Why do they bother with a menu? You have to wait for the boss to tell what the specials are. The Sancerre red wine was not chilled, but still married well with our seafood.

Sehr authentische, normannische Küche mit extrem gutem Service mit Hugo, Rajeev u. Victor. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

We headed into Dives on our last day before heading home wanting to have a nice relaxing traditional lunch before packing up our car ready for the ferry the next day - this did not disappoint the staff were lovely - friendly accommodating and excellent with our two children (12 and 7) the drinks - cider, beer and wine were delicious and the calvados to finish spot on! The food was lovely I had seabass with mushrooms it was delicious ,the 7 year olds grilled beef an excellent piece of meat for a kids menu and he thought it was his best meal! The burger my daughter had was really good ingredients and my husband had the beef. The desserts were also delicious.

Worst experience in years: Completely incompetent and untrained staff (one waitress wants to serve us café before we have received the starters, the other has no idea what dishes she serves). Huge amounts of tame, inedible meat, the side dishes we ordered are missing. The wine is not what we ordered, but a poorer year.

Sehr authentische und leckere lokale Küche! Die Gerichte heben sich geschmacklich ab und sind in ihrer Aromatik ausgewogen. Auch der Service war sehr gut. Wir können das Restaurant absolut empfehlen!

Posto che a me le frattaglie piacciono molto, mi è stato consigliato questo posto delizioso in una località graziosa. Ci sono stato 2 volte e ho s ialato con la elebre trippa di Caen (il locale ha vinto l'edizione 21-22 per questo piatto) e i rognoni. Ho assaggiato anche un formidabile filetto alla Rossini e una squisita fricassea di pollame. Carta dei vini buona. Prezzi, vista la qualità, adeguati Servizio simpatico e amichevole.

I walked into this place by chance when I was looking for somewhere to have lunch whilst out walking. I had the 3-course set menu, herring salad to start which was fine, but then I made a mistake by choosing pig's trotters for main, lots of bone and fat and not much meat. I finished up with a pear in wine - too much liquid and nothing but the pear.

In vacanza a Dives in una giornata uggiosa siamo andati a pranzare in questo magnifico ristorante dove abbiamo assaggiato la famosa trippa « a la manière de Caen « , bevuto dell’ottimo Saint Émilien senza eccessivo rincaro sul vi o. in un atmosfera autentica e francese un po’ rétro !
Servizio veloce, cortese ed impeccabile!

Wir haben den Tipp zu diesem Restaurant aus dem Marco Polo Reiseführer über die Normandie. Es las sich schon sehr toll also los. Zu allererst waren wir von dem geschmackvollen Ambiente überrascht ! Absolut stimmig, rustikal, warm und mit unzähligen antiken Accessoires. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.
Einzig gab es auf unserer Seite die Herausforderung mit unseren rudimentären französisch Kenntnissen eine Karte zu lesen die eben nur auf französisch geschrieben war aber auch da hatte die Bedienung den Überblick und wir konnten uns ein wenig auf englisch und mit "Händen und Füßen" verständigen. Das Essen war echt ein kulinarisches Feuerwerk. Bei der Zubereitung hatte man einen kleinen Einblick in die Küche. Das Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir haben Anfang Juli abends mitten in der Woche nur zufällig einen freien Tisch bekommen, eine Reservierung ist dringend zu empfehlen. Wir waren mit allen Gerichten sehr zufrieden, alles war sehr frisch und teilweise sehr außergewöhnlich angemacht. Wir werden wiederkommen!

Sono tre giorni che pranzo in questo ristorante e non sono mai rimasto deluso.

Grande scelta di piatti della cucina locale.

Wir waren heute auf der Durchfahrt nach St. Malo da essen. Mittagessen gab es bis 14.30 Uhr.Der Patron liess uns dann 10 min warten, bis er sich bequemte, an unseren Tisch zu kommen. Dann war es 14.30. Fischsuppe und überbackener Kartoffelbrei mit Fisch dauerten dann 40 min bis sie auf unserem Tisch auftauchten. Die Fischsuppe war dünn und keine 8.90 Euro wert. Mein Überbackenes fand ich für 13 Euro auch happig. Ich denke, wer lange warten kann und Fleisch mag, ist da (vielleicht) gut aufgehoben.

Ho cenato presso questo ristorante durante un viaggio in Normandia, il locale ci era stato consigliato dalla Signora presso cui abbaimo alloggiato. La premessa è che la prenotazione è indispensabile, il locale è sempre strapieno,anche di locali e non solo turisti, quindi meglio telefonare anche il giorno prima per prenotare un tavolo in giorno feriale, noi abbiamo provato 2 volte ad andarci prima di trovare un posto libero per sole 2 persone. La scelta del menù è varia, si tratta di piatti tipici della regione ma cucinati con cura e con ottimi ingredienti di qualità. I prezzi non sono altissimi, il vero problema, come in molti ristoranti francesi è che il vino è costosissimo, difficile trovare una bottiglia sotto i 50 euro. Noi abbiamo ripiegato sul sidro e con circa 30/35 euro a testa abbiamo preso un totale di 4 piatti più dolci. Il locale una volta era un negozio di antiquarito/ robivecchi, che è stato convertiro circa 20 anni fa in ristorante. Molto originale, troverete vari ripi di oggetti, dalle poltrone del treno convertite a tavolo a poster che pubblicizzano la lotteria nazionale francese con fumetti d'epoca, targhe e varia oggettistica. Il serizio è veloce, i tavoli da due sono piuttosto striminziti e molti vicino all'ingresso, quindi viste le temperature, se non andate in estate assicuratevi un tavolo lontano dall'ingresso.
Esperienza ottima, lo consiglio caldamente.

En primer lugar el escenario es impactante por su decoración tan recargada como original y entretenida. La comida es de gran calidad, estando clasificado entre los grandes chefs franceses. El Menú de 27€ que tomé tenía entrada + plato principal + quesos + postre. Todo ello a elegir entre 6-7 ofertas a cual más suculenta. Mi elección fue Degustación de Terrinas de la casa, el boeuf especialidad hecho en 72 horas y la copa ligeoais (helado de caramelo, nata, dulce de leche...). Todo muy bien, salvo algún pedazote de carne demasiado hecho. Un detalle el de dejar para servírselo uno mismo la tabla de quesos.
