!!
For our last holiday dinner we have decided to follow trip advisor. And what a surprise at Le Brasero.
Pro and friendly staff. We have managed to book a table.for 6 within 30mn.

A Nice Change
Le Brasero has the advantage of serving a different menu to most places on the island so if you visit often you appreciate that! Have the 'braserade'-a charcoal grill in the middle of the table with a plate full of beef slices marinaded with herbs to grill to your own taste. It's fun and very filling with four different sauces/dips which come with it as well as your choice of baked potato/chips/salad. Seating is mostly outside and it's very very busy in summer (closed in winter-like most of Oléron) so book ahead. Wine is reasonable if you choose local (definitely not fine wine quality...but reasonably OK). Burgers are pretty good too and puddings are a celebration of cocktail umbrellas and chantilly...fun! My experience of many visits is that service is friendly and good-but often very busy so maybe relax and be on holiday rather than on a strict timetable. Good parking including for bikes directly outside. If you want some variety from mussels, oysters, pizza and crepes, give it a go!

A Big Disappointment
We tried getting in one night but it was full, so booked for the next. A full house meant that we were expecting great things but were disappointed. None of the staff looked as if they were enjoying their work (which may possibly have been influenced by the smart phones through which they had to take orders and which did not look very user-friendly). The food was no better than average, and the place totally lacked atmosphere.

Holzkohlen-Grill ... Fleisch
Super Idee ... Gerichte vom Holzkohlen-Grill. Man kann dies auch auf einem kleinen Grill am Tisch selber machen ... hmm, lecker. Ganz toll wenn man mit Freunden isst und Spaß haben will.

aber unverändert gut! Die Karte hat 2 neue Gerichte bekommen (Spare Ribs & einen Hamburger a la maison); das Servicepersonal scheint komplett gewechselt zu haben, aber nach wie vor aufmerksam, schnell und freundlich. Der neue Chef hält sich im Gegensatz zum bisherigen eher im Hintergrund.

ein bischen Erlebnisgastronomie
Vorab: bitte unbedingt einige Tage vorher einen Tisch reservieren, sonst kann es zu sehr langen Wartezeiten kommen! Damit habe ich eigentlich schon gesagt, dass dieses Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen ist! Spezialität: der eiserne Tischgrill mit echter Holzglut, dazu Filetstreifen vom Rind, eine große Folienkartoffel und 3 versch. Saucen. Eine ideale Kombination für große und kleine Gruppen, da sehr kommunikativ :) - die Karte: angemessene Auswahl an Vorspeisen, diverse Hauptgerichte (Rind!) und einige sehr leckere Nachspeisen! Sehr aufmerksames, fast ausschl. weibl. Personal, der Chef hat alles im Griff! Gerne auch mal mit Live-Musik, auf die Plakate achten! Preis-Leistung ist abs. ok!
