Cela fait 4 fois que nous venons et toujours top !! Animations, propreté des sanitaires/piscine/place central...
Juste un bémol : le train de marchandise qui passe du matin au soir même la nuit !!!
Et le bruit des camping alentours qui dure très tard dans la nuit

Großer Campingplatz mit schönen Bungalow, zum Teil renoviert und mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Toiletten und Duschen sehr sauber. Toller Pool und die Nähe zum großen Strand runden das ganze ab. Es gibt einen kleinen Supermarkt und ein gutes Restaurant. Man fühlt sich wohl. Sehr nettes Personal.

Sat here at 23.00 listening to booming entertainment, think it could be bingo! Yes it is Saturday night ....
From Sunday until Friday this is a good peaceful site for those of us snow birds or spending the grey pound. The railway line is not too bad, here you can be sited quite away from the line
But come the weekend OMG. Lively, noisy and raucous. So if that’s your thing and you have a young bouncy family .... enjoy.
Those looking for a gentler life style in May. Book elsewhere each weekend.

Locally some good restaurants in Torremdebarra and Roda de Barra
Tarragona worth a visit

Séjours parfait , camping très propre et très conviviale très bien emménager , avec une belle piscine , les sanitaires sont impeccables , très jolis bungalows très bien situés ( juste pour 4 personnes pas plus ),tout proche de la mer , grande plage et belle ballade tout au long de la mer et +

Nous sommes arrivés dans un camping casi vide . Animation inexistante personnels pas très sympa le seul avantage pas de bruit. Tres strict au niveau de la piscine pas de bouée pas de boissons pas de cendrier interdiction de fumer interdiction de manger même un biscuit sanitaire par contre tres propes bruit du train qui passe derrière le camping toutes les heures sauf la nuit heureusement. Enfin a ne pas refaire ha oui j'oubliais le week end rempli d'espagnols peu de belges et pas un français à l'horizon. Decue en sommes sauf pour le temps 😉

Nous sommes avec une petite fille de 3 ans et tout est bien fait une piscine magnifique avec coin pour les petits un accueil très sympathique , l entretien est parfait la mer à côté franchement rien à redire

We were pleased to find this site. It's further from the railway line. Our first opinions were; how very friendly, organised and clean the site was.
The site is a magnet for young families each weekend. This is fine but it does make it extreme noisy and possibly not the solitude older couples, such as ourselves, look for.
But we are finding that Spain has only limited sites to offer. You can have totally out of the way with limited and poor facilities . Or you can have big resorts with all the facilities you would ever wish to have. The latter is in abundance and Stel falls into this category .
A place for young families but Spain could be saying goodbye to the 'grey £' by this approach .

21 of us, adults and children stayed at Camping Stel for 1 week at the end of the season, the second week of September.

The area was mostly shut down outside of the campsite, and some of the facilities within also. If I was to return I would go back a little earlier. We would very much like to enjoy the entertainment and eating options available during working season and we seem to have just missed out this time around.

The chalet for 4 ppl was very nice, suited our stay well. The pool area was lovely , however you cannot eat or drink by poolside; not completely a deal breaker but inconvenient none the less.

My daughter, age 10 is in love with the place and is planning her return daily. Overall we had a wonderful holiday and would recommend camping Stel to others.

Immer noch seit Jahren schöne Erinnerungen an diesen Campingplatz und vor
allem an die Disco "ARQUS" schräg gegenüber der Einfahrt vom Campingplatz.

Dopo dieci anni sono tornato in questo campeggio soggiornando in bungalow. Il campeggio si trova nelle vicinanze di un arco romano ed è molto ben indicato; facilmente raggiungibile sia da N340 sia da AP7. L'accesso è molto agevole anche a chi viaggia con caravan di grandi dimensioni. Il personale della Reception è molto cortese e disponibile per cercare di soddisfare le richieste del cliente. Il campeggio è tutto pianeggiante e offre buoni servizi (mini market, caffetteria-ristorante, piatti da asporto ecc). E' sorvegliato e quindi le vacanze si godono pienamente. La spiaggia si trova a pochi metri e chi ama solo passeggiare può fruire di una bella passeggiata lungo la costa.
I servizi pubblici sono a ben accessibili e vicinissimi al camping (occorre attraversare la N340 se si è diretti verso Tarragona). Il camping si trova in posizione strategica per poter effettuare belle escursioni in Tarragona e al vicino Port Aventura e a molte altre mete di interesse artistico-archeologico.
Mi sento di consigliarlo vivamente.

Stel is a good camping site, with a big (but crowded in the afternoons) swimming pool for children, good sports facilities for teenagers, and a cool, shady and very well-designed bungalow area, with winding footpaths and lots of beautiful flowerbeds, so it is very suitable for families with young children who can walk or ride bikes in ample traffic-free areas. But its surroundings are not so glamorous as it is constrained by a busy national road on the west and a busy railway track on the east, which you have to go under to get to the sea. The beach is less than a 6-minute-walk from the furthest pitch, and it is not too crowded, especially in the afternoons and evenings. The water was very warm during the heat wave in first week of July, and only a couple of days the odd jelly-fish could be seen offshore away from the main bathing area. You can walk for one hour along the beach on either side, but, again, the railway tracks sometimes spoil the beauty of the coast in many stretches.

We rented a Stel-4 bungalow, which was very new, with a fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioning and TV, and a spacious bathroom. Everything was very neat, clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable, but the sofa had little glitter specks, that stuck to your back and the furniture in the porch was a bit small to allow 4 people to eat outdoors. The price, €1033 per week was, perhaps, a bit high, taking into account the surroundings of the camping grounds.

There is a small supermarket, which is very convenient, but if you want lower prices you can go to Mercadona, 5 minutes away on the main road to Tarragona, or to Bonpreu, with a wide range of first brands, less than five minutes towards Barcelona. There are also some shops, laundry facilities and a small gym. The restaurant offers good pizzas for around €9, and a decent paella for €12 per person (you have to book the size of the paella in advance), among other dishes, and there is a crepe-van, which is not extremely popular, perhaps because the crepes are a bit expensive: the savory ones are around €5 each, but the fillings are enticing: homemade humus (mashed chickpeas) with cheese and honey; bacon, goat cheese and honey; chicken, cheese and crunchy onions (they were all very good). The sweet crepes are cheaper.

Most of the campers were Spanish, although there were some Dutch and Belgians too.

The camping is next to the Roman Arch of Bara, and there are more Roman ruins in Tarragona. Port Aventura Park, the main tourist attraction of the area, and Reus airport are each around 30 minutes away from Stel. In Altafuya, 15 minutes away, there is a nice castle to see and a quaint waterfront.

This place is good. Really good. I've been there a few times now, and it's absolutely perfect for a family vacation. Excellent pool, and you just walk on the beach straight from the camping. We've had a 3-person bungalow in the past, which is very small, but lately we've been using the 5-person mobil home which is ideal for us. Prices are high, very high, but this is a top quality camping. Well, more of a vacation village than just a camping site. Great beach, excellent beach bar with world class cocktails! (the mojito is to die for).

La situation du camping entre la voie ferrée où passent des TGV toutes les 5 min et la route départementale est insupportable par le bruit provoqué.
Odeur nauséabonde aux abords de la plage laisse penser que des égouts de la ville s y déversent.....
